Up early again - lots planned for today - not going to visit Mr F - I don't like to ask people for a lift on a Bank Holiday and my DD is off today so can't pick me up - don't want to take her away from family time.
Washing machine is going on.
So great to see space in the garage at last.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Hi all after the sunshine yesterday it is raining again today. I got 4 loads of washing done and line dried yesterday. 2 loads have been folded and put away while the rest has been either folded and given to OH or is waiting to be ironed. OH claimed the ironing board yesterday and has made a good start on sorting a pile of clothes. We now have the start of a bag for the cs which has made me very happy as OH has piles of clothes everywhere. Meanwhile I filled and then emptied the kitchen bin. The 2 presents were wrapped using paper from my stash and the cards have been written. I had a coversation with my niece in Bequia as it was her birthday and a conversation with my sister who I haven't spoken to for a while. I have ordered my meds a little early as I have worked out they will run out the day after I return from my trip. I also spent some time yesterday pottering in the garden and actually sitting in the sun reading. It was just too nice
Today I am claiming the ironing board so I had better crack on.
I hope everyone has a lovely extra bank holiday.
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Hello lovely declutterati (love that name!),
Sorry I’ve not posted for such a long time, I’m still reading along and keeping up with everyone’s progress, and about the trials and tribulations of real life. Sending hugs to everyone who needs or would like one. And well done to those who are making progress, no matter how small, with their decluttering missions.
Thank-you Mrs SD for my fourth Gold Star ⭐️, and my reading medal🏅. I have so much admiration for how you keep up with what everyone is doing and always have lovely positive and encouraging things to say to everyone.
I’ve not been able to do as many paid hours lately as I would have liked, I caught another bug, have been doing voluntary work, helping a friend with her divorce paperwork and training for a sponsored half marathon walk. Completed the walk yesterday and am pretty achy today, so woke up at 5.30 and am trying to catch up with all my urgent paperwork jobs! Will rest some more later.
I have managed to sort out my blood pressure and now have a pass on my work medical, which is god news as it means, once I’ve passed a training course, I can start gather evidence to become fully licenced again.
No more progress on my home office tidy up, other than starting on the huge pile of filing that has built up. But have taken down shelving and taken apart the bed in my daughter’s old room in anticipation of getting it decorated and turning it into a spare room.
So to my numbers!
Physical items decluttered or frogs ticked off –
92 kids dressing up and stationary items and misc items. 17 x Brochures / magazines / pamphlets recycled and 10” A3 paper donated to Dorset scrap store, 4 cardboard boxes, 7 x metal items, 3 sheets plastic stuff, 2 pieces decking, 5 textile items and a jar of cooking oil to recycling at the tip, 3 beds and 3 pots weeded and tidied up, and branches from 4 trimmed shrubs to the garden recycling at the tip, 3 broken toys into the bin and 6 bags soft plastics to supermarket recycling. 24 old / ood food and drink items uu, trying to clear out all the other food from the freezer and alcoholic drinks, getting through it all slowly. 50+ vinyl LP’s sold for £67 – yay! Completed 154 frogs / froglets / tadpoles (Microsoft account blocked again – trying to resolve that, grrrr!). Total 532 = 2855 / 4046
Read a book every other week - Betty Church and the Suffolk Vampire, and Vintage Shop of Second Chances - E-books read; Sherlock Holmes Lost Railway Mysteries, and Someone Else’s Shoes audible books listened to – total 17/26
Mend one item per week – Mended a picture, a lampshade, the sleeve on a hoodie, 4 bras (annoyingly the underwire in two have since broken), a soft toy house, a wooden ornament, two sheets and dyed another sheet - total 24/52
Weight goal of losing 24kg – not weighed myself since I’ve been doing a lot of walking, hoping it will have had an impact. Will update next time!
One significant home maintenance or improvement job per month - total 12 (of my wish list of 20) – Front lounge now finished as the lampshade has been recovered, but it is still housing an extra bookcase, which is waiting to go in the other lounge when that room is sorted out! Not marking as complete until bookcase goes.
Sort out and use up old toiletries and excess cleaning products or donate / dispose of so only one of each – UU 1 large bottle bath foam from stash, emptied hair gel tub (my son’s that he had stopped using and it just didn’t suit my hair) and uu 9 empty travel sized bottles and tubs also from stash.
Operate a 1 in 1 out rule for clothes, books and ornaments, excess items in = a negative number – Bought a new t-shirt for a retro 80’s evening that I probably won’t wear again so will donate, and bought a cotton Breast Walk Ever t-shirt yesterday to replace my Tencel one which I don’t like the feel of. So at +2 atm.
Try mending or buying secondhand before buying anything expensive as new – Playhouse refurbished and converted to potting shed instead of buying new. Saved about £2,500!
Hope everyone has a good Coronation bank holiday Monday; I’m going to lie down for a nap as I’m now really sleepy. Love H x

