Floss, hope you're not in too much pain, you can have the VAT taken off the purchase price if it's mastectomy bras you're getting...To be honest though, it's what suits really. I found that some sturdy sports bras were better than a real bra because of what surgery I had and where the scar is. And there was one recommended by one of the breast cancer sites which has adjustable everything, straps, width etc, but they were about thirty quid.
Thanks -taff, Asda & M&S take the VAT off for you when you buy online. I've still got dressings on so can't work out what is comfiest yet, but the M&S cami bra seems favourite so far, with adjustable straps & plenty of hooks on the wide band.
I'm just landing here again after a busy week, and have skipped any posts from page 428 onwards.
My Father passed away last Monday, peacefully, with my Mum sitting next to him, in their living room at home. His real sickbed, where he couldn't leave his bed anymore, only lasted 2 weeks and he was clearminded until the end.
My Sister and I stayed with my Mum for the week, organising the service, informing people of his passing, supporting Mum, etc. I hadn't spoken to Sister for 12 years after her jealousy and insecurities began to affect my little family and I had to protect them. As usual, we worked well together (like clockwork), but conversations were limited to 'how's the weather'-level. The service went well, over 100 people attending, even standing at the back. My reading of my Father's life story went well, too. The meeting of our 2 families went without a hitch, but again, I could see my Sister keeping track of how much attention our Mother was giving to her children and to mine. We had dinner afterwards, just the 11 of us, and we chatted mainly about the food on our plates.
My family stayed another day; we removed my Father's summer shirts, underwear and shoes from the wardrobe (at Mum's request); we changed the winter curtains for summer curtains in the living room; we went through the pantry and fridge and removed anything my Mother won't eat; we weeded the backyard; we fixed the ipads and smartphones so that my Mother can maybe start using them; we gave a lot of hugs and chatted about plans for the future. Mum is full of plans and has a large social network.
We will return Thursday/Friday, which is a long weekend in Belgium, so we can visit Mum and start instructing her on internet banking, emailing, etc..

🐸 Emailed off notes from committee meeting that was 12 days ago - oops. But done now. 🐸 Emailed off all paperwork for sale/purchase of house - yay! But a big task I had been avoiding all weekend, and the solicitors website is blocked at work, so have had a bit of a potch trying to figure out how to manage it. Never mind, done! 🐸 Holidays booked for friend's wedding, hair appointment, day after daughter's birthday. Also had a chat with my manager about working from home for an additional day each week (not for a couple more months - boo but at least I know.) and approval for Adult Mental Health First Aid course I applied for (not sure if it will be approved as it's not strictly related, but it's gone to the big boss, so I will wait and see). 19 days left for the year.
I have still failed to remove the donation box from the house, so that is on the list of tasks for tomorrow! Have also decluttered rather more money than I was expecting over the weekend, so belt tightening ahoy.
The big effort on Sunday meant that I am all caught up with the laundry for the first time in forever, and decluttered all my ironing piles. Woo.

I'm meeting L for coffee this afternoon so grabbing a few more items to put in the box to donate to L's sister's church's thrift shop: a wooden prayer cube, a paperweight, a bangle and a boxed set of 4 Beatrix Potter books.
Good afternoon to all declutterati, It's be a long time since I posted, and I have been desperately trying to catch up with the posts, resorting to sneaking on in my lunch break to read through your news before posting. Sorry to hear that so many have been struggling and having all manner of things thrown at you by life. I went into the TLC carriage in April , and seem to have struggled to find the door out 😳. No doubt waylaid by all the goodies that were in there. I think I heard lemon drizzle cake at some point... DD, however, came home from uni at Easter, and (bless her) contributed fully to my decluttering total for the month. She produced a huge bin bag of clothes for the cs, put some clothes up for sale (which are slowly leaving the house), and we tidied up her many plants, binning the ones beyond redemption. My efforts for April were a bit more tame, just the odd book, magazine and a couple of items of clothes for the cs. All in all, more certainly left the house than entered it, but it was certainly less organised and more of a random declutter. So on to May (belatedly), and decluttering efforts have all been outside based (still don't mention the garage or the shed, which along with the loft are all a declutterer's dream, or maybe nightmare). I have been chasing my tail at the allotment, but still managing to get there enough when it stops raining to generate bags of weeds. No shortage of weeds to keep me decluttering there for at least a couple of months. I need to get re-focussed indoors as well, so expect lists, lists and more lists. It helps to declutter my notebook stash, so win win!
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger yes it is the vanish - I had to go and check. Loved the suggestion too for GD re doing the washing up and the missing spoons and forks Well the 3 boxes of envelopes and stationary left the house yesterday as planned along with some very gratefully received stamps to adorn them. Was impressed with myself as I usually take forever to actually get them out. Also dropped off a bag soft plastic at the supermarket. A box of note pads and other bits has been divided between work and for us to use in this life time. The box has been recycled. The 6 white terries that I cleaned up the other day have been collected. @Siebrie - Condolences with your loss x
