Morning xx
Late up this morning as I stayed up to watch Eurovision... for the first time in decades. For me the most bonkers was the group in the baggy y-fronts. I didn't know they were still a thing. Even my 88 year old Pops wears boxers and has done for a looonnnggg time. But I have to acknowledge that my knowledge of men's underwear is very limited 🤣
I brought down the zipped holdall containing cricket stumps from RoD1. To be dusted and added to DS's pile.
And when I go back up to get dressed I'll bring down the flat bed scanner - to be bagged and put out for recycling when the binmen come on Thursday.
Every little helps.
Love to all

As stated above I've brought down the flat bed scanner to go to the recycling depot.
I had a bit of a mooch in RoD1 and 2 to remind myself what's in there....get me with floor to mooch on in both rooms. 😊. Oh but Mrs SD 😭 Guess what I found lurking behind the door in RoD1! The PS2!!!!!! I remembered wrongly. (Is wrongly not a word? Prescriptive text is insisting on 'wrong lyrics' 🤣) My friend bought her girls a new to them PS and DS gave them some games to play. I remember now.
Heyho. I poked a hole in a couple of binbags in RoD2 to view the contents. One bag seems to contain trucks - I see wheels. The other has Jiminy Cricket looking back at me. 👀
One step at a time. I'll get that cricket stumps bag dusted and added to DS's pile.

Can't remember who referenced disappearing cutlery but now it's not just my teenagers/ young people !
Just decluttered an mri scan , nhs catching up early on a Sunday.
The posh tips made it to cs with other things and added a bracelet. Small steps.
Dd1 asking to defer exams for health and arranging for her stuff to come.back to mine Friday. Moved things around in her old room as will be bedroom and dining room stuff as well as sofa. DD2 tidied her revision papers on dining table so now in neat piled and waste paper bin full and then emptied.
Just trying to get through RL. My PC only has a blue screen ( apparently known as blue screen od death). Decluttered hours to no avail as yet.
Hugs and encouragement to all as can seem am uphill battle x18 -
Inspired by @Florenceem I've been out to do QH gardening. I'm so unfit that 15 minutes is my limit. I know my feet are further away than they used to be but I hadn't realised that the ground had moved too. And I daren't sit down to do it in case I can't get back up. When did this become a thing? Oh well. I can tell where I've been. And there's a colony of ants that aren't too happy with me. As long as they stay outside they can live.
Brown bin is witness to my outdoor decluttering.

Back from Church - now have 1 item being collected today and 2 Freeglers collecting tomorrow.
Lots of people asking for the sewing machine but I will take my time choosing who gets it.
Must get out of my uniform - have lunch and get back to sorting out the office.
There is an afternoon service but I haven't decided about attending yet.
I have a Corp Council meeting to attend on Tuesday evening and there is an Ascension Day service on Thursday so a busy week ahead.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

2 pairs of shoes out to bin as no good to pass on to anyone
nothing new in this month only a swimming costume for me for when we went away. Holiday was very stressful but have booked for next year with a better accommodation more suited to a family with a disabled child17 -
I have just decluttered my post-surgery babysitters back to London, and me & the cat are relaxing on the sofa. I've also added up the initial cost of my illness - post-surgery bras (even from Asda) aren't cheap!
Florenceem, what will you do with your garden? Do you have pots that can be planted up to brighten the cleared area? I hope MrF isn't too upset by your hard work when he comes home.