We are on the M6 on the way to visit DS and DIL. Listening to Bridge over troubled water album. I have been inspired to listen to albums after talking to DS about the Rolling Stone top 500 albums. He is working his way through listening to them all. He was surprised that I guessed 7 of the top 10.I am sure you have worked out how to pass on your excess Covid tests Queen Jess. I put mine on a local thrift site and they were collected by someone who works in a care home.Whilst looking for clothes to wear today I ousted a pile of stuff that I thought was ok a week ago! All the outdoor gear I used to wear when I worked in a cave. I then had a quick squint in the wardrobe and ousted a cut silk kimono that DD1 gave me. Maroon not my colour. Clothes are my Achilles heel. A trip to the chazzer saw a white stuff summer top and a m&s summer jumper in. I have more than enough summer tops for my cruise now. I also have about 4 pairs of white linen trousers to go with them. I am on the lookout for more evening wear now. I already have enough jewellery shoes and bags. 🤣 Oh. We bought 2 massive suitcases from fb. Last cruise we did I sold the cases when we got back!
I agree weenancy about being grateful we don’t have The Trumps as our head of state. The only benefit for me to having a Royal family is our head of state is not political. The bathroom is finished. I love it. Spring cleaning down stairs next.Pounds decluttered 8
love to all Vx

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I was up just before 07:00 but am still only in a dressing gown 😉 DH left about 09:30 for a day out doing the Round Britain Rally. Fingers crossed that it stays dry for him 🤞
Liverpool_Anne, hopefully, now that the dr has noticed the medication & OH has had lots of tests, a full explanation of what is happening will be forthcoming 🤞I am not a fan of crowds either Liverpool_Anne 😥 The lovely thing about the Coronation is that I don’t think you need to be a Royalist to enjoy watching the pomp & circumstance & admire the marching bands 🙂 I couldn’t help but notice how different it was to the Queens Coronation which was shown when she died. Good luck with your packing 🍀
You are very welcome Deni_debt-free_dreamer 🙂 How exciting for you - becoming self employed - something to look forward to in 2024 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏
Excellent decluttering florianatwobob 👏 Certainly looks soggy from your photo 😔
Brie, shame about the rucksack but I am sure there will be someone who wants it when you advertise it or if you decide to donate it 🙂 Good luck with clearing the carport & sneaking the photo montage into the attic 🍀
Foofoopuppy, sorry to hear that your week was not particularly great 😔 I hope you are OK after your bike crash & you were not too badly injured 🤞 Well done for persuading Mr Puppy to sort out the pan cupboard 👏
Brie, the decluttering gods might not be on your side but the nature gods are definitely cheering you on - birds & foxes 😊 Hope mummy bird did come back 🤞 & that you get to see the 3 babies fly away 😊
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏 No wonder the cheese puffs & muffins were all eaten - they looked delicious 😋
Floss what a Good idea for Brie 🙂
Brie, Good luck decluttering the rucksack 🍀 Now you just have to convince your OH to release at least one of the other smaller ones 😉
QueenJess, pleased to hear that there is no pressure to fill the bag & apologies for getting hold of the wrong end of the stick 😔 I see what you mean about school fetes 😉 A declutterer’s nightmare 😥Although hm baked goods would be perfectly acceptable 😅
Excellent decluttering by you & your DBro, florianatwobob 👏 Any chance of popping round to clean my bathroom 🤣
Excellent work Pennypincin 👏 especially getting rid of the daily clutter 🙂
Florenceem, great news that all your Freeglers are turning up & on time 😊 Well done on decluttering half the garage 👏
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 & good luck reducing your packaging 🍀
TC77, sounds like you enjoyed your Saturday even if you were walking in the rain 😊 Did you see the helicopters and the Red Arrows? Excellent decluttering & well done on clearing up so many tasks 👏
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏
Great decluttering bit_by_bit 👏 Sunday sounds perfect - lunch with friend & booking a holiday to Portugal 😊 DH & I have never been to Portugal so might have to add it to our list 😉
Florenceem, please don’t do too much today 🙏 I am concerned that you are exhausting yourself 😔
Liverpool_Anne, what a busy Sunday for both you & OH 👏 although I was pleased to see that you spent some time enjoying the sunshine 😊 Regardless of the rain, I hope you manage a bit of you time today after your ironing marathon 😉
sumb7170, lovely post & thank you so much for the lovely compliment 👏 Sorry to hear that you have caught another bug & have been unable to do as many paid hours as you would like 😔 Although I see you have been very busy 👏 Congratulations on completing your half marathon 🥳 Excellent news that you have sorted out your blood pressure & good luck getting licensed again 🍀 You have made an excellent start in your daughter’s old room 👏 Absolutely brilliant decluttering & great progress on your stated goals 👏 Hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised when you weigh in 😊 Now to your awards 🙂 One Gold Star ⭐️ for reaching 2855/4046 AND one Gold Star ⭐️ for saving so much money refurbishing & converting a playhouse into a potting shed 🥳 Martin would be very proud 🥹
vulpix, always so lovely when you can surprise someone from a younger generation 😊 Great idea for passing on excess Covid tests 👏 Excellent work decluttering clothing & I am especially impressed that after just a week you ousted clothing that you had previously considered OK 👏🥳 Your excitement about your cruise is infectious & it sounds like you have almost all of your preparations in hand 😊Yippee to your bathroom finally being completed 🥳 Any chance of you posting a photo 🙏 you know how nosy I am 😉 Congratulations on the weight loss 👏
All caught up 🙂 so I suppose I should get dressed & do some decluttering 😉

