offered 2 recorders (the musical sort, one soprano, one tenor) to my boss with whom I had a meeting today. He's in a choir so it occurred to me that he might know someone who might like them. I haven't used either for over 30 years, I assume they still work ok as they were good quality. So he's said he'll think about it and maybe ask a friend who does repairs on wind instruments. It's one of those things that was a bit of a bandage removal moment - I thought of it and decided if I didn't do something quickly it would be too painful. Now I just have to make sure I can lay my hands on both of them (I dropped one in the garage the other day so assume the other is nearby....) and that they haven't had anything decide to move in (insects or something.....)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Thanks Mrs SD! Yes the 4th shelf contains snacks for the dc..... I expect constant snacking and then growth spurts over the next 6 weeks 😂.
One box filled this evening: a cat bed that Ziggy doesn't like.... think it it too padded, a load of toys that dc never play with and kids paperwork/creations that once made they never look at again. I have also filled 1/2 a bag of rubbish.2024 decluttering Campaign

MrsSD - micro suction is not painful.
We didn't find the blood test form so Mr F phoned the surgery to ask for an email to be sent so he could print it off. He told me that he was number 60 in the queue then it said he was no 14 - they must have said that he was no 16 - this is the day after his ears have been cleared!
4 hours out today - bus journeys + the blood tests were running late - had been an emergency + we got some shopping. We got the primer for J to do the painting next week.
I saw some gold colour crushed velvet fabric with a stiff backing in The Rang - Mr F sweet talked the girl cutting the fabric for a discount - it was £8 metre - I got 1 metre 10 cms for £3!
I got really cross with Mr F today - we got on a bus that had standing passengers - no spare seats - I said to Mr F - I will ask someone to get up so you can sit down. I did this - some nice young girls got up for me - only to have Mr F stand near the driver holding on to a pole. He wouldn't sit down - I apologised to the girls for getting them out of their seats. At the next stop - so many people were getting off and Mr F was in the way with the shopping trolley - which he had insisted on pulling. So Mr F stepped off the bus to allow passengers to alight - then he fell - getting back on the bus. A friend came to tell me in case I hadn't seen. I was really annoyed with Mr F - told him that a break in the skin from falling against the bus step would take a while to heal now that he was older and less mobile - I tried to frighten him by saying about ulcers - will he listen?????Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
13:00 wm finished, DH’s trousers out on whirligig even though it has clouded over 😔 Fingers crossed that it doesn’t rain as the waterproofing doesn’t work until the garment has been dried🤞My trousers & a fleece are now in wm.
Took some hm Bolognaise sauce out of the freezer for tonight’s dinner. DH now lying on bed with his leg elevated. I am going to remove DH’s clean clothes from the laundry basket & put them away ✅ My wardrobe sort out will have to wait as I need our bed as a flat surface to sort out & see what I have - excuses, excuses 🤣 14:04 no deliveries yet. I am watching the Sewing Bee semifinal with full concentration & trying to be unbiased 😉 I have 3 favourites but I think I will be down to 2 by the end of the semifinal 😔 It has come over very dark but 🤞it won’t actually rain. I am now watching the made to measure section of Sewing Bee - they are making boiler suits 😉 My absolute favourite won garment of the week & yes, I am down to 2 favourites. 14:45 & 3 parcels were delivered - I now have my darning mushroom + black & grey mending wool, a Book of U.K. Birds - comprehensively detailed with pictures of birds in flight 🥳 so my hope is that I will get better at identifying raptors in flight 🤞 Now I have my darning mushroom, I have repaired the large hole in DH’s sock 🥳 I used both colour threads so I could see what I was doing 😉 Spent the rest of the afternoon clearing down more of my programmes from the TV Planner. Shredded all the receipts from our trip to Scotland. The pasta of choice tonight was conchiglie (shells by any other name 😉) with some lo for a one person snack tomorrow 🤤 Wudupa.

EnergyShifter, I think you should pop into the TLC Carriage to catch up with reading the posts 😉 as all work & no play makes for a dull life 😔 So pleased to hear that the CBT has gone so well & that you were fortunate enough to have a skilled therapist with whom you got on 😊 Fingers crossed that you have found THE dress for the wedding 🤞
Brie, I am keeping everything crossed that 1. you find both recorders 2. no unwelcome visitors have moved in & 3. your boss’s friend would like them 🤞
Dfw38, I hope your poor DH gets to have at least one snack or at least a goodie 😅 As long as the DC’s growth spurts stop at least a week before they return to school so you have a little time to sort out any uniform requirements 😉 Excellent decluttering 👏 Love that Ziggy’s character is coming through & he is already helping you declutter 😊
Florenceem, a relief that micro suction isn’t painful 😮💨 although in MrF’s case it would appear they didn’t do a very good job 😉😉 Brownie points to MrF for getting such a bargain re the fabric 😊 but he lost twice as many by being stubborn & not sitting down & then lost even more by falling 😔 Hopefully he has listened to you 🤞🤞🤞
Dfw38, that is a lot of space created by decluttering toot toot drivers stuff 🤩 DS’s room must look almost empty now 😉 I also really like the fact that your DS doesn’t seem to like noisy toys 😊
oceanspirit, every little bit helps 👏 Great work uu OH’s short dated food 👏
Sleep well everyone, see you later 👋

Took another box of stuff to the chaz I found a week or 2 ago as I was nearby. Nothing huge, I just went round the house before I went out and grabbed things I don't use, trying not to overthink, and put them in. I can't remember what half of them were now.Busy weekend as I'm helping family, but I'll do another box later and put it in the car.Magnolia Stellata14

Don't worry Mrs SD, dh has a cupboard out of reach of the dc that he keeps fully stocked at all times 😉. I hope Mr SD feels better soon 🤗
The toys never even reached ds room, some of them were in the living room and some didnt even get unbagged. I prefer open ended toy's and am thinking of painting a dolls house each for the dc for Xmas. Seen offers on one in hobbycraft which would be perfect for each. 😁
Another box filled and we are spending the day doing crafts (hoping to use it up over the holiday) and oddjobs. The dc are tired (and so am i) we will have a movie this afternoon after 2nd dd has made some cookies to enjoy.
