So straight into cheerleading before I do anything else 😉
Brie, that is such a shame 😔 My only thought is that perhaps you should ask OH what he wants to do, then do it together 🤔 Neither nasty or heartless just a bit sad 😢

Siebrie, you have been busy 😥 I was exhausted just reading about your adventures, so no wonder you are struggling 😔 My initial thought reading about your husband’s news is not fit to write (I might get banned from the MSE Forum) You & your daughters definitely deserve better. Is there an HR dept at work who might be able to offer some practical advice/assistance to help you out? Sorry to hear about your foot & fingers crossed that the x-ray sheds light on the problem 🤞 As to the funeral directors, words fail me 😖 In lieu of any practical help I am sending lots of hugs 🤗

Hurrah!! OH took some of the stuff I'd bagged/boxed up to the charity shop. Not the half full bag of clothes and not my rabbit fur fedora (which is incredibly lovely but hasn't been worn more than a couple of times since I bought it 36+ years back - I am not a hat fanatic like the OH!!). I might ask the friend I'm visiting with tomorrow if she would like them (along with all the craft supplies...... she's giving me a load of lap blankets for the foodbank and maybe a handmade toy fox for my gardeners new baby).
And I had to make a trip to the main office for work and took along all my shredding. I had a lot of work shredding to do as well and I don't feel guilty using their shredder as I'm the one who provided the smaller shredder where I work (good for a sheet or 2 of paper but not a couple hundred!)
Best bit though was the OH commenting about how tidy the carport is looking.... give me a week or two and I'll be able to take a nice tidy photo!!!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. My birthday turned out to be a busy one. Got up early to feed animals, clean up messes, and get the house ready for the dog to come in as both the pool person and the gas company person were coming today. The gas company person came early to put a metal dog guard on the gas meter battery - our dog had chewed the old one in the corner. Apparently lots of dogs do this as the gas man new exactly what part was needed. The pool person hadn't arrived by the time my sister came to pick me up to go out for breakfast - so had to get other roommate up to watch the dog. We picked up my other sister who lives here in town and went out for breakfast - cinnamon French toast. It was really good and we had a great time. We then went to a local charity shop to look around - I found a pewter-colored cat pin, 8 books, and a dog toy, which were paid for by part of my birthday present. Home to get the big fish tank (20-gallon one) that was blocking part of the entryway into my sister's car. It will the home for a bearded dragon lizard when his regular home is being cleaned. My grandnephews now have lizards and tarantulas as pets, grandniece has a parakeet. And now we have space to move around again.
Got done in time to go to the bank, put money in to pay bills, go to the store and get stuff for hotdogs, and then home to pay the bills online. Car is licensed for the year. I hope it will last that long - it is a 2003 model with 182,000 miles on it.
Fed animals again, packed up the food, and three of us from the house went to pick up another friend to go to the baseball game. We were in the City of Anaheim's Box - big room with kitchen facilities, its own bathroom, and a balcony with seats to watch the game. Even had a seating area with 4 television sets. We got free tickets for working with the Friends of the Library. And the team won after three days of major losses that had my roommate going off the deep-end. Was worried about her taking the games too personally. But another friend told me she had cried after one of the games, so other people were upset too. But my roommate had to go out for a long walk to cool down after last Sunday's game. My ears were hurting from her yelling.
Now it's back to work again. Dog sitting for a little while today for sister, going to the library to get ready for next week's sale (almost done), picking up prescriptions and dog bones on the way home. Then all of us will have birthday cake my other roommate made yesterday.
Now that the tank is gone, I have several things I can get to that need to be moved out as well. So this week will see a lot of clutter go. Just needed a space for sorting.
Hope everyone is doing well.19 -
What a lovely birthday weenancy, family and friends and space where the fish tank was. 💐Siebrie, it sounds like you need a holiday, a rest from all you do. Being a single parent is relentless. ❤️ tbh being a grown up is relentless too. 🤣
I am loving your crafts. I contributed to the mse craft thread for years. Not this year, I have barely done anything with RL getting in the way. All my craft stuff is boxed up in the shed atm.I am sat in the car again. Comfy and clean and warm. I have just eaten my dinner here! I am dreaming of turning the cream wool blankets into throws and possibly cushion covers. It will be a long time before the house is clean enough to craft. We went for breakfast today with my friend from craft club and her husband. He has just finished radiotherapy for lung cancer. My poor friend looks absolutely drained and upset. I am going round next week for her to pin where my evening dresses need shortening to. They are trying to get back to normal after their recent shock. We have been to Leek ,Staffordshire this afternoon. It’s a vintage market day. A lot of charity stalls. 2 summer daytime tops for my holidays £1 each and a very smart tweed jacket for Mr V.Gotta go. Mr V is sat here waiting to go to work!

Lots done today - various appointments made and a box that had turned into a frog finally emptied and most of the contents dealt with. It was nowhere near as difficult as I had made it in my head.
OH printed something at the library so frog 3 and 4 can be started tomorrow (it’s a biggie with several parts to it which is why I am counting it as 2).Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅17 -
Hi all. I haven't been in for a while and don't have time to catch up.
Diving right in. I have been mostly clearing and cleaning DS3s flat. He has been on holiday and I had the key. It was a state. I think we have done about 25 loads of washing. A lot of stuff removed as too dirty/damaged to wash/use. Piles of baby clothes removed to pass on once washed as too small about 5 bags but not ready to pass on yet. 6 bags of right size clothes washed and returned for all 4 of the family. 5 bags held back as clothing too big for current age of 18 months and 10 years. The floors were covered in these clothes. Storage such as it was was not used for clothes. I have added some drawers and repurposed others. Provided boxes for underbed storage. Replaced all the bedding for GD2. That was all last week.
Today we donated a bag of plates and mugs to a soup kitchen.
So all in all doing ok. I hope all is well with my fellow declutterers. Take care until next time.Wife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. Hi all, gosh it's been nearly 3 weeks and 18 pages since I last posted
. I got taken over by OHs birthday celebrations
. I really don't have the energy for the constant socialising involved. It's lovely to see everyone but when it comes all in a week or so I just feel exhausted at the end of it
. Then I got caught up watching the women's world cup which is fab
but I have been keeping notes with the intention of reporting in but just not quite making it
. Anyhow lots of bins emptied, LDFPA when the weather has been good enough, medical things sorted, parcels posted and garden waste dealt with. A tip run done with hard plastic and a few things into the rag bag. Apart from that I have spent quite a bit of time knitting and reading. Hasn't the weather been dire? The past couple of days it has picked up a bit but I am a bit fed up with all the rain now
. I won't list everything as it is too late but my number is now 1104. I will try to catch up with everybody over the next couple of days but will say hugs to anybody who would like one for now.
Take care everyone
