we've been delcuttering water
(but not much else!)DH mowed the lawn and found a squishy patch
On investigation we think theres an old pipe that runs to an outside tap. Not sure on its course, but we do now have a large hole in the lawn and it was filling up with water. Found the stopcock for the outside water and fingers crossed thats stopped it. Its only slight, but still obviously need sorting ASAP Such fun!Florenceem ~ I do hope you start to feel a little better tomorrow, please do rest up even though i can see you find it hard to rest. You have done an enormous amount of work over the last few weeks. xVulpix~ thats a great amount of weight loss, well done x♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Hi all, I have finally caught up but I must admit to being a bit hazy on some of the details so please forgive me if I have missed something or miss remembered something

@[Deleted User], welcome aboard. This is a lovely place to get support and ideas to help you on your journey, everyone is really kind and understanding, Mrs SD is a wonder with her cheerleading
@florianatwobob I love the shelving unit
@Vulpix well done on the weight loss
. Have you sorted out your B12jabs yet?
@Muddy_Walker hugs, hang in there it will get better x
Well yesterday I got 4 loads of washing done, line dried and folded and put away apart from 3 items which I want to iron. Today I have got another 3 loads done but they are still on the line as the first load was left in the machine for ages as OH wanted to sort it but didn't and eventually I got fed up waiting and hung it out. OH thinks I am obsessed with getting stuff on the line but I just hate to waste good drying weather
. I also binned a pair of sunday knicks after using them to wipe down the patio table, this is progress for me as usually they would have been rewashed and put into the rag bag
Hugs to everyone who would like one
688 - 691 4 loads of washing sorted
692 Sunday knicks binned
Take care everyone

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Comparison with last years thread & we have reached 1st November 🤩 The EDT is really motoring along 😉 My Sunday was a very lazy one 😉 I phoned FD & paid my CC bill + checked on my accounts then updated my paper accounts. The only other thing I did was make dinner - thinly sliced beef in gravy with mash, spinach & baby broccoli 😋 Wudupa. DH was busier 😉 He mowed the front lawn, trimmed the hedge & put the grass & clippings in the compost bins. He also packed the bike for an overnight trip. He is setting off before 8:00 a.m. Monday to do Round Britain Rally & will be back Tuesday evening. I have napped on the sofa & will be waking DH in about 30 minutes to say goodbye & then I will go to bed 😉
1213 - 1214 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
1215 Kitchen detritus binned
Lovely post Moorviews 😊 Great idea to do something enjoyable in the garden rather than decluttering the shed 👏
Nice to see you kboss2010 👋 Excellent decluttering 👏 I am especially impressed by your ‘gentle’ & successful persuasion of OH to tackle decluttering his old clothes 👏 One medal 🏅 coming your way.
Florenceem, lovely post 😊 A great encouragement to “nervous declutterers” 👏
EnergyShifter, well done on managing to skim read posts - the EDT is still moving so fast that I am surprised anyone can keep up 😉 Saturday sounds lovely 😊 & great decluttering over the weekend 👏Hopefully you have a few weeks at least to source the gold costume jewellery🤞so Good luck for a successful outcome to your bargain hunting 🍀
Off to wake DH so will post & come back when I get out of bed 😉

Morning all. Stayed off the computer a bit as I did a lot of family history stuff and managed to clutter a headache. Doing less this week as not quite gone. Sorted paddling pool on new mats outside but investigations showed leak in top blow up part and slow leak in main pool. Children had a good time in it but we decided to get a bigger one with no blow up bits. Need more mats to go under it but shops closed (Sunday) when we realised so have to go back to get them today.
682 Bag of plastic to recycling
683 General tat to tip
684 Garden waste to tip

I was feverish in the night and my bed covers looked like I had been wrestling with a Boa Constrictor.
Didn't get up until 7am - had breakfast and taken Paracetamol for Covid & Neurofen for back pain.
I have an important form to fill in for Mr F and get in the post but think will leave it until tomorrow. If I manage to fill it in today - I will ask DGS J to come round and post it - bribe him with sweets - not necessary but I have a stash to get through.
So far today - I don't feel any better - still have a cough, sore throat and ache + headache. I am not a good patient - I don't do ill - no time for it.

