DBro, with some bendy/stretchy assistance from DSis has decluttered more books & DVDs.
Some will be off to charity but some have gone into a new Ziffit box, including one valued at £5.06! Hope everyone is well.
I've been plodding along trying to sort out bits for appealing benefits and bus pass, with a recent family bereavement and assorted family drama that goes with it.
A few things have crept in, but have kept on top of things like making sure that the recycling and rubbish goes out.
Hope to cut the grass tomorrow, if not it can be done when it's dry in a week.
I am to get back on top of decluttering tomorrow too.
I've a kitchen countertop to start with.Decluttering campaign 2023

A bit of cheerleading first & then our afternoon of activity 😉
Lovely thoughtful post TC77 😊 Hope you managed to find a bit of time to watch the Coronation 🤞
Florenceem, fingers crossed that DH is moved to the physiotherapy ward whilst the discussions are ongoing about potential discharge 🤞 So lovely that you are getting DGS J involved with your decluttering 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏 & good luck with your continuing decluttering of the garage 🍀 but please do remember to have a rest & give yourself a bit of TLC 🙏 The TLC carriage is fully stocked now especially with quiche 😅
Thanks to florianatwobob, TC77, Floss & Brie for all the thoughtful & useful information about the systems in place for a return home when discharged from hospital 👏 Sending you all 💐 & 🎂
Florenceem, Sending lots of positive vibes that you can get lots of help from the council, social worker etc 😊 & I agree with TC77 that it will better to get too much support than not enough 😊
QueenJess, I have just an inkling that it would have been more helpful of DH to help you rather than moaning 😉 😂 He obviously doesn’t want a Gold Star 🤣Excellent work in the attic - your hard work is definitely paying off as the attic is now half empty 👏 Very impressed about the kitchen drawer decluttering you are an inspiration 😊 Hope you can find somewhere to donate the excess Covid tests 🤞 maybe a local care home or school?
Great ideas Brie 👏
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏
Sunday turned into a bright sunny day so DH & I spent 3 hours in the back garden 🙂 We put the painted trellis up on the side of the shed………at last 😉 DH sorted out one of the wormeries & then trimmed the hedge. I gathered up the the greenery & we used the grass clippings to half fill the last 2 plastic garden bags (off the roll) which have been sealed & put in a corner to be left to their own devices for a year or two 😂 We then spent 2 hours emptying one of our large compost bins into sturdy garden bags removing as much plastic, knicker elastic, coconut shells & lumps of concrete & large stones as possible. The rubbish filled a carrier bag which has been binned 🥳 We now have four sturdy garden bags each 3 quarters full of mostly really good compost & stones/pebbles + have topped up the small raised bed & I have topped up the five potato bags which each have at least one potato plant 🥳We left about 6” of compost in the bottom of the bin - fully turned & teeming with worms, pea bugs & the ubiquitous ants. The compost will be sifted as & when to be used for the table top bed when I have something to plant 😉 The roast dinner I was going to make has been put back to tomorrow & DH is making cheesy pasta for tonight 👏

2 Freeglers turned up at 5 - one helped the other carry stuff to her car which I thought was lovely.
I have a Freegler coming to collect wall tiles tomorrow lunchtime.
I think that I have done at least half of the garage now.
I am going shopping with my DD tomorrow. I have ordered some new bedding.
I have a bag of fabric recycling ready to take to the SA tomorrow and 1 odd shoe!

Went into London yesterday, miles of walking in the rain but did get to meet a friend in Hyde Park and saw the fly past and then to a friends for drinks and food. Decided have to get myself out of muddle. So bit done in the garden, flitting between it and other things but took 3 bags ro donation hub mainly from my dad's, golfing waterproofs, walking boots, foot cosy for.mobility scooter ( I think) jars from mine and household stuff, 17 old medications back to pharmacy, 3 lots of seeds sowed, card written and stamped and 2 email frogs, few things posted on free and sales sites but lots more needed. Dd1 not well and given antibiotics at a/e and has to follow up tomorrow , going to hers Tues to help with pip assessment. Tomorrow going to get some work out the way so I can help her. Also ironed a few things ( summer clothes as don't iron winter ones) took kitchen bin outside and scrubbed inside and our. Going to guesstimate 640.
Sorry only read post quickly but hope people doing as well as they can. X19 -

Dinner was delicious & DH used up the last bits of several cheeses 🤤 Most of the pans & dishes are in soak & I will do the wudupa later. DSis & I are watching last night’s BGT & have just seen a brilliant singer + Ant & Dec’s Golden Buzzer pick 🙂

weenancy, sorry to hear that Friday was such a depressing day 😔 Everything crossed that Saturday & Sunday have both been better 🤞You deserve it 😊 Hopefully your roommate Di will be swiftly diagnosed & given appropriate medication 🤞Did you manage to get her signed up to MediCare? Good luck with the decluttering 🍀 Sending lots of positive vibes that your friends can pitch in even if only for an hour each 😊 as well as your roommates doing as much as they can 🤞Definitely thankful that it wasn’t the Trumps 😂 Also sending you gentle hugs 🤗
florianatwobob, thanks for the extra information/reminder about getting a ‘stairs assessment’ 👏
Dfw38, wow you definitely were recharged after watching the Coronation 🤩 Great work in DS’s bedroom especially getting so much done in an hour 👏 I agree that it so easy for bedrooms to get messy especially if you have a DH who leaves dirty clothing on the floor instead of putting it in the laundry bag 😅
bit_by_bit, sounds like you had a very busy Saturday 🙂 Pleased to hear that DD is on the mend 🙂 & also that DH & MiL helped out by making soup 🙂 Sounds like your Coronation party was a great success 👏 Isn’t it lovely that all your prep made the day a calm one for you 🥳
Florenceem, hopefully all the stuff for the Tip was taken by SIL 🤞Those cheese puffs look so delicious 🤤 Do you have a recipe please 🙏
Losing concentration now, so will post this but may be back later 😉I have done the wudupa 🙂
