Well done florenceem.
Sorry for not posting or keeping up to date.
Been struggling with de cluttering.
On the plus side, when I was on a roll and just generally chatting to a friend who is bit of a hoarder about de cluttering, has managed to help my friend to start de cluttering and letting go of stuff.Decluttering campaign 2023

I am struggling today - in pain with my back but I need to do something in the office. There is so much in there to be shredded - stuff going back to the 1990s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed with it all.
Today is my first day at home for 6 weeks - I am not going to the service at SA tonight.
Had a large amount of post today - all to do with Mr F's debts - not surprised he had a mental breakdown - the office is a tip.
I spoke to him earlier - he was fretting that the physios were pushing him to go home. No way can he come home the way he is - of course I want him home but he has to be safe. The bathroom is upstairs - he can't even walk well with a zimmer let alone climb stairs.
I will speak to one of the Sisters on the ward when I visit tomorrow. I understand that Mr F is taking up a bed that he doesn't need for a physical problem but he needs intensive physio to get him mobile.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

You are doing so well @florenceem. 👏
So today has been a mix of things that have been done. I have decided that the cupboard under the stairs is going to have a sole use as food pantry. Our kitchen is too hot in spring/summer to store food in cupboards and the understair cupboard has been being used as a dumping ground for everything. So I have gutted it out and organised it with just the food. I have done a quick online delivery from sainsbobs tomorrow for anything that needs topping up. Managed a little bit of time in the garden and have added some topsoil to my planter, need to get some more tomorrow. So I am adding on 2 🐸 to the completed list: 1 for finally realising that the understairs cupboard needs a sole use and sorting it out and the 2nd for repainting and moving the planter. Took a photo half way through.2024 decluttering Campaign

Now finished in 'forget me not ' (had some left-over from last years projects!) Have also filled another large box worth of clothes that i am going to take to the cs tomorrow and have a tip run booked for the morning. Wish there was greater visual progress but small inroads are being made.2024 decluttering Campaign

Afternoon all.
Thank you Mrs SD, old dog had had another stroke, he's on some circulation tablets now to help blood flow.
Florenceem, that is an amazing amount! You deserve a rest day. Put your feet up and enjoy that garden for an hour or 2. You won't get anywhere if you cause your back more damage x
Didn't seem to manage much at all Tuesday and Wednesday, we havedone a lot of walking though. Tuesday should have been the kitchen if I'd stuck to my list so today I've spent an hour in there, in15mins slots, I'm pretty ashamed to say all I've managed is scrubbing the worktops and the 6 lower cupboard doors. They were horrible where the dogs lay against them. Yesterday should have been living room so still got that to catch up on and today is hall, stairs, landing and bathroom.
Did half hour in the hallway, All coats are now in front of the washer and I've spotted a few that wont be going back after washing. Scrubbed the door and frame, must remember not to buy a 'decorative' door next time, all the fancy bits are just ledges for dust.
The only thing that has actually left is a dress sold on vintd.

Neutral items 12 items sent to a small fundraising group for a raffle/auction. Some of the items were quite big, chunky items that the charity I usually send to would struggle with, but for this one they are ideal.
155+ 12= 167 items sent so far.
Im hoping to meet another organiser half term as I have a lot of small specific bits and pieces that may be of use to them.
General decluttering, not had much chance and still catching up on the pages.*157 candle of DD used up and into recycling

Welcome @[Deleted User] - start small - a drawer while you drink a cup of tea or go round the house and round up 10 things to put away - I never fail to find 10 things just sitting around.
676 DGD4's bedroom cleaned and sorted, beds changed. She is currently moaning as I asked her to tidy and sort boxes on her desk.
677 Random tat from bedroom above binned.

Tales of Fagin Fox reminded me of Chester Cat - he came to live with us (From DDs) after several extended holiday breaks. She was living in a flat and he liked my rural bungalow better. He used to come home with things including on one occasion a pre-packaged sandwich - still in date - we wondered about the reactions to the disappearing sandwich wherever it came from - they may be still arguing about who pinched it.2025 Decluttering Campaign 697/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

I am slowly collecting a bunch og things to go to the CS and a bunch of things to go to the tip...Just came on to say Florence, it doesn't have to be all done at once, have a break, have a walk in a park, a cup of tea out, do something for yourself..It's been six weeks odd of slog and worry, it may be more, so do something nice for you.