Good morning everyone.
Today is putting the house back together day as rooms had to be emptied for the painter. Not everything will get put back.
Already sold 2 items on gumtree - being picked up at 4pm today.
Emails deleted, now down to a manageable 19.
Setting aside some books that can be sold as well. Other books can go to CS.
It's a start.19 -
The Great Kitchen Declutter & Packing Strategy.
Glass: 11 items
Broken down & Recycled: 31 items
Binned: 8
Decanted: 4
Frogs tackled: 3 🐸🐸🐸
Total: 57 items.
So, I set out on Thursday to put away what was in the dishwasher, and very rapidly things spiralled out of control, and I ended up decluttering the entire kitchen. I went to bed at 1am. I initially said I wasn't going to count 'rubbish' but as it was all in my cupboards and not normal rubbish, I am absolutely going to count it! I am so proud of myself.
🐸 was the great declutter
🐸 was boxing up two boxes of items for the new house - they are lesser used cookware etc - I have written LOW PRIORITY on the boxes, so maybe when I get to the other end and have my new kitchen, I will donate the contents.
🐸 was cleaning out the fridge - it hasn't been done in months and was in danger of becoming a hazard. There was all sorts of gunk lurking in the corners. Took everything out, cleaned everything and put it back in and now it smells a zillion times better. The only real shame is there is not much food to put back in there!
Items I binned included the broken kenwood blender base - I don't know why I was keeping this. Replacement part is on my watchlist on eBay, for a grand total of £15. A pair of children's headphones that don't work. A dish sponge holder that attached to the sink - I have a scrub daddy on a holder (it's shaped like a flower and makes me happy 🌸) so this wasn't needed - BUT as the attached bits were unsalvageably gunky, it went in the bin. Felt tip pens that were smushed in at the ends. No idea why I had four of them in a drawer.
Over the weekend I started prepping the house for a last minute gazumping viewing on Thursday... naughty I know. But I am also awarding myself 1 extra point for deep cleaning my daughters room including under the bed, 1 extra point for reaching the bottom of all four laundry baskets, counting one more 🐸 as I spent four hours strimming half an acre of jungly garden, and then going over it with a mower, and one last 🐸 as I finally listed my wedding dress for sale. 2 points for parcels packed and sent for Vinted.
I am also, after some internal deliberation going to award myself 10 points for decluttering a rather irritating nicotine habit.
And LASTLY, because I have been terribly busy this weekend and am really getting into the swing of things - I sold an absolutely HUGE outdoor sofa set that was lurking in pieces in my garden and shed. 7 bits of furniture & 6 cushions gone - this was both an enormous task to get together, so will be a 🐸, but also I will give myself 5 points for this.
So 10 little froggies went hop hop hop 🐸 🐸 🐸 🐸 🐸 🐸 🐸 🐸 🐸 🐸 /?????
And 139/365 items have left my home

It's been over a week since I posted last. Thursday and Friday (free days in Belgium) were spent at my Mum's, helping her make a list of admin jobs she needs to take care of after my Dad's passing. She wants to do it all by herself, as she is the one who needs to know how it all works and how to access everything.Saturday she stopped his rail card and museum pass, today she will visit the 2 banks they have accounts with. She has the whole week planned out with 1 or 2 tasks per day.I went through my Dad's tablet, unsubscribing from newsletters, removing apps (after checking if they had log-in details and/or subscription payments and/or any money left on them). The main passwords I found I have written down and then deleted from the emails, because my sister is visiting this Sunday and she should not have this knowledge; it's not safe.Sister is very upset that I was named executor of my parents' wills and is known to be both cunning and petty. For instance: she hid the pair of trousers I bought for my Dad's funeral service and then placed them back in my suitcase after the service; I had checked my suitcase 3 times, they really weren't in there before the service. Second example: we took a family picture after the restaurant meal after the service: our Mum, sister and her family, me and my family; sister sent me the picture on whatsapp with the message 'I'll enlarge this one and give it to Mum', I quickly checked if everyone was smiling and had their eyes open, and replied 'thanks, it turned out really nice'. But when I looked properly a few days later, I noticed that she had photoshopped quite a bit of extra weight on me! It was rather well-done, too! (Don't worry about me, I've known her shenanigans for about 45 years now, her pettiness just makes me giggle.)Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5919

I have reached the bottom of the wardrobe in the office - a 1970s chair bed was by it - that is going. Will make the effort to get dressed and take stuff out to the bin plus neighbour's bin when then street is empty as I am infectious.
I think I will feel better if I hoover one area of the office - at least then I will be able to imagine the rest of the carpet.
I am doing a bit and resting in between.
Found a box of top quality envelopes - hardly used - lost their gumminess but will be fine with a glue stick or sellotape - putting them on Freegle. More Bibilical wisdom -

@Florenceem a simple exercise for back pain: lay flat on your back, put your feet firmly on the ground, lift your hips slowly (as in: take about 10 seconds) until you form a straight line between your knees and your shoulders, hold a few seconds, lower slowly in 10 seconds. Keep breathing, repeat as often as you are comfortable with. I'm not medically trained, I just have regular back pains, so: check with your GP or physiotherapist if this is okay for you to do.Also: before you do any lifting or moving of MrF, insist the hospital staff teach you how-to!Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5920