Hiya xx
I retrieved the long handled duster from the wooden shed (of doom) and I've decluttered all the webs from the living room and kitchen ceilings 😱
I'm keeping the long handled duster inside the house from now on, where it can be got at and used more regularly.
🎖to myself for finally shaking off my Miss Haversham decor 😊

Rxxchuckled at you reference to Miss HAversham, we were watching the newest version of great expectations last night (with Olivia Coleman as Miss HAversham) Not sure what i think about this version yet, its definetly grittier!!, might have to re read the book to compare porperly!Been to work this morning as couldnt afford to take too many mondays off as Monday is my clinic day and my main day for earning pennies. JUst now tackled a large frog ~ student finance application, sat with DS1 and then had to do my own part and DH is currently sitting doing his bit. Will also need to do it with DS2, but they are still mooting about having a gap year, so maybe we wont have to do that one yet for a while! Now not doing much at all, started a book, my mother suggested I relax and read a book, so Iactually decided that maybe she was right and i should, so picked up Celestine Prophecy which I have read a couple of times but ot fro several years and Im enjoyiing it, all this talk of energy ~ i love it x♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

⭐My rambling savings Diary ~⭐17 -
I decluttered and swept in the garage then my DD picked me up to go shopping. We visited The Rang. + Wick.. + Dunhel. & Sainsbur.. - I was looking for a pink washing up bowl - got one but couldn't find a pink broom + dustpan and brush. So easy to spend money but then I don't shop very often.
Had 3 Freeglers collect items.
I found Mr F's vintage Bullworker in the garage.
I cleaned the top of our small freezer now it is wet on top - there is a small hole - the dirt must have been blocking the split. Have ordered a fridge freezer from JL but can't be delivered until next week.
A friend has offered to take me to the hospital on Friday - I need to organise a lift for tomorrow.
I took 2 bags of fabric/clothes recycling to the SA at 7.30 this morning. Just been back there with 2 black sacks of rubbish for their bin.

Well that frog took all day to sort. DWP form for DH and notified of a change in his health. It took 16 days to arrive and left us with just about 2 weeks for completion and returning it.
I managed to throw a pair of comfy pants out and DH has handed a long sleeved t shirt for cutting into rags.
Had lovely day at the wedding till we were leaving and dh had an episode of coughing up blood.(Sorry if TMI for some) That needs keeping an eye on.
Decluttered free water from the shed roof into the water butts, filling up very nicely.
