Ah, my mum said she knew her mum was getting better when she started complaining about the nurses lol. When she first went in she was saying they were all angels, wonderful, can't do enough etc. Once she was feeling better she started noticing a but more and was saying that one chats too much, the food isn't great, etc etc. No reflection on the nurses, but that was when mum thought she was beginning to get better and itching to get home (even though she wasn't quite well enough at that stage)
Fingers crossed that's same for mr f.
Previous suggestions for mr f sound brilliant BTW, hopefully he will respond in his own time. Hope your back improves

Finally managed to clear one desk in Mr F's office. Needs more than a lick and a polish though.
Off out to a meeting at SA soon.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sorry I have taken so long to return but after DH finished dealing with the top-box, he decided to do some work in the garden 😉 Rather than leaving him to work alone I joined him. We spent almost 3.5 hours outside in the sunshine & got a decent amount of work done 👏 First DH cleared out all the wood & hand built cages from behind the large raised bed to create room to work & put up a trellis on the wall. We found treasure 🥳 - a large slab of concrete (pic 1) which has been left where it is but earmarked for a project (pic 2) 😊; usable timber which can now be accessed (pic 3); more timber which has been sawed into small pieces for use in the chiminea. Also have 2 x 75 litre black bin bags half full of rubbish timber/chipboard etc for the Tip. Whilst DH marked up the location of the trellis, I weeded the area behind the shed & raised bed. We then put up the trellis (pic 4). Whilst DH tackled the 2nd compost bin - moving half the contents to the empty compost bin & turning over the rest of the compost, I dismantled the netting contraption that we made a couple of years ago (which had proved worse than useless 😔). It took ages as we had used about 40 short lengths of garden wire to fix the netting 😥 Netting & wire binned & the 3 half hoops put away in shed. Now, try not to be too shocked but I have finally planted some seeds - see pic 5. Leeks, onions, tomatoes & two types of radishes - globe & French breakfast. I used our own home made compost - sifted & had plenty lo to fill the last empty potato bag & transfer 2 potato plants from the large raised bed. We tidied up after ourselves putting tools etc in their proper places & also watered. A very satisfying afternoon 👏 The post did get dealt with 😉 DH is making dinner 🥳

uh oh! I have realised I definetly have a room of doom

Needed to find paperwork for DS1 whos applying for uni finance and extra financial support for his learning issues. Had a large panic, couldnt find them at all. Knew I wouldn't have thrown the reports as DH was suggested. The dyslexic one was done 12 years ago!!! (but I should still stand as was a proper assessment.) Anyway found both reports in the room of doom, but have not tidied!!! lol, just made a mental note that I really do need to do it!!!!Also have got DS2s ready for when he needs it, this one I could lay my hands on immediatly
I can relax now!!!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Brie, I think 5 years is probably long enough to hang onto the hanging planter 😉 Well done on finding a good home for it 👏
Well done on finding bags for your shredding Florenceem 👏 Also great work getting your old mobile to factory settings & getting a sim only deal for MrF 👏 Sorry to hear that MrF was miserable yesterday & that you became exhausted trying to cheer him up 😔 However, now he has the phone hopefully he will contact his friends when he is feeling a bit more upbeat 🤞I do like your idea of a “bonus” for J 😊
Great decluttering of CS bags Deni_debt-free_dreamer 👏 Such a shame about losing your favourite sunglasses, although I imagine someone was happy at their find 😉
Muddy_Walker, hopefully now you have got the first day at work out of the way, the rest of the week will be easier 🤞Please, please take your time getting back into the swing of things 🙏 & please do Not be so hard on yourself ‘wagging finger emoji’
Lovely post daisy_1571 😊 I do love the Yorkshire Moors so I hope you have a great time decluttering the stresses & strains of everyday life 😉
Fizz2015, good ‘work’ surviving the office 😉 Sounds like a very productive day 👏
So lovely to see you back StickyTheStickInsect 👋 Although I am very sorry to hear that Long Covid & ME are making RL such a struggle 😔 However you have still managed to do lots of decluttering 👏And not only are you on track with 19.5 bags (out of 52 bags target) but doing so well has earned you a belated Gold Star ⭐️ 🥳 (would usually be awarded at 13 bags 😉 which you reached at the end of March 👏) Good luck with the garden raised bed build 🍀 I hope you didn’t have to remortgage your house to afford the new sleepers 🤞😬 Apparently our large raised bed would cost about £750 if we wanted to build it now 😱 Good luck to your children re their exams 🍀
You were very busy yesterday charlies_tribe - well done on getting so much done 👏 Sorry to hear that your dog is at the vets - fingers crossed that he is OK & will soon be home 🤞
QueenJess, sorry to hear that DD is ill 😔 Hope she recovers quickly 🙏
I fell asleep mid sentence so am posting this & going to bed.

Last night's meeting went on until 9 pm - past my bedtime. I came home and soon went to bed.
Up at 5.45 today - just having breakfast.
Told my friend at SA last night that I didn't think I would be able to work there as usual on lunch club day because of my back. Now I have had an email that my fridge freezer is coming around lunch time.
I hope that I can at least do something in the office today. I do need to make a Birthday card and go out to post it plus get some more strong painkillers. While in town I can pay the council tax bill in the post office now they have cancelled Mr F's DD.14 -
Forgot to update the totals last time: Am on 55/365 + 3 🐸
Came home yesterday and it was very nice to not be confronted by a pile of ironing. Unfortunately having decluttered all my money, I wasn't entirely sure what to do with myself. Made dinner with very close/slightly past best before food, had a dig around for something to get rid of.
Found a very old Nintendo DS & charger with Spyro. So counting that as 1. It will go to CeX today, and hopefully raise a couple of ££. Probably precisely £2 actually. Listed some things on Vinted too.
Browsed some forums for some inspiration and thought I would share my favourite with you. I come back to it again and again.
"Having the items in your house does not save them from landfill. It just means your house is the landfill. Nobody wants to live in landfill. So please do not feel guilt for letting them go, and if you cannot find an appropriate place to donate, it is okay to just throw them."
I like to be as eco-concious as possible, but in some instances, this just isn't possible, and prevents me from moving forward in my own decluttering journey because I get so panicked about where it will end up. The truth is that everything except recyclable items are destined to end up in the bin at the end of their lifespan. I would absolutely rather someone else got to enjoy the item before it 'died' rather than leave it in the corners of my house to be ignored.
Also decluttered another 🐸 in the form of the weekly food shop / meal plan. Sat down with husband and worked everything out, and it's not great, but at least we know where we stand now. It's roughly £110 a week for 4 of us (3 adults), 2 dogs, and a hamster.
Had enough then - went on a walk up the mountain with the dog to declutter some cobwebs. Got some gorgeous photos of him amongst the bluebells.
While I was writing this, four of the things I listed on Vinted have sold. £5.80 up. I sell things as cheap as possible to get them gone, but also give them another chance at life.
New totals:
63/365 items decluttered & 4/?? 🐸 checked off.❀ debt at highest point: £51,062.14 ❀❁ currently - £32,019.56 ❁ emergency fund - £252.66/£500 ❁----------------------------------------------------------------------