Floss - my plan is to have the back garden paved and then I will have some pots to brighten up the area. I will get J to paint the horrid breeze block wall that next door built.
I think Mr F will be relieved that it has been done.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday is sunny with clear blue skies 🥳 Dare I hope spring is finally here? 🙏Up 11:15, did wudupa left from last night. DH watching MotoGP races
160 - 1161 Takeaway box, magazine - recycled
weenancy, well done on using your ‘waiting in car’ time so productively 👏 Wishing you success in finding the courses you would like to do 😊
Florenceem, I have everything crossed that everything will fit in SIL’s car for the Tip run 🤞More excellent work in the office & 3810/2023 has earned you another Gold Star ⭐️ I hope that the weather has improved today 🤞
2Scratters, excellent work only coming back with a car-boot full of ‘stuff’ 👏 Hopefully the 4 boxes that are earmarked to leave will soon be gone 🤞Hmm, missing cutlery, how about this for a solution 😉Your DS should make his teenage daughter do the washing up & count the spoons & forks as she wudupa - any missing ones she has to go out into the garden with a torch & find them 🤣 OR is that a bit harsh 🤔 Border Collie rescue will be so pleased to receive 3 boxes of stationery - you angel 😇What a great result with the old clothing - are we talking V….. for the pink bottle of oxy stuff? Ian surprised DH’s parents didn’t’t take his brother to the Doctor as he was obviously having digestive problems 🤣
Moorviews, sorry to hear that family stresses are making life difficult for you 😔 I had never really registered the use of the words ‘sandwich generation’ before, so did have to look it up. You have managed to squeeze in a few excellent decluttering sessions 👏 & it sounds like MrMV is lending a hand 😊 Good luck with your shoe shopping expedition 🍀 The good thing about wanting to buy comfy shoes/sandals is that there is far more choice nowadays so one of the companies might have comfy & stylish shoes 🤞
Florenceem, have you contacted Royal Mail as it seems odd that you haven’t had any post recently 🤔presumably not even junk mail 🤨 Your DGS J has done such a wonderful job 🥳 Hopefully you can book another slot at the Tip & what didn’t make it to the Tip today can go next week 🤞
You are very welcome florianatwobob 🙂 I do have a suggestion re items being in the wrong place - how about ‘The Box Method’ to get items to the correct room 😉 I will try to explain succinctly because as you know I can be a tad verbose 😂 Step 1 - Put an empty box outside each room. Step 2 - Pick a single room to declutter/tidy up. Step 3 - Remove all items that do not belong & put them in their appropriate room boxes Step 4 - When you have completed the first room move onto the next & repeat Step 3. Step 5 - When all rooms have been done ONLY then put away the items in each box (in their appropriate room) The important thing here is that you do NOT put items into their appropriate room one at a time 😉 as once you start tackling the boxes you might realise that particular items are no longer required & can be donated/sold 😉 Good luck 🍀
Lovely post Moorviews 😊 & I am joining you in your hope that Florenceem can get back to her crafting 🤞especially as she is so talented 👏
More excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏 Your local Freeglers are certainly getting quality items 😊
roundtuit I am just listening to the winning song - still not too impressed 😔 I also have to confess that I thought Mel was a very poor commentator - very dreary voice in my opinion - I had to fast forward through her bits 🤷♀️ I see that you are patiently adding to DS’s pile of goodies 😉 Hopefully he has a big enough car to take everything 😂 Get you 😉 - you have done so much decluttering that you have enough floor space to ‘mooch’ around 🥳 Predictive text is often more trouble than it is worth 😬 I can confirm that ‘wrongly’ is definitely a word 🙂 I hope you kept the PS2 box 😉 If I had poked holes in bags I would have had to sort them out immediately 😱 so I admire your restraint 👏
TC77, hope the MRI scan results come back soon & show no issues 🤞Is DD1 also moving in with her furniture? So sorry to hear that DD1 is having health issues 😔 Good luck with sorting out your PC blue screen 🍀
Great work in the garden roundtuit 👏 We have also given up trying to get rid of ants as long as they stay outside 😅 Hopefully you can gradually build up your time in the garden as you get fitter 🤞I did think you were describing me 😉 I am not quite sure either about when the kneeling let alone sitting on the ground became a problem 😔 - hence DH building raised beds & a table top bed for me 😇 See pictures below

I am losing concentration again so will post this & come back later 😉

Back again & now caught up 🙂
Florenceem, I love the idea that so many people would like the vintage sewing machine & that you are taking the time to decide who will be it’s new owner 😊 You definitely have a busy week ahead 😉
Great decluttering Crazycatlady2 👏 Sorry to hear that your holiday was so stressful 😔
Floss, very pleased to hear that you are recovered enough to declutter your post-surgery babysitters 😊 However, please remember to take it easy & not try to do too much until you are fully recovered 🙏
Great plan for the garden Florenceem 👏 The really nice thing about your decision to paint the breeze block wall is that you have a willing painter in DGS J 😊 I am sure that MrF will love sitting out in a calmer & more beautiful space 😊
Hope everyone is as lucky as we are and that the sun is shining 😊
