Aarrghh, (not sure how you spell) cannot move for everyone's things. DD1 things spread around house, for time I said one car load could be left downstairs and went back to her flat - she has promised to move!
Wondering if posting will help motivate although know I need to focus on my things in next few weeks when I have a little time as work hectic.
DD1 has a flat and will move in late June (she's away for 3 weeks with b/f) which coincides with end of A'levels for DD2. Frustrating but while looking for insurance stuff from 18 months ago realise how she's improved in mh and independence , she's waiting for minor surgery and had to defer assignments but did her online exam (and sorted out her medical note etc). Off to my sewing lesson and leaving note for DDs to do washing up and clear hall of stuff.
Found the phone no for insurance company for DD1 so checking out if it still exists!
As I bought a light modern (new to me) sewing machine debating passing on my dad's (1980s so very solid but can't buy some parts, the light has gone and threads right to left which I find harder) if anyone will take.
And able to delete all letting agent emails and unsubscribe!!
Somehow have to ignore the chaos and just focus on small thing to deal with, little by little.
Take care all, and be gentle with yourselves.

Saturday is a lovely sunny day & I was up & dressed by 10:30 🙂 DH is out in the garden dismantling one of the 2 pallets that have been sitting on the patio for at least 3 years 😱 The other one is being kept for a project - creating some sort of stand for the umbrella to be fastened to rather than drilling into the patio itself 🙂 I will be joining DH once I have drunk my tea.
2Scratters, good idea for TC77 - I had forgotten that most people deal with their banking online - I am a Luddite & deal over the phone + receive paper statements 😉 Excellent work decluttering & sorting the contents of your parents house & flat 👏 Sounds like you have this well under control & are not only being selective with what you keep but utilising the best inherited traits from both your parents 😊 One medal 🏅 coming your way.
EnergyShifter, no worries about not keeping up with the reading - the EDT is still moving so fast that it is hard to keep up 😉 Another 2 pages of posts & we will be at the same point as 31st October 2022 😥Excellent news that your CBT is going so well 😊 Great decluttering & well done on persevering with the insurance query 👏
Tea drunk so will post this & join DH in the garden 🙂

Hi all, arrived home last night about 9, by the time I had unloaded the car etc I was pretty tired and just sat on the couch with a cuppa. I did sort out the washing. I brought OHs washing with me. OH is coming back late today, I came home a day early as I have the footy today, last home game and I just couldn't miss it
. So far I have 4 loads sorted, 2 are on the line already, 1 is swishing and 1 is waiting
.The holiday was nice but a bit stressful. We met up with OHs family including nephew who lives in Germany plus nephew's German in-laws. There were 11 of them staying in a large house near the caravan park where we were. We spent most of our time with them as OH, naturally wanted to see the kids but I did feel like our time wasn't really our own iyswim. Never the less we did get a couple of days on the beach and I managed a short walk along the coastal path, only 1 argument that I witnessed and made a hasty retreat from, not my circus
Before I left I did a small amount so the house was tidy when I got backkitchen bin and recycling emptied and lr bin and recycling emptied. Right off to get the next load of washing on to the line and the last load into the machine before I head of to the footy
I am sorry I wasn't able to do more than skim read the last week's posts but I will catch up, hugs to anybody who would like one
684 kitchen bin emptied
685 kitchen recycling emptied
686 lr bin emptied
687 lr recycling emptied
Take care everyone

Now that is luxury - sitting eating a bowl of Ald. creamy vanilla ice cream for my poorly throat - DD has just delivered it - she stood right back from the porch!

Florenceem said:I rang my SA officer to ask for a test - went round and stayed outside - he threw tests out to me - saying unclean - so funny!
Went to bed at 6.30 - no dinner and got up after 12 hours - been in the office and cleared a shelf this morning - I can't do nothing - that is not me.
And yes - I can't do nothing either. I had to cancel plans for today (art class to which I was really looking forward) due to dodgy seafood last night. But I'm doing things today and just ensuring I stop frequently to rest up for the next task.
And the next task is to tidy up with Artful Dodger and the crew left on our garden furniture. If they want to fertilise the garden that's fine but the brand new furniture doesn't deserve this!!!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Lots of email decluttering whilst I've been awake most the night playing nurse to DS and DD. Feel awful now though. I've sorted out the whole of my trash folder and now everything that goes into there is permanently deleted within 30 days. One less thing to worry about. No tidying today until things are back to more normal - just resting whilst DD is napping and DH is on dinner duty until further notice.Digital:13,807-14,429 - emails permanently deleted

DH dismantled the pallet & chopped it up - filled 2 garden bags which were transferred to Tip bags & loaded onto bike. We moved all the garden furniture etc to either the part of the patio already done or into the shed/behind the shed. Swept then vacuumed the other 2/3rds of the patio & whilst DH was at the Tip I used buckets of bleach water to scrub the patio & dislodge the algae. Very hard work which I am not used to so I am exhausted 😩. Pic 1 is before & Pic 2 is after. DH back now & cooking himself a stir fry. After his lunch DH will jet wash the patio & we will leave it to dry before hopefully using the concrete powder tomorrow 🤞 Of course we found two more tasks to add to the list - we need to fix the top of the fence Pic 3 & creosote the fence as well 😔 + empty the garden box & see if we can bin anything - I am almost positive that it is full of tat or should that be Justins & Mays 😂

QueenJess, sorry to hear that DD’s recovery was so short lived & that you have caught the lurgy from DS 😔 Don’t forget to ‘ring the bell’ before leaving the house 😂 Excellent work juggling work, nursing care, decluttering & tidying 👏 Loving how well you have kept track of your decluttering 🙂 and 🤩 to how much you have got rid of since 1st January 2022 🤩
Soontobeoap, shame about leaving your phone at DD’s 😔 but I am wondering if it meant you had more time to declutter 🤔 Excellent garden decluttering & well done on using home grown compost 👏 saves so much money 🥳 Really looking forward to seeing the pics when ‘Operation Garden Tidy’ is complete 😊
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏
Florenceem, so sorry to hear that you have Covid 😔 Not what you need 😔 Please, please, please try to rest & recover 🙏 Putting my ‘mummy hat’ on - you should under no circumstances try to work through it 🙏
Moorviews, I will bet a pound to a penny that you have been doing daily decluttering & tidying 😉Thanks for the complete re the patio - a work in progress but I am looking forward to posting pictures when it is completely done 🙂
Thanks for the info Floss 😊
Blue_Doggy, insert ‘wagging finger emoji’ - NOT ‘pitiful declutteration’ at all 👏 Well done on using your time & the nice weather in such a productive way 👏 Meeting friends restores the soul 😊
Breaking off here as I have caught up a little & DH has finished chatting to his sister on the phone 😉
