@Florenceem amazing work , please take a rest
One car load of things brought back from dd1 and going back in about half an hour. Up early tomorrow promised dd2 lift to exam and then to dd1 for van. She's only been in her flat 18 months and throws out things all the time but seems so much- the thought of moving from 3 storey house I've lived in for 30 years seems
impossible.
Won't be able to.move in anyroom but kitchen and dining room - where dd2 and I just managed to find space to eat dinner . It's a big table but covered with revision. 5 weeks and then can start sorting my things. I'm sure I'm paying insurance for dd1 flat but can't work out the company or how paying- sign of level of disorganisation !.18 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday is bright but overcast although the sun is trying hard to break through 🙂 I amended yesterday’s post to say that DSis did the wudupa this morning. Recycling wheelie was emptied today after being missed last week. Wrote a shopping list for DH & put away shopping when DH got back. Frittered away the rest of the day reading & doing Sudoku puzzles. Dinner was omelettes for DH & myself, and risotto cakes for DSis. DH did the bulk of the washing up. I finished off, dupa & wiped down all kitchen surfaces. DH washed the third of the patio that was jet washed yesterday (I will take & post photo tomorrow 😉)
1192 - 1197 Kitchen recycling, office recycling, cardboard box, paper packaging, drinks cans, plastic bottle - recycled

Going to visit Mr F this afternoon.
This morning I will pop to SA and then take a bag of stuff to the charity shop + pay some bills - Mr F's bank has now agreed that I can pay bills from his account.
Still in pjs after my shower - I can see some shredding out on the pavement - I hope someone hasn't split the bags as it will be
a terrible mess to clear up.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

@TC77 If you use online banking check your DD'S and standing orders also continuous payments they show too now a days. Maybe you or DD have had an email and you have saved it.
I'm definitely not decluttering here at my house. However stuff from parents though is working its way in. Clearing the house they left and also seeing some of the most very odd items that got moved to their flat. Seeing very old pans that have been fixed to make do for example. So now both of theses properties are needing work on them.
I clearly am my mothers daughter in having stuff but still being very selective about what is coming in. It has to be useable and will save/prevent me from the need to buy anytime soon making me my fathers daughterEverything that is coming in is being cleaned and sorted and placed away appropriately, that too is a result.
I have shopped from home by using a garden chair cover unused for covering the folding bed and releasing the material covering it to recycle land.

It's been a week since I last posted. Kept up with reading posts for a couple of days but so far behind now I've given up even skim reading. Sorry!
A fairly quiet week work wise - some ups and downs in mood but more manageable. New CBT Therapist is so much more experienced and sessions way more helpful as a result.
Followed up on travel insurance query - additional payment now only £14 rather than the £54 they originally asked for.Tasks:
- Travel Insurance bought
- 2nd CBT session
- Trimmed front and back garden (ached for days after)
- Cancelled website plan - barely use it
IN (running total 86)
0
OUT (running total 391)
392 -6 5 x Trays left by pest control - mice appear to be decluttered now.
397. dead pants
398. old waterproof sheeting from garden
Love to all

Well I thought I was home and dry there with DD back at nursery, but she's now come down with something else! She's tired but also 2, so she can't sit still for 2 mins. DH has the day off, so he's on DD duty. He's taken her to feed the ducks after a mid morning nap and then she'll be back for another sleep. DS also has a bad cold that he has given to me. It's the plague house hereTrying to juggle work and home stuff as usual, but trying not to stress about it. The house is starting to slide again, so I need to get as much tidying done as I can in breaks etc. I've already changed all the beds and am on the second load of washing. Some more decluttering to declare as I try to get to the end of the tidying (which is going to be slow as it generally contains longer things for me to do before it can be tidied - such as listing DD's old reusable nappies online).Digital:
13,765-13,769 - emails permanently deleted
Physical:
13,770-13,775 - paper (reused, then recycled)
13,776 - kids clothes too small (charity bag)
13,777 - socks that are uncomfortable (recycling)
13,778-13,806 - nappies too small (listed to sell)When I re-started my "proper" decluttering 1 January 2022 (and then joined this thread a few months later), I started tracking on the basis of getting rid of 1 item on 1st, 2 on the 2nd and then restarting each month. I've continued to track where I am with that and I am currently in July 2025 decluttering wiseWho knew I even had that much stuff to get rid of?! That also means that since 1 January 2022 I've ejected 18,912 items from my house since then! It's mad!

Friday is another overcast day & slightly cooler than yesterday (only 15C). Up & dressed by 12:30 & came downstairs to find an envelope which I recognised as being from NS&I 🤔 A surprise to me as when I checked my PB holder number at the beginning of the month I had the ‘Sorry No Luck This Time’ message - curiouser & curiouser 🤨 Checked again - lo & behold I was a winner 2 x £25 🥳 I rechecked DH’s number 🤞but he was still not a winner 😔 Very, very odd but I am happy 🙂 I am posting the original ‘cleaned patio’ photo & the now bleached clean patio picture - spot the difference 😂

I have been missing for 2 weeks! Phone left at dds house on mainland! My, you have all been very busy.
This lovely weather has had me decluttering in garden.5 large bags of composted garden materials spread over garden. 4 bags of garden rubbish removed to tip. Really pleased that my newly learned composting skills are finally paying off. Next year I am hoping that all of my garden rubbish will be composted at home. I am also working my way through some of the paint tins that are stored in shed and DH and I have painted garden fence, top of beehive composter and tops of decking posts. Will post pics when operation "Garden tidy" is complete.
Also dealt with frog. Passports now applied for after 2 trips to post office to have them checked!craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,
