@Florenceem, those pictures say it all! What a brilliant difference.
Probably no (or not much) decluttering today for me as I am back at work today. I will do a clean and tidy of the kitchen when I get home and may make a start lisiting those books for sale but that's about it.18 -
@Florenceem the decluttering you have achieved is amazing and inspiring 👏 along Mr F being in hospital and having Covid. They says a picture speaks a 1000 words and you before and after pictures show your hard work and perseverance. Xx15
-
Just had a Freegler collect from the porch - have 2 more coming today.
Going to work in the office now.
I was filling in a form but realised that I need to get Mr F to sign it - wonder how long before I can visit the hospital.14 -
Wow garage is amazing @Florenceem. Take it easy and give yourself time to get over Covid. Not much done hers far today. new pool is filled up and hope fully some accessories will come today. I cancelled AMPrime from 1 June as it was a waste of money for me.
690 Banking done - could be worse
691 Bag of plastic to Coop
692 Family history stuff ready to send off to contact down under.
693 Planting some things out, put more bulbs to die off behind shed.
Will go to Mr I on way to school as it is 10% off today. Need some drinks and bits. Out to lunch tomorrow. They offered to come and finish dishwasher repair tomorrow but put it off until Tuesday next week. Lots of frogs croaking around the house.
Front garden looking nice in the sun last night. We lost front lawn to chafer bugs the year before DH died - four and a half years now. New lawn not very good although no sign of bugs anymore. I extended the gravelled border and have some things planted in ground and others in pots.

Apologies for not posting yesterday 😔 I did wake DH, hugged him goodbye & then went to bed. He left about 7:00 a.m 😉 I managed a couple of hours sleep then got up had a cuppa, read for a couple of hours then went back to bed until about 15:00 hrs. Meanwhile DSis went out shopping. Dinner was M&S thin crust pizza with an eclair for afters 😋 The only thing I did all day was wudupa. Lovely surprise - DB phoned & was unusually chatty 😊 His in-laws are currently heading to Croatia in their touring van, my DSisiL is away on a school trip & DB is taking care of his 2 boys + the four cats, 2 dogs & 9 chickens 😂 The chickens are laying about 50 eggs each week, so DSisiL is selling them at school to cover feed cost. Sounds like a madhouse to me 😉 DB confirmed he is coming over for our uncle’s funeral & will be staying with friends.
DH phoned from his hotel room - he had a very good day & the weather was perfect for motorcycling 🙂 Tuesday he will be skirting Liverpool & Manchester on his way home.
1216 - 1218 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, plastic bottles - recycled
1219 - 1220 Kitchen & DDis bedroom detritus - binned
Tuesday is another dry day but still overcast at 12:30. I got up about 11:15, watered my seed pots whilst the kettle was boiling for my first cuppa. I now have some seedlings - 15 French Breakfast radishes, 1 globe radish, 1 tomato 🥳 I had brought down washing to do but DSis requested to do hers first 😔 She had tried a new washing gel on her previous wash but has come up in blotches, so has gone back to her old tried & trusted washing gel 🤞
Will now play catch up with the cheerleading as I am 40 posts behind 😥 Timer is on so here I go 🤞
oceanspirit, sorry to hear that you have been so fatigued 😔 Hopefully you are now fully recovered & can get started on the decluttering & packing up of OH’s possessions 🤞 Four weeks is not a lot of time but it sounds like you have used your time wisely to plan 👏 Well done on having empty cupboards & space in the loft 👏
Lovely supportive post TC77 😊 Pleased to hear that DD1 has found her passport 🙂 Your plan of doing little & often decluttering & cleaning should soon start to show results & I want you to promise me that you will celebrate each success 🙏😉
Excellent decluttering QueenJess & well done on keeping your purse/wallet firmly closed & NOT buying cosmetics 👏
Great decluttering vulpix 👏 Squirrels are fascinating creatures 😉 but so destructive 😔 I have lost count of the number of bird feeders we have had to bin ☹️
charlies_tribe, what a busy weekend you & DH had 👏 Excellent decluttering of the baking cupboard & well done DD2 for such a comprehensive list 👏 One medal 🏅 for each of you 😊 I hope Monday’s weather was nice enough for DH to start tackling your garden & that the wm can be fixed🤞
Lovely post ~FlowerPot~ 😊 Sorry to hear about the water logged garden - sounds like a big job to sort out the underground pipes 😱
Liverpool_Anne, well done on catching up with the reading 👏 Excellent work getting all your washing done & line dried over the weekend 👏
GrannyKate, shame about the paddling pool having a leak but well done on reaching a quick decision re the replacement 👏 Excellent decluttering 👏 but how annoying accidentally decluttering a favourite storage pot 😔 Good luck with the potential loft decluttering 🍀
Sorry to hear that you are feeling so unwell Florenceem 😔 Sounds like you are a dreadful patient 😉but please do try to rest or at least slow down in your decluttering 🙏 Your body is telling you to rest so now you just have to get your mind to catch up 😉
Excellent work allie23 👏 & well done on selling a couple of items 👏 Do you have a plan for any monies raised?
