Condolences siebrie, a comfort in so many ways that he was clear up to the end and glad you and your sister managed your time together well. As most of us have agreed over stuff like this its just really not worth it sometimes, is it, but that can be hard to put into practice.
Sorry to hear mr f was down today. A hospital stay id a very up and down journey and it might be he felt better at other parts of the day however it was a shame you got the harder visit trying to cheer and gee him along.
I'm away on holiday, in Yorkshire moors - lovely holiday cottage so no decluttering at all for me for next few days however I will be reading along. Very tired tonight so apologies for not responding to other posts

@Muddy_Walker thanks for the tip. The Dragon's back looks a good walk. I believe the carparks are NT and I'm a member. Just need to locate my card.
@Siebrie condolences to your family.
I survived the office today. Helped a colleague with a tricky report. So much easier in person and got a couple things off my list.
Also ran some errands and returned clothes I didn't need. OH ended up with new sunglasses and jeans (luckily both in sale and got discount).

I've been missing in action for over 300 pages of decluttering and I just can't catch up that many pages, so I hope that everyone is doing okay and hugs to those that need them. @Siebrie I saw your sad news, I hope that you are taking time to look after yourself.
RL has very much got in the way, the combination of ME and Long Covid has proved to be an even more rubbish combination than it first appeared. I'm managing to keep the children in clean laundry and at school at the right time but not managing much else. They think it's great as they've had lots of freezer dinner's and apparently my 5 year old feels that I diet of chicken nuggets and pasta is superior to anything he's had in the past!!! I've had to start trying to cook from scratch again though as we can't afford for the older two to have school dinners anymore and they need to have at least one decent meal a day. It's exam season too, so I'm working which is making things even tougher but hopefully we'll get there.I don’t think I’ve reported any decluttering numbers this year but we have tried to keep plodding along with getting rid of things.
January – One bag of shoe recycling, a bag of miscellaneous stuff to the tip and two children’s coats, a pair of trainers and 5 sets of children’s cutlery (1 bag) on our local freebies site.
February – Some dinosaur slippers, nappy cream and moisturisers, ice cube trays and cold packs and some buggy bag clips on our local freebies site, I’ll count that as one bag.
March – Two bags of shoe recycling and one bag of fabric recycling and a bag of games to the local hospice shop. On the freebies site, puzzles, fancy dress, card games, four colouring books and a story tin (1 bag). A Peppa Pig clear out of puzzles, books, card games and some toys (1 bag). Games and ten That’s not my books (1 bag). A laptop bag, some kids character rucksacks and handbags, some swim stuff and some more moisturiser (2 bags).
I did a table top sale which was a bit disappointing but managed to get rid of two bags of assorted stuff. The bits that didn’t sell went to the RSPCA shop (4.5 bags).
May – Dinosaur track and dinosaurs and a football game on the freebies site (2 bags).
So a total of 19.5 bags, which feels okay. We are re-doing the sleepers in our back garden as they are rotten and have a skip, so I’m hoping that things will make their way into it over the next couple of weeks.
Things will slow down a bit until the exams are over but hoping to go through the children’s clothes which should give me quite a bit to get rid off.
Love to everyone xxx

Evening all
Sending condolences @Siebrie.
Hugs to all who need them (I had a list of replies and I've lost it)
Yesterday DH cut our front garden and then went and did his sisters so our garden waste bin is now full for tomorrow.
Today I made DH and dd2 help with half hour cleaning in the bathroom. Recycling out, rubbish out, windows cleaned, wet walls washed down... just the shelves and floor to do. Then I cleaned out the rabbit (well started too) while DH started on the back garden but he only managed 10 minutes before he was in agony (could do with MrsF GDS). I was still sat on the floor in front of the rabbit hutch when the eldest dog came out and slumped onto my back having another seizure. Phoned vets and sat with him for a good hour. Then did half hour in our bedroom while DH took DS2 to his swimming lesson. 6 jumpers out of my drawers to charity bag and 4 pairs of boxers from DHs to bin. Then I came down and cleared a bit of the table by filling the recycling bin for tomorrow. I've not had such a busy day in a while 😂
Dd1 and DGD are coming tomorrow morning and the dog is at the vets I'm the afternoon so won't be as productive tomorrow.

@Siebrie - hugs to you. Take care of yourself.
Up early this morning, did two loads of laundry. Third one in now. Made two different doctor's appointments (including the one for the cataract doctor). Paid bills. Took G to the place to get a brace for his ankle, to the grocery store, and then to get an ultrasound. Turns out he wasn't booked at the last until an hour later so took him home, helped put away the groceries, and took him back. Manage to almost finish another book while waiting.
Today has been a strange day with the computer. Trying to turn in homework for my Publisher caused the computer to freeze up twice. Every once in awhile everything seems to go on hold. So everything is taking longer than usual. The librarian sent an email to say she had booked a special event without looking at the calendar first at the library, where they will be closed to the public on our June book sale day. We may be having it on Saturday instead. Going to have to do a lot of publicity for it. We were hoping to do a sale or two on Saturdays anyway.
Di went to find the Unemployment Office. Asked her three times to look it up and see where she was going. No - she knew. Turns out they had moved. So she kept calling here to let me know she was still trying to get there. Three times she called while I was on the line with someone else. Not good at changing calls. Had to keep calling people back.
Today is our trash day. Bins full to the top again.
Hugs to those who need them.

Hugs @Siebrie I am sad for your loss and glad all things went smoothly for the funeral.
Popping by to report DD left hospital on Friday and is having a follow up consultation later today (Tuesday) She had a scan which shows things aren't as bad as they could have been but was very poorly still.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DH & I finished the last of the hm soup. As the sun had come out DH decided to use the new electric garden tool to start clearing moss & weeds from our front path. DH did just over half & I finished it off 🙂 Looks so much better - below is the after photo - I forgot to take the before photo 😔 DSis & I watched the remaining episodes of Call The Midwife but the last episode was missing 😔
Dinner was salmon, boiled baby potatoes & sweetcorn. Wudupa.

Thanks Dfw38 🙂 Well done on going for your first run & fingers crossed that you are selected for next years Marathon 🤞Beautiful crafting 👏 Sorry to hear that elder DD is playing silly beggars 😔 Excellent work dealing with 3 MMiM 👏
-taff, I might try that suggestion especially for the weekly magazines 🤔 I quite agree that getting the clutter out of the house completely is the end goal but it is quite nice to bag stuff up ready to go 😉 You rebel - thinking about digging up plants from verges 😂
weenancy, thanks for suggestions re getting rid of ants & silverfish indoors 👏 Excellent work decluttering emails 👏 & brilliant work almost completing your family history 🥳
Florenceem more excellent decluttering of bags for life from the garage 👏 Hope you got everything done that you wanted to on Monday 🤞

Up and ready to attack the decluttering. I was shredding in the office last night - the shredder overheated so I concentrated on looking at what paperwork needs to go - found some - 1994.
Plan to clear/clean the bottom shelf in the office this morning - then I can clear the desk up onto the shelf and polish it.
Next job is to move stuff so that I can get to the wardrobe at the other side of the room. Then it is on the steps to see what is on the top shelf.
I won't attend events at SA during the day as I am visiting Mr F and have a meeting in the evening.
