I've resolved the green/gold wedding theme issue - ordered a nice gold statement necklace from eBay - it's nothing special but I'm happy that I only spent £8 on it rather than £28 - and it means that I can stop thinking about the outfit!
Tasks:
Washed, dried and put away winter coat and blankets
Did flight check-in & additional info
Did bio etc for one of the places I work (put it off to the day of the deadline)
Returned green dress to TKMaxx - don't need it now I have my outfit sorted
IN (running total 87)
88. Book
89. Statement necklace
90. Earrings to go with necklace

Hello everyone. Been very very busy since my meltdown last weekend. Me and hubby spent a lovely afternoon at a craft fayre Sunday and I did buy some bits (which I loved) and rather a lot of cake…
since then it’s been work work work with some hours planting things out the front and watching the Chelsea Flower Show. I love most of the show gardens but just don’t get the recycled reclaimed sustainable bricks and metal with weeds….and those designers sulk if they don’t get gold medals…wierd people.
Dog1 is looking better - her eye is still gungy but that lump seems to be coming down a bit. Dog2 is still obsessed with the birds nesting and frequently come in the kitchen chuntering on.
Work is…..bite tongue….not much longer.
and dad has been taken into hospital- suspected heart attack at first but they think infection. I will know more tomorrow.
keep going everyone!⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

Hi all, I spent most of the day at OHs doing the garden. I tackled the "lawn" which was actually more like a meadow as the grass was knee high. I couldn't attempt it with the mower so used the strimmer but it was quite wet near the roots so even struggled using the strimmer. My initial thought was to strim it and then run the mower over it but it was too wet so collected the cut grass using the rake and then went to work on the stinging nettles in the "flower" border. Managed to fill the green waste bin, 3 very large bags full, and I have suggested to OH we go back on Sunday to give it another go over. I don't think the bin will have been emptied by then so we will have to take the large garden bags and drop them at the tip on the way home. When I got home I repotted a baby rhubarb OH has aquired. It was in a small pot but is now in a very big pot
. I also decluttered a large caterpillar that was having a fine old time munching on the leaves. I had a coffee over the fence with ln and she has decluttered some bluebells to me. I will put them in pots tomorrow until I decide where I want them to go
.
I didn't get around to doing the stuff from the post so that will have to be done tomorrow as well. I am heading to bed now as I am worn out
Hugs to everyone who would like one

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Wednesday was a bright sunny day until about 15:00, then clouded over but stayed dry & warm. For me, it was one of those days where I couldn’t be bothered to do anything 😔 Only things I did were dealing with my post & doing the wudupa.
1225 - 1226 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled

Hi all, the local magpies have had me awake for an hour and I am just having a cuppa as they seem to have finally flown off somewhere
. I have spent my time calculating how far behind I am on my target 😢. I make it 18 days worth so I really do need to crack on. I have definitely slipped in the past couple of weeks so I will be reviewing my to do list today and trying hard to get back on track, after I have had a bit more sleep
Take care everyone

I didn't wake up until 7.15 - brain fog - set alarm for wrong day - I went to bed at 8.30.
I won't test today as I had such a strong positive yesterday.
Need to put the bin up the drive today - will see how heavy it is - full up - may have to ask DGS J to come and do it.
One DD is going back to work today for the last 2 days before half term.
Plan to tackle the office again today plus make a Birthday card.

I’ve enjoyed looking at the lovely garden photos and the superhero achievement of @Florenceem in her garage!Well done to all for the amazing decluttering and 🐸 eating that is so inspiring 👏 I am especially impressed by the full kitchen turnout!
I decluttered my car of my garden centre purchases and got most of my outdoor planters emptied and refilled. Hopefully we are clear of the possibility of frost now for them all to be safe outside. I’ll pop some fleece over them if it does get chilly again.I’m giving my box bushes a haircut so two sacks of trimmings were taken to the recycling centre. I still have a few more to go but my back doesn’t like the activity so it will just need to be one bush a day.Yesterday I unearthed all my delicate hand washing from its laundry bag and got all that washed and dried. It’s been in that bag since last summer! It was mainly silk blouses and tops. I’ve now binned the tatty old bag and will put everything in the regular laundry basket. This way I can’t forget/ignore them as easily. The separate bag system started to stop Mr MV from ruining my clothes by throwing everything in the washing machine together, however now he just sticks to washing his own clothes anyway. Because the silk needs to drip dry, I think I will put a hook up over the bathtub that I can use when the weather isn’t good enough for hanging clothes outside.I have started on the shed as Mr MV is needing to replace the roof. He has dragged stuff out onto the grass, which I hope means that the spiders will have already made their getaway. It’s easier and more enjoyable to do these things in the sunshine too.16 -
Morning all
Mrs S_D the weather in Bruges was great, we were so lucky!
I'm enjoying the garden pics too - my garden is only small but it is not pretty - especially now the shed has been dismantled as that corner is messy and overhung by trees; very much WiP.
When I was packing to go away I looked through my meagre supply of makeup and threw out a couple of very old items. I also got my summer clothes out and have spotted a couple of things for the CS and added to the pile of stuff for v!nted, which I will ask DD1 to list for me. I give them a few weeks and if they don't sell they go off to the CS
I have decluttered the fridge of most food so I am going to clean it before doing a food shop; DD2 is coming home for the weekend
@TC77, when DD2 left her flat after her degree the landlord tried to keep all their deposit claiming for faults that were there when they moved in (lose ceiling tiles etc) - DD2 was having none of it and complained, with picture and video evidence and they eventually got back their whole deposit - it took a while but the landlord company were awful
I'm wfh today and need to declutter lots of work tasks

Went through some clothes yesterday - just one pair of trousers to go so far. Set a frog rolling (or should that be hopping?) and need to get the next part of that done today.Put winter clothes into a box to go in top of wardrobe so OH can have some hanging space when he moves in. Need to wash a couple of jumpers before storing them so will get those done later today.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅18
