DGS at uni - helped me declutter £££££s.
I am even more convinced that Mr F is a hoarder like his Mother - been looking in the office drawers.
As I was working in the office and looking round - I thought - what if Mr F doesn't get fit enough to return home - I am trimming down the office contents but having no office would be mega work.
My SA officer phoned to ask how I was tonight.
Last Freegler collected so lots gone today.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Hi all, the last 2 days I have been mostly pottering around the house and garden randomly chucking stuff in various bins. I have done 3 more loads of washing, including winter fleece jackets etc, which have been line dried, folded and put away and I have emptied the kitchen bin. I can't seem to concentrate on a job hence the wandering around. Today I sorted the post and have 2 tasks to do from that, hopefully I will do them tomorrow before they turn into frogs. Also went shopping. I had to go to 2 sm as the first one didn't have everything I needed. All the shopping has been put away and we now should have enough to last a good few days. I had coffee over the fence with ln. She was away at her grandson's wedding while we were away so had lots of fab photos to show off
OH was out for tea tonight so I was able to please myself and had a portion of my veg stew from the freezer
while decluttering some things from the tv planner. We have arranged to visit OHs very pregnant niece on Thursday and OH is going to take the lawn mower from OHs house for her as they have discovered that the downside of having a lawn is that it needs to be cut regularly. Previously they have lived in flats
and have absolutely no spare money to buy one. It means that my lawn mower will have to be used in both gardens but it should be doable.
For some reason I am very sleepy tonight so I will just say hugs to anybody who would like one and head off to bed now
693 - 695 3x loads of washing sorted
696 kitchen bin emptied
Take care everyone18 -
@vulpix - I have that book. You are right is it lovely reading.
Cleaned up the miscellaneous stuff around the house yesterday so dog could come in today without finding anything wrong to chew on. When she came in this morning, she stuck to her dog bone and toys. So it was a good visit - she loves have her stomach scratched.
Finished up the work for all of my classes now. Plan on taking the summer off and then taking classes again in the Fall - which for some reason starts the first part of August! I remember when we used to get three months off for the summer to play. Now the classes for all grades are only off two months and everyone goes back to school during the hottest part of the year. Not all of our schools have air conditioning either. The rule used to be if the temperature was over 102F (about 39C), we got to go home. There were several days that qualified last year.
Went to the eye doctor today - after 8 pages of what could go wrong, I am a bit more nervous than I was. But I also know from what my mother went through that I will lose my eyesight from the cataracts eventually if I don't have it done.
Off to the Family History Center now. Take care all.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Dinner was the 2nd pizza that DSis purchased 😋 I have watered the garden & put partially dried clothes into td for 30 minutes to finish off. DH finally arrived home 23:20 😱 Delayed for 40 minutes on M62 due to an accident, then various other roads closed delaying him even further 😔 Wudupa.

weenancy, is this the husky or your sister’s dog that visits? Now that all your classes are finished, does this mean that you will have a little time to sleep and give yourself some TLC 🙏😉 Sorry to hear that the doctor has made you more nervous about your cataract operation 😔

Morning All, feel like I have hardly slept. Hayfever and Chronic sinus pain/headache I've had for weeks is wearing me down. Time to speak to the Dr's again.
I am hanging in until the long weekend went we can focus on decluttering and the garden. The weeds grow at an alarmimg rate. Before school today I need to finish a pair of ladybird wings for DD to wear to school.
Work OK but colleagues spent yesterday moaning and whinging and one keeps snapping at me. Managers throwing strops because their teams don't get dedicated support. Trying to keep it at arms length and not get involved.19 -
Going to do a test today.
Plan to work on sorting the office - think I will make up a box of bits to put on Freecycle - if anyone wants stuff.
I have said before - I think - about Mr F having a thing about keeping/having - paper/boxes/bags - well the list grows - I keep finding little hoards of items in the office so add to the list - envelopes/files/plugs/light bulbs.
I found a drawer with lots of loose batteries - will have quite a bag full for recycling when I can get out again.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Morning All,
well yesterday I came away from parents house with very little. It was almost nothing too. It was a magnet on a string and a quality pencil eraser.
Why would a grown adult remove something that a young boy would have so much fun with? It has sure made myself chuckle at my choices. I do already have a magnet on a string and only just last week had cause to use it to find the cut nails, screws and other metal fragments that DH had discarded into the rough ground whilst removing said items from free wood that we burn. He went out on his bike last Saturday but it was me who had ensured the risk of metal object would not be in a tyre before he got it from the bottom of the garden to the road side. I will donate the smaller magnet to DH in his workshop/shed. I look forward to dragging my new magnet along the beach to see what I can find
Last weeks collection from the parents house I collected in our van with the intension of taking it to the tip, I decided that I would go through the bags again as I knew I could whittle them down some more by sorting again better for recycling. The van is nearly empty by doing just that. Happy that it's not just pure waste for landfill. There were 4 items retrieved from there but not to stay they are only visiting.
@Florenceem your decluttering is commendable and what makes you and Mr F a team. I hope he finds peace in your achievements and that the loudness of the "mess" is no longer there for him to worry about. Would it help to show him some "small tidy areas" and build that visual up for him and knowing it will be calmer when he gets home. Take care of yourself too.

Morning all
Had a quick skim read to catch up on news.
I've just decluttered a lovely holiday to Bruges! Went with DD2 on eurostar - met in London on Friday night and spent Sat - Tues there; home late last night and DD1 picked me up from the station. Managed to bring home over 100 euros so might convert those back into pounds. I have been enjoying Belgian waffles and chocolate so need to declutter some lbs now yikes!
It was really lovely to declutter my paid jobs and leave my laptop at home. Now back to the grindstone ....
love to all

Thank you for the gold star Mrs SD.My back is easier today. Mr V itching to go out somewhere. He doesn’t mind where, he just likes going out. So we will be going out shortly! Drop off at the chazzer first. I forgot, there are also two beaded door curtain things. One is damaged but I will offer it on the thrift site. There are a lot of beads for crafts in it.
Mrs SD, if you want to change your garden I would suggest standing at the bedroom window and taking time to really look at the space. Take a photo too. I know you said the garden is South facing and you have a very happy established olive tree and that you like to grow veg. Work round the tree, anything else can be changed. Think about how you use the garden. Sitting area ,washing, Lawn? I am too old for lawns and hedges so don’t have them anymore. More than happy to help, pm me if you like. I would also advise to visit gardens in the national garden scheme. Not professional gardens but ordinary gardens in your area. Most times you can chat with the owner who will be a fount of knowledge about what works in your area. Usually tea and cake on offer and sometimes plants for sale too.I am sorry to hear of your sinusitis Fizz it’s grim.Makes life so much harder. Definitely go to the Dr.Florenceem I hope you test negative today.Think we may be off to Leek, not been for ages and it’s a proper old style market today.Vx:17
