1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Excellent work with the ironing Liverpool_Anne 👏 As you dislike ironing so much I think you should claim 5 points 😉 Thanks for the info about broadband 👏
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏 Is the stuff on the driveway for the Tip or has it been put out for people to pick up? Fingers crossed for a dry day so that DGS J enjoys the gardening 🤞
Excellent decluttering Dfw38 👏 Four trips to the Tip shows just how much you have done 🥳 Hope you can catch up on your sleep tonight 🤞
GrannyKate, hope the children didn’t eat you out of house & home 😉 Good luck with your cleaning, sorting & decluttering 🍀
Florenceem, pleased to hear that you are having such a quick turnaround with the items you are listing on your local giveaway site 👏😊
Excellent work roundtuit 👏 I am awarding you a medal 🏅 for realising how far you have come especially with the 90% more living room floor visible 👏 Please remember to celebrate your successes 😊
Sounds like you had a lovely weekend foxandflowers & are now fully recharged 😊 Well done on selling your house 🥳 Great work in the attic especially as you only have 2 boxes of stuff that you are taking with you to your new home 👏 A brilliant start to your decluttering - if you can keep up this pace you will have no problems being ready for your move in 3 months 😊 Love the Crow Journals idea 😊
GrannyKate, Excellent decluttering & well done on dealing with tadpoles BEFORE they became frogs 👏
oceanspirit, pleased to hear that you spent time with family & friends rather than decluttering 😊 Now fully recharged & raring to go 🤞Good luck with the decluttering - I know you will do it in the 6 weeks you have before OH moves in 👏
Florenceem, another busy day already 👏 Hopefully DGS J has dry weather for the gardening 🤞 Sorry to hear that you are having to get a new microwave 😔 more expense that you can do without 😔 Not quite sure what to say about Eon accepting your payment 🤨 but at least it is one less thing to worry about 😮💨
vulpix, not sure I could ever go vegan 😉 However i admire your commitment & hopefully the lovely picture of lemon curd was enough & brought the taste back into your imagination 😊 Great work reducing your carrier bag stash to zero 👏 I think the plumber is missing your company 😉 I promise I won’t tell MrV 😂
Teddy looks wonderful 😍 You might have to do your own version of a 100th birthday card from the King 😉
All caught up 🥳 Both DH & DSis are up & about & the sun is still shining 🙂

Why? Why are DHs blind??????????? The kitchen windowsill and plants on it needed sorting - I spent more time putting things away/binned before I could even start. I have little enough energy as it is 🤬🤬🤬🤬
last straw was walking into the living room and seeing a coffee table he’s pulled out to use and not put back….
Sorry for the rant , I am overtired after spending all day out on Sunday and rested yesterday while he did…..some hoovering.

Im just dropping in to let you all know that i have taken on board all your wonderful advice , considered how to do it and made a start. I will list my progress shortly.
The idea of a holding zone really resonated with me ..i have put things in boxes, dated the box and put them in the garage to allow a ' cool off period' i feel certain now that i have removed the items from prominant positions within the house and can enjoy the newly created space it brings ,they wont ever come back in. I gather it reduces the items importance for you. History tells me things rarely get back in the house once boxed in the garage. Then i plan to take the boxes to the CS eldest first. I also noted the starting small, and several sweeps and doing random areas whenever convenient ( like on call queues!) . Im battling what i think is post covid fatigue which is zapping my ability to work at it for long.so am aiming at a 15m slot daily.
So last week DH started a new job and we declutteted a car with car finance declutted too. Hugely satisfying. A company truck type vehicle will be available in the next month or so and all i can think is potential for tip and CS runs
I will list my progress shortly16 -
MrsSD - the stuff on the drive is for people to take and what is left at the weekend will go to the tip.
Been to visit Mr F - he was worrying about his weight today. He is meant to be weighed on a Monday but it hasn't happened. Physio took him down to their dept by wheelchair today and he had to stand to make a cup of tea. Mr F told me that someone was coming to the house to see if it was suitable for him to return home. Carers could come in 3 times a day - won't work - he needs assistance of 2 to visit toilet with a Sara Stedy.
I saw a Sister who said - it is up to Physio and Occupational Therapists when someone who has been discharged by Drs medically - is fit to leave hospital. They said about him living downstairs - ridiculous - the bathroom is upstairs. I must have ruffled Sister as 2 Physios turned up at Mr F's bed. They said - he is down for a rehabilitation bed if they don't get him mobile enough to return home - it is a case of which happens first - a bed or them getting him fit. I pressed for the nearest place to me as a non driver but they said - highly unlikely and could be further away from home than the hospitalDecluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
