What a beautiful weekend it is! I opened up the shed this morning thinking that I might turn it out. Nope, I shall find something more enjoyable like planting or potting on the plants I have bought rather than letting them desiccate in their tiny pots. 

@Muddy_Walker - you have such a lot depleting your resources that I hope you can rest. It’s horrible when someone is randomly against you and always hard to fathom, but it’s a sad reflection on them as a person. I hope everything works out well with your dog, it must be a huge worry. 

@QueenJess - that’s rough having poorly children and then falling ill yourself. I hope you can do as little as possible while receiving some help from your husband.

@Moorviews and Mrs SD our local hospice shop often has some smaller pieces of furniture in too.

Decluttered so much today that’s been sitting around for waaaay too long:

-  The huge box of gardening supplies and random stuff in the kitchen 

- The old towels and the last bits of my old clothes

- Houseplant pots I no longer need

And, the best bit? FINALLY Got my OH to clear out his old clothes and the chest of drawers with all of his stuff in it so he actually has space for stuff he actually wears 🙌🙌🙌.

We now have 2 Ikea bags-full of clothes to donate!

Next up:
- buy vacuum bags to store winter insulated coats and duvets

- Clear the shed

- Tackle the ‘cupboard of doom’ upstairs

To all nervous declutterers - you can see how much I have decluttered in 2023 - no regrets - wouldn't even be able to remember what has gone. 
I am hoping Mr F is the same when he arrives home - it won't matter though as - all gone!

Ha! I managed to stay on the EDT for a little longer before I fell back off - so I have at least skim read some posts this time!! 

Had a nice pottering about day yesterday including an afternoon spent in the garden having a good clear up.  Early service at Church today then rushed home to get my hair done - much needed! 

I've been invited to some events over the Summer - one of them has a green & gold colour theme and I've become ridiculously  obsessed by finding the right thing to wear.   My safety net is - a plain black dress and really lovely green cropped cardi / shrug but I don't have any gold costume jewellery - I was hoping the charity shop fairies would oblige but no luck so far.   I'm reluctant to pay too much as there's a chance I might not wear it again - having said that I've just seen a really gorgeous one on Etsy  that is turning my head - but its £27.50.... .  I guess I could designate 2023 as the Summer of gold jewellery.   I can't believe I am spending so much time thinking about this -  I could just do an extra session at work this week and pay for it !! But that feels like admitting defeat for a bargain hunter like me!

Had had a nasty bout of fatigue followed by a few days away.  House sale due to complete in around 4 weeks so the pressure is on.  Have made a list of priorities and will crack on tomorrow. 

So glad there are some empty cupboards and an empty loft so can store some of OH’s things.  Some will need to go into paid storage but we don’t think there’ll be much.

@oceanspirit hope you're better now. That's amazing having empty cupboards as remember when  that wasn't the situation!

@EnergyShifter thank you, no-one would survive  if dd1 had to stay here for long. Crisis earlier as she couldn't find passport and nonstop calls that left in flat and cleaners must have taken it etc and of course my fault- she did find it but v stressed as operation on Thursday and she goes away 31st. 
Have tided shelves by bed, done more filing and paper declutter and desk tidy. Dropped my phone and after phone calls ( from home phone) found photos etc backed up just not texts. Can be mended but taking time to think as out sim card in old phone.
Pencilling in Nov for electronic decluttering and going to do small areas in detail cleaning at same time as looks so.much fresher !

Really tempted to buy some cosmetics and even had some in the basket.  I talked myself out of it though and did not purchase anything.  I am allowed to buy something once I've used up what I've already got.

A few more bits of decluttering to report.  I will be catching up on more tidying during the week.

Hi, running to catch up with the train. 

I have been enjoying the magnificent weather by having a couple of afternoons in the garden. I was watching a squirrel very carefully biting off a cluster of tree flowers, eating all the flowers and being left with the stalk like a grape stalk. I have never given a thought to a squirrels diet before.

Good evening all. Busy few days here as DH has been putting gates up for DD1 to stop DGD running off then this afternoon he's had the strimmer to our jungle of a garden.
Went to get washing out earlier and when I opened the washer door was greeted with an awful smell and smoke! Dh will look at it tomorrow but I may have decluttered another washing machine, I'm really hoping it's fixable though.
Shopping came this afternoon and DD2 wanted to put all of her baking stuff away so decided to clear out the cupboard first. Gave her my phone and told her to keep a total of what was no good, so she did, in detail 🤣 it's safe to say I haven't used that cupboard for a while (it was overflowing and things got put in other places and all forgotten about) but DD has taken to baking this week. Now DGD can't escape her garden I'm hoping DH can start on ours tomorrow.