First 23 minute session done, so timer is back on as I am still managing to concentrate 🙂 I have relocated outside as DSis wanted to put the TV on & watch some of her programmes 😉
foxandflowers, an absolutely brilliant 5 days of decluttering & dealing with frogs🥳👏 You have been so busy & so successful that I am awarding you THREE Gold Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - one for 139/365 & two for dealing with 10 frogs 👏
Siebrie, I will say again that your DMum is a remarkable woman 🤩 I echo Wednesday2000’s sentiment that “your sister sounds awful” & florianatwobob’s comment that your sister is “a wotsit” 😖 & vulpix’s description of “awful” I can see that you are wise to her ways but it must still be rather exhausting & stressful having to second guess what “cunning & petty” and vindictive idea she comes up with next 😔
Florenceem, excellent decluttering & tidying 👏 I am very relieved to hear that you are taking plenty of rests & pacing yourself in between decluttering sessions 🤞I am really enjoying the Biblical wisdom 😊
2nd 23 minute session completed & I took a break 😉 DSis’s washing is on the whirligig & my 1st load is in. I am enjoying being outside now as the sun has come out 😊 Started my 3rd 23 minutes but have decided to post this & do a couple of odd jobs which I will report on when I come back 😅

14:45 - I am back having filled the bird feeders, filled in the deepest holes in the patio concrete & read a magazine which has been recycled - 1221
Stopwatch restarted & back to cheerleading 😉
Siebrie, great advice for Florenceem 😊 Hopefully her doctor will approve this exercise for Florenceem 🤞
Wednesday2000, definitely sounds like a lovely weekend - almost a mini break 😊 The only trouble is that it wasn’t long enough 😉 Excellent work decluttering & completing tasks 👏 Thanks for the heads up about the new series of Sort Your Life Out 👏 I can hardly wait 😉
Broke off to hang 1st load of washing out & load wm with 2nd load + made a cuppa 🙂 Sadly the sun has gone in but it is still warm & dry 👏
vulpix, perhaps your brother & Siebrie’s sister were related in a previous life 😱 ‘Well done on cracking two of three stages of weight loss’😉 wishing you every success & lots of willpower on cracking the 3rd stage of maintenance 😊🤞Lovely supportive post 😊 & good luck with decluttering MiL’s attic 🍀
Brie, such a shame about your grandmother’s beautiful linen 😔 but well done on converting a tablecloth to linen squares 👏 I hope these are in daily use 😉 What a nice sounding homeopathic remedy for a sore throat 🙂 Excellent work in the garden 👏 although hampered by Fagin’s Foxes 😬Fingers crossed that your remedial treatment works for the sweet peas 🤞
Florenceem, please slow down 🙏 I would imagine that there is a lot of dust in the office so that will be exacerbating your health issues 😔 Sorry to hear that MrF was feeling down yesterday 😔
Great decluttering roundtuit 👏
Your garden looks stunning vulpix 🤩 A testament to all the hard work both you & MrV have done 👏One medal 🏅 coming your way 😊
Excellent work sorting out your book collection allie23 👏 Good luck with the selling 🍀
Excellent tidying & decluttering roundtuit 👏 I love the sentiment: “Never forget: Strength doesn't come from what you can do. It comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn't”
Florenceem, I see that Floss & Brie have answered your query re old paperwork 🙂 My inclination would be to burn it - but then I am overly cautious 😔
Excellent work TC77 👏 I see the new approach of ‘little & often’ is working 🙂
Fifth 23 minute session completed so posting & will have a late lunch of a bowl of hm soup. Gradually catching up 🤞

GrannyKate - lovely garden.
MrsSD - I am wearing a mask while working in the office.
