I have been back again to the SA to put 2 filled bags of stuff in their bin. A Freegler just came and took 2 items. Only had a spattering of rain here.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Yesterday turned into a depressing day. Help at the library didn't show up but I sorted out 10 boxes of books that had arrived that day. And restocked four carts of books. But my roommate Di came back to pick me up from her doctor's appointment with unsettling news. He thinks she may have had a stroke which is causing the health problems that have laid her off at work. She may also have torn her rotator cuff at work. She had been doing most of the driving but doesn't want to now until she knows for sure what is wrong, but I hate to drive especially at night. Will have to ask for help for most of it.
We will need to go on a decluttering binge for the next few weeks. But my problem is even with my fibro and torn rotator cuff, I am the healthiest one at home (being 75 doesn't help either).
Have a box half way filled up with books to go to the library. Its a start but a long way to go.
Hope you enjoyed the Coronation. For those who didn't - be glad it isn't the Trump family you are dealing with. Something to be thankful for.
Hope everyone accomplishes what they really need to this week and can have some personal time to read or whatever.

@Florenceem makes sure that a ‘stairs assessment’ is conducted if they have a bright idea to send him home. I saw he’s using a Sarah Stedy so that should suggest that he needs a care package but sometimes what’s obvious to us gets forgotten by the medical side. Sadly health and social care whilst doing their best don’t always speak the same language.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Evening all. I wasn't going to do much today but after sitting down and watching the coronation I felt recharged and after lunch went and sorted/cleaned ds bedroom. Windows cleaned inside and out, dusted, vacuumed, bed moved into a new position and a drawer unit moved in to bedroom (previously ds just had his bed in there). The drawer unit needs repainting but I am going to hold off until the summer, as it will be done outside. All ds clothes run through and put in drawers and bottom drawer allocated to next size up clothes. Only took an hour but looks a lot better. Scary how easy it has been for the bedrooms to get messy again. Too much stuff still I think. Will continue this round of decluttering and will start again in bedrooms for the next decluttering sweep through in September.2024 decluttering Campaign

Thankyou @Dfw38 It went well.
Thats a good long list @Happy_Kitties
@Florenceem The advice on here is excellent re care Florianatwobob has it right in that medically fit and fit for discharge are often two different states of being.
Well what a day. up early for a hair cut and picked up DD from the train station. She is still not right but better.
I arrived at home to fid DH and MiL had made the soup I should have done yesterday.
I started to prep plates with food and then put it all back in the 'fridge. We have an American style refrigerator and it was rammed. It has a great big wide draw which took most of the prepared plates.
Watched the coronation in bits, usually I am stuck to the sofa watching all of an pomp and ceremony. This time it was just not possible. DD still unwell, MiL visually impaired and DH has a problem with his knee. He can't stand up or put his leg down easily. He has been using a stick to walk with otherwise I don't think would be able to safely get around.
Luckily I felt Ok today and felt super calm all day. We had at its fullest 15 adults and 5 children although all but one was over 7. I have a large downstairs with and an extension so managed to cope with it alhthough it was chaos. The noise levels were horrendous but all good natured and chatty.
Arrivals came over a period of 3 hours including me picking DS3 up with his two kids. So we did a sort of rolling buffet with 4 sorts of cake and tons of food. We have enough for the 8 of us who are eating lunch tomorrow and then I am going to have to go shopping again.
Most were gone by 6pm as they were travelling from various bits of the country. The place has been cleaned and cleared. Recycling gathered and put in the bin as we went, washing up done.
One of the best things is this feeling of weird calm. It comes I think from being prepared but also DH couldn't help and he is the one who shouts and gets agitated (sometimes I think he could have been a sargeant major). Anyway, he was the sociable host today. Happy days.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Saturday was wet all day. DSis & I watched the highlights programme of the Coronation. I did nothing but watch TV - clearing down programmes from the planner. Although I did make dinner - sausages, mash, baked beans & chopped tomatoes. Wudupa. DH was busier - he sanded down the side of the shed ready for painting before we put up the trellis. He also put new front brake pads on the Goldwing & replaced the broken rear part of front mudguard - all done whilst raining 😬
1118 - 1119 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
1120 - 1121 Kitchen detritus, broken mudguard - binned
Off to bed & will do the cheerleading tomorrow 😉

Hi all, not much decluttering done but a few things sorted. OH Dr appointment went ok. They have suddenly noticed OH has been taking tablets for high blood pressure, prescribef 18 months ago after the blood clot, and realised all sorts of other checks need to be done
hence the appointment, so things like eye test etc done and more blood tests ordered. Honestly I know they are playing catch up now and working their socks off but I am continually amazed at the things that seem to be missed. I also know there are lots of people who are in a much worse positions than us but I find it a bit worrying not knowing exactly what is going on.
I had bought a top for OH on my shopping trip but it proved to be not right so I had to take it back. Bit of a pain as it is a treck to the mands down the motorway. There is one in town but to be honest the city is full of Eurovision tourists and it's a bit too crowded for me. Anyhow got the refund easily. I managed to get the present that needed posting wrapped and posted along with the card. All the wrapping was from my stash so that's good. Lr bin and bedroom bin emptied and the bedroom recycling bin emptied.
On Saturday I did watch the coronation. I am not really royalist but it was interesting to see what happens and I am a bit of a sucker for a marching band, particularly a pipe and drum band. I would love to learn to play the bagpipes but I am not sure if I have the puff plus I think the neighbours would complain. It was interesting to see the number of women involved and also the number of people from ethnic minorities. I am hoping this is a sign of good things to come.
I also went to the footy so the day was gone by the time I got home.
Today the sun is out but it feels chilly but I will get a wash on and get it on the line. I also want to wrap the other 2 presents I have and get the cards written and I will have to do some more clothes sorting, probably have to do some ironing, my least fav job, but it will turn into a frog if I leave it any longer. The weather forecast for Cornwall is apparently 2 nice days but showers the rest of the time. This is from OHs bil who is a retired ships master and understands all the charts etc, so that means different clothes. So far I have decided on a swimming costume and my dry robethat covers both eventualities
@QueenJess try the free sites, olio or fb etc for the covid tests, I am still testing and I am sure others are too so I am sure someone would pick them up from you
Right 2nd cuppa required and I will get going.
Hugs to everyone who would like one
