Just checking in - will have some numbers to report later. Pool cover came but waiting for steps as smallest DGS can't get in on his own. Cover certainly seems to have kept the flies off the top of water. Plan today - done some family history and got in a muddle so left it for the moment; dishwasher emptied and loaded, washing done and on line; going to tip; then swimming; then Mr M; then collect children (they have a party tea at neighbours so need to get birthday card). After tomorrow they are not here until Thursday.
Have a good day everyone.2025 Decluttering Campaign 607/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

We have started moving the items in storage at neighbours' place back to our own. The stuff has been there for nearly a year! There was some leakage, so we will have to throw away the pull-out sofabed, but that's fine, as it was a point of discussion between husband and I: I thought it was in too bad a state to be sent to Africa, but he insisted; now, he doesn't have a choice anymore. Our attic now has a T-shape (lying flat), so all camping equipment will to in the foot of the T, clothes will go into 1 arm, and seasonal decorations and gift wrap in another. I have not yet decided where toys and miscellaneous go.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5917

Got my rubbish bin up the slope - will do the food bin this evening.
A SA friend has just delivered a lovely bunch of flowers.
I have put a 1970s chair bed in the drive in the hope that someone will take it.
I plan to get rid of the huge photocopier in the office - no idea how heavy it is. No idea if scrap men will want it or it is another trip to the tip for DSil.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday is a bright day but cloudy - hopefully the sun will come out later. I was up & dressed before 12:00 - so already an improvement on yesterday 😅 I will try to catch up a little on the cheerleading whilst drinking my first cuppa 🤞
vulpix, very pleased to hear that your back is getting better 🙂 Enjoy your trip to Leek & fingers crossed that MrV doesn’t spend too much 😉 Lovely supportive post 😊 I will give your idea a go - although I will need to sort out the spare Room of Doom first to get a decent view of the garden, as the view from the office is blocked by the olive tree 😉
Good decluttering Wednesday2000 👏
GrannyKate, not sure you had a particularly slow start yesterday 🤔 An excellent morning’s decluttering 👏 I am inclined to agree that the boxes in the wardrobe should probably be sorted first 😉 Hope you had a lovely lunch with your new group of friends 😊
Florenceem, sorry to hear that you are still testing positive 😔 Keeping everything crossed that the ‘newly discovered’ drawer contains a stack of tenners 🤞 rather than more envelopes 😉 I think that is definitely an appropriate phrase “end of term worn outitis” Hopefully both DD’s can have a restful break & fully recharge their batteries before returning to the fray 🤞
QueenJess ‘noooooo’ 😱 If there was a thread just showing before & after photos I would do even less decluttering than I am currently doing 🤣 Hopefully the more you take time to concentrate on your wellbeing the less ‘odd’ it will feel 🤞I think you already sound a lot brighter 😊 Excellent decluttering & I am especially impressed with your DS sorting out his cars - another medal 🏅 is coming his way 👏
Lovely post Fayolle 😊 With 1.5 allotments to cope with I am not surprised you have so little time to rejig your own garden 😥 Excellent work sorting out your clothes 👏 I really do need to tackle mine again as I didn’t realise quite how many t-shirts I have - must be at least 50 😔 Hopefully your Justins will enjoy their new location in the cs 😉
Excellent decluttering Dfw38 👏 The CS will be grateful for such a large donation of items 😊 Good luck filling the car for your Tip run on Friday 🍀
Florenceem, that is a huge number of envelopes - 650 😱 Sadly I imagine that they were all empty & there was no hidden stash of tenners 😔☹️ Excellent work clearing out the drawers - you are over halfway 👏 Pleased to hear that MrF is getting some fresh air 😊 as hospitals generally feel rather ‘stuffy’ indoors ☹️
Brie, sounds like you have lovely neighbours 😊 The only trouble with having ‘garden proud’ neighbours is that it tends to make the work you need to do in your own garden more noticeable by comparison 😔Hopefully the weather is being kind so that you can barbecue to your heart’s content 😉
TC77, hopefully DD1 can declutter some of her stuff before going on holiday, so that she takes less to her new flat 🤞Well done on earning a bit of cash from sales but a shame that it was eaten up & then some by getting the car serviced 😔 Fell off the sofa laughing at the car dealers comment 🤣 Good job you were on the phone rather than visiting in person as I am not sure you wouldn’t have had an OTT reaction to his comment 😱 😉
I have caught up one page of cheerleading so will post this now. DH is up now & waiting for a shopping list 😉 Will be back later 👋

Having a low energy day which isn't like me at all. Both dds were tired and emotional before school so not sure if we are coming down with something 🤔. Put some camping stuff in loft and removed the travel guides for the cs. By the time we get to Sydney, Hong Kong, Prague or Rome they will be out of date 😄. Have spent the past hour wrapping dds birthday presents. (July and August birthdays). I have ordered 2nd dd 2 presents from c@th k!,dston website - a teaset in a case and a large unicorn backpack to go with her main present of Princess Aurora dolly and princess stationary set. Both were in the sale. Going to have a rummage through her party supplies to see what else we need. Paranoid I will forget something crucial when the time comes 🤯. Hope all is well with your dad @muddy_walker.2024 decluttering Campaign

I have only found a £1 coin in the office - no tenners.
I have done 6 of the 8 drawers and leaving the last two - I am drawed out!
Almost done the shredding that I decided to get done in the office. Think I may have around 30 sacks of shredding ready to go in the garage - good job there is space now to put them.
I have absolutely no idea how the photocopier was carried upstairs to the office or how it is going to leave it! So big and heavy.
Spoke to Mr F - he had been outside today with the physios.
I have asked another neighbour if I can use her bin as mine and next doors are full.

It wasn’t my finest idea to go out yesterday. Another day on my back in bed today. I am so frustrated. I wanted to empty the pantry this week and I have plants to go in the garden. Still Mr V is sorting out the car full of his stuff he brought from his Mother’s garage. A lot for the tip and some for a broadcasting buddy.Fayolle, I am not surprised you don’t have time to do your garden when you have allotments to tend. Don’t give up on the idea though. With hard landscaping I moved very slowly. I knew what l wanted and inched forward. It took all summer but saved a fortune. I am time rich. I will post a photo. Sorry everyone else who isn’t interested. This is the gravel garden this time last year. The builder made steps and retaining wall though
Dfw38 I worked at a primary school and the younger children were very tired when a holiday was due. Same for the staff as you know Florenceem.Thank you everyone for posting and keeping me entertained.Vx:14 -
As luck would have it a found an email from a freegler who wanted to stop by and pick up an easel. 10 minutes before the time she has suggested. And I was at work across town. Sigh. Have suggested back that tomorrow morning would work or maybe I can drop it at hers.
On a small but positive note....I have decluttered half the poppy seeds in the greenhouse into the side border and 2 weedy spots on the verge on the half hope of them springing up some year soon. The other half will be passed along to a friend I'm meeting for dinner tonight. wonder if I should take along the pack of nasturtiums in case I can pass those along to someone too.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