4 Freeglers down and 1 to go today.
I have started to fill my second red bag of card & paper. Think I am on no 22 sack of shredding now.15 -
Thank you for my medal Mrs SD. I have to admit the garden is all my doing. Mr V has no interest, although he will lift heavy things if I ask.Granny Kate, lovely garden. I am a gardenaholic. I love them all.I have enjoyed planning and making a garden in our last 4 houses. I laid the patio and built a stone wall at the previous house. I just don’t have the stamina for that these days. I enjoy visiting gardens with the National garden scheme. Always come away with someone else’s good ideas 😉
I have spent the day in bed. I have pulled my back. Nurse Fomo is in attendance. For the chazzer from MIl’s loft. 2 suit cases, a shopping trolley, a Christmas card holder, 2 boxes of books. Some new pillows and a duvet that I don’t know what to do with. Also a massive family bible. In the books were some I was talking about the other day so I will keep them. Lillian Beckwith The Hills is Lonely. If you haven’t read them weenancy they are a lovely easy read. Though I don’t know how well they have aged since I last read them in the 1970’s.I have earmarked another couple of tops to go. Hopefully I will be better tomorrow.Vx:15 -

16:15 2nd load of washing out on line. Sadly none of the first load is dry as the sunshine has been infrequent 😔 I enjoyed my soup & am currently catching up on True Blood before resuming my cheerleading.
17:44 - just spent 30 minutes weeding the front path with my new toy 😉 Why do weeds always grow so quickly 😥 Now back to cheerleading as I need a rest 😉
Monday was very busy weenancy 👏 What a wonderful new project to sink your teeth into 🤩Hopefully you will be top of the class on both your tests 🤞 Belated Happy Birthday to Di 🎉 🎂Excellent decluttering of electronic clutter 👏 Everything crossed that the last week of May becomes sunny & warm - as it should be 🤞Hope you have a really good week weenancy 😊 & that your 1st cataract operation goes well 🤞Remember what I said - obey the doctor’s orders to the letter 😉🙏
Florenceem, sorry to hear that you are still lacking in energy 😔 However, your body is still telling you that you need to slow down…….at least a little 🙏 I was pleased to hear that MrF is getting used to the mobile phone 😉 now he just needs reminding to hold it closer when speaking 😉 Maybe he thinks you have the hearing of a bat 😂 Hopefully the builder will give you a reasonable quote for the work on the front garden 🤞 Good luck completing the garage tidying & decluttering 🍀
~FlowerPot~, what a lovely post 😊 and thank you for reminding Florenceem of how much she has done & your hope that Florenceem is taking time to acknowledge how very hard she has worked & how successful she has been 🤩
Great idea Siebrie 👏
18:15 DH has just phoned. He underestimated the time it would take to travel around Manchester & Liverpool so won’t be home until 22:30 at the earliest 😔 As I had the phone in my hand I phoned cousin R but had to leave a message 😔 I never know what to say ☹️ R phoned back within 5 minutes - it transpired that she had forgotten to turn up the volume on her phone when she got home from work 😉 We had a lovely chat & I confirmed that my DB would be attending the funeral. R has spoken to her dad’s doctor & was relieved to learn that her father died peacefully probably pneumonia & that the coroner was only giving the technical explanation of cause of death.
foxandflowers, maybe you thought you could revive the Pritt stick 😉 As to your eating habits I thought you were describing mine (although not for the same reasons) Perhaps we should both plan our eating patterns 😅 Sorry to hear that you are feeling so stressed at the moment 😔
Florenceem, wow 🤩 What a wonderful achievement - the garage looks great 👏 I agree with foxandflowers & -taff that you should definitely be ‘patting yourself on the back’, at the very least 😉
Excellent work sorting your wardrobe & swapping out your winter clothing for summer clothing, Wednesday2000 👏 What a great idea for drying clothing 👏 I learn something new & useful every day 😊
Excellent work oceanspirit 👏 and well done to you & OH for making an outline plan for clearing two properties 👏 Good luck 🍀
Well said ~FlowerPot~ 😊 Now we just have to persuade Florenceem that she has done an extraordinary job & should take time to celebrate 🤞
Florenceem, pleased to hear that you are ‘only’ doing little jobs 😉 The work you have done getting the garage cleared has been phenomenal 👏🤩 I was just thinking that maybe the spiders thought it was too cluttered to take up residence 🤔 🤣 sorry my mind does go off into the realms of fantasy sometimes 😉 I hope I am as fit as you when I get to almost 73 🤞
allie23, every little task completed helps towards your vision of a decluttered home 👏
Lovely post Fizz2015 😊
Florenceem, well done on completing the form 👏 Hopefully you will be able to visit MrF soon 🤞
Just noticed the time, so will post this & sort out some dinner 😉
P.s. I forgot to use my stopwatch but I am almost caught up now
