@siebrie - so sorry for your loss - glad it was peaceful in the end.
Lots of sitting down in between odd jobs this morning. Lovely weather but I have no washing to hang out - typical

Sorry for your loss Siebrie.
I took two donation bags last week to the nearby chazzer.
I am going to ask my brother's girlfriend if she wants a top that doesn't fit me as she is staying this weekend as we have a comedy night to go to. There were two blue blouses exactly the same and I absentmindedly picked up the size 12 rather than the 14 and I have thrown away the receipt. If she doesn't want it or it doesn't fit her it can go in a donation bag.
I am about to walk around the rest of my house and look around every room for things to leave. I couldn't find anything in my bedroom to go, but I am taking the wastepaper bin in the bathroom to empty and getting rid of a used up shaving foam can. The office that I'm in now has a wooden cat ornament that I don't really want and 5 hardback books. That will fill a whole bag actually!
I'm off to look downstairs.:)

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday stayed sunny & warmer than of late. I did nothing apart from write a shopping list for DH & then put everything away when he returned from the sm. The rest of the day was spent watching various programmes from the TV planner including the first 3 episodes of Call The Midwife. The 3 of us made our own dinner - DSis had ravioli, DH finished off the Chinese & I had a small hm cottage pie. Wudupa.
1162 - 1168 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, plastic bottle, 4 plastic takeaway containers & lids - recycled
1169 - 1170 Kitchen & lr detritus - binned
Monday is overcast but the sun is managing to peep through occasionally 🙂 DH has gone for a ride on the motorbike - ostensibly to pick up some red onions & post a letter but really just because he wanted to go out 😔
Another great session in the garden roundtuit 👏 I did a quick search about ants & am now itching all over 😬 From what I read I am surprised that ants haven’t taken over the world - estimates range from 12,000 to 15,000 species of ants with 2.5 million ants per person 😱
Muddy_Walker, sorry to hear you are stressed about going to work 😔 Fingers crossed that it not as bad as you fear 🤞 You had a very busy Sunday 👏
Lovely post vulpix 😊 Hope the funeral goes as well as these things can.
Florenceem, your DGS J is a talented young man 👏 who has worked really hard clearing your garden 👏 It looks so much bigger now 👏 Hopefully you will have no issues getting lifts to the hospital to see MrF 🤞 10 bags of shredding 😥
~FlowerPot~, ant bites are nasty & hurt quite a bit 😣 You & DH had a busy Sunday 🙂 Nothing wrong with getting a gardener ~FlowerPot~ so no need to fell guilty especially as it is a treat from your mum 😊 The original gardener you interviewed sounds like she would not have been particularly reliable as well as being expensive 😔 Hopefully with a gardener doing the heavy lifting & getting the garden back to its full glory you will be able to keep up with the daily tasks of deadheading, weeding & watering & enjoying the garden rather than stressing about it 🤞😊 Sometimes gardening jobs just seem too big 😔
Very droll daisy_1571 🙃 I was rather amused or should that be ‘bemused’ about your idea of finding something else to do if you fall down 🤨 However it does make a weird kind of sense 😉 Like you I do prefer the weirder acts - they seem to have way more fun 🤩 My favourite winner of recent years was Lordi 👏 However my absolute favourite part of Eurovision is the voting 🥳
Hopefully you will heal quickly Floss 🤞
Florenceem, so pleased for you that you found someone who will give your sewing machine a good home 😊 I agree with ~FlowerPot~ how refreshing 👏
Lovely post ~FlowerPot~ 😊
Florenceem, what a lovely lady 😊
GrannyKate, fingers crossed that, if you are called in for another blood test, the results are favourable 🤞A very busy Sunday - excellent decluttering & dealing with gardening tasks 👏 Apparently cayenne & black pepper are supposed to be good for keeping ants at bay 🤞 You have a busy week ahead 😬
Fizz2015, sounds like a busy but enjoyable weekend 😊 So sorry to hear about your sister & stepdad 😔 What a great idea to list daily achievements 👏 one medal 🏅 coming your way 🙂
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 Another great idea which also deserves a medal 🏅- at this rate you will have quite a few empty drawers 😉
Dfw38, ok, as it is heavy, we will set you a challenge of wearing your Marathon medal for 26 minutes every day as a celebration of running 26 miles 😉 I rather like your descriptive turn of phrase “Feels like I am shovelling snow against a blizzard at the moment though 😔” “Did another tip run today (they'll be getting a restraining order against me soon at this rate 🤣)” & pleased to hear that you are making so much progress 👏 Food for thought for all of us - we could pretend we are moving & use your 3 questions as an aid to decluttering 🤔 “So, I am going to declutter with this is mind: Do I really want to move this stuff? Is it going to be used in the next 2 years? Would I use it in my my next house? Hopefully this will help with decision making”
I am losing concentration, so will post this & be back later.

@Siebrie
sorry for your loss. what you've said makes it sound like he had a good end (if any end can be described as good)
Meanwhile I've finally got rid of a hanging planter. It's been put out to the curb too many times over the last 5 years and I spotted it on the wall at the front of the house being ignored for a week by any passerby so nabbed it and took it to my art class. The teacher is an avid gardener and was very pleased to have something else to plant up and water.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Siebrie - Condolences on your loss.
Made it to SA before the rain this morning - well stocked up now with bags for paper shredding.
I managed to get my old phone back to factory settings - took it to Mr T - got a sim only deal for Mr F. I remembered to take empty crisp bags for their recycling bin.
Had a lift to the hospital - Oh! Mr F was miserable today - I thought he would be pleased with the phone and I encouraged him to phone some friends but he doesn't want to - says he will make a fool of himself. He is struggling to do Sudoku which he normally enjoys. He was just very down. I came away exhausted after trying to cheer him up.
DD brought me home - J was in the car - Nannie had a chocolate bar in her bag for him.
My 2 arranged Freeglers collected.

Hi everyone
condolences @Siebrie.
I have been in work today but left in time to drop off 2 bags at the CS.
I also bought some new sunglasses as I lost my fave pair - I think I left them in a CS changing room but it had shut by the time I realised and when I phoned up the next day they couldn't find them.
