Rained overnight here. DGS J is booked to do my back garden today so hope it is not too wet for him.
More Freegling happening - I am gradually getting stuff out from the garage.
More numbers added to my total today.
Stuff on the driveway is increasing.

Morning all, booked another tip run for today so 2 in total this afternoon. Will be glad to see the back of the piles we have created this weekend. I have a feeling I will need to do another 2 tip runs possibly to completely clear the stuff we piled but hopefully after today there will be a big dent in the amount. Couldn't sleep last night so feel exhausted, going to try and get lots of little bits done to keep me occupied this afternoon so the tiredness is kept at bay. It is our busy night tonight with kids clubs so must keep going 🫡. Hope you all have a lovely day.2024 decluttering Campaign

Nothing to report much but having been reading along. Busy weekend as children here but watched main bits of coronation and went to small gathering - indoors as too wet. Children seem to have decluttered vast amounts of food. Today I am determined to do some cleaning and sorting and hopefully declutter things on the way round.

Morning xx
After yesterday's dewebbing session, I unearthed my hand held hoover and went round all the visible skirting boards and the visible edges of the floor where the dust bunnies gather on laminate flooring in the living room. It looks sooo much better. 😊
P told me yesterday that I have 90% more living room floor than I once had. This made me stop and look, and appreciate how far I've come. I tend to only see what I haven't done yet. 🙈
I'm not at work this week so the plan is to continue to clear the living room floor. (Priority 1 of Priority 1). I can do this.

Back to normality today after the long weekend. Spent the weekend at the country park, decluttering cobwebs from head. Then yesterday went into the attic. I wish I hadn't. It is FULL of cobwebs, and general bags of nonsense. But we sold our house and I now have three months approximately to pack everything up. I ordered some medium sized boxes, and by the end of the day I had packed precisely two of them with things from the attic that I actually want to keep.
Declutter so far:
From the 'main' part of the house: 15 points.
Teapot and six mugs - donation box. I made a cup of tea in the teapot, because I had a small bag of Golden Monkey, but as it turns out.... I don't like tea from a teapot. It gets stronger, and I don't like my tea too strong. So even though I have carried the teapot from house to house for the last 20 years, it's time for it to go.
Empty glass coffee jar - recycling. I usually keep them to put things in, such as dishwasher tabs, but I have Yankee candle jars for this and they're bigger.
Empty glass candle receptacle - recycling. I don't actually know the word for this. I was keeping it because it was square, but it is useless really. Not deep enough for a vase.
Fake plant - donation box. No idea why we have this.
Cleared out the tool bag - one bag for the bin of miscellaneous screws, rusty bits of metal, random rawl plugs etc etc.
One book - donation box. Finally finished it.
Three things sold on Vinted - posted today.
From the attic: 20 points
Two massive builders sack rubbish bags - out with the rubbish collection this morning. Broken nightlights, packaging, dead plants, lots and lots of sentimental paper, etc etc. 5 points each.
150 slides. - Bin. I spent ages digitising these yesterday evening, and it was worth going through as I found some photos of my parent's wedding I hadn't seen before, and a photo of the inside of my grandparent's greengrocer's shop that I also hadn't seen before, among other lovely things. It made me very emotional, but it felt right to let go... most of them. I kept my absolute favourites in a mini kilner jar, and put them in one of my packed boxes. Slides are like floppy discs, the teenage stepdaughter had NO idea what they were but was absolutely fascinated. I'm giving myself 10 points here, because it was actually surprisingly difficult.
35/365 things out. Woo. Not a bad start, at any rate. I think I'm just under 10% of the way.
Also, I don't know if this will help anyone, but it really helped me. I found a thing called Crow Journals which is where you get a notebook, a glue stick or sellotape, and then stick in all the little bits of paper that your brain is hoarding, for no real reason. Net result = no more random scraps of paper all over the house, and one cohesive place for them all. I had a blue moleskin in my drawers that I was never going to use for anything else, and spent an hour yesterday gluing in all my newspaper cuttings of books I wanted to read, or quotes I liked, or admissions tickets from things I went to, as well as using up lots of stickers. I will post an example below x.❀ debt at highest point: £51,062.14 ❀❁ currently - £32,019.56 ❁ emergency fund - £252.66/£500 ❁----------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I did get dressed eventually 😉 but did no decluttering - apart from various programmes from the TV planner including 3 episodes of Perry Mason, 5 episodes of GoT & 2 episodes of Chicago Med. It was overcast all day so I was not tempted to do anything in the garden even though it stayed dry until about 22:30. DH got home about 18:30 - sunny all day whilst he was riding around. Unfortunately the top box on the Goldwing is now completely broken so DH has had to order spare parts which will hopefully arrive later in the week. I cooked a full roast dinner - pork with crackling, roast potatoes, parsnips, sweet potatoes & carrots, Yorkshire puddings & cabbage. DH made a very tasty gravy 🤤 Wudupa. For once I had no los apart from some pork & the gravy which will be used as a soup base tomorrow 🙂
1128 - 1129 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled

Tuesday is another overcast day & I was up & dressed by 8:30 😔 Woken up by a toothache - typical as I only visited the dentist last Wednesday. I have taken Ibuprofen & will see if it settles over the next few days 🤞 Forgot to mention that when DH & I emptied the compost bin we used 2 large pieces of cardboard which I had kept for my friends Justin, May B Handy & Ron 🤣
1131 - 1132 Cardboard used
Great work roundtuit 👏 Loved the reference to Miss Haversham decor 😂 You earned your medal 🎖️so it is confirmed 🙂
~FlowerPot~, I agree that it was grittier…….. yet somehow also more saccharine 🤢 - I thought I was going mad as the ending wasn’t as I expected or remembered 😉 I investigated & it would appear that CD wrote 2 different endings so not only did I learn something new, I also realised that I would have preferred his original bleaker ending not the mainstream version 😂 Overall a huge letdown 😔 Good work tackling a frog & well done on listening to your mum 😉👏
Yet another busy day Florenceem 👏 Sorry to hear that you have had to order a new freezer - more expense when you really don’t need it 😔 Good news though that the Freeglers are picking up so much stuff 😊
2Scratters, well done on sorting the DWP frog 👏 Might I suggest that you not only keep a copy but also send it back by recorded delivery. Pleased to hear that you enjoyed the wedding 😊 Although rather concerned about your DH & i hope that you can get an urgent doctor’s appointment 🙏
Dfw38 sometimes lots of cake is just perfect 😉 Very well done to DH for parting with so much - your decluttering is obviously working it’s way into his psyche 😊 As an encouragement I am awarding your DH another medal 🏅 Monday’s cooked breakfast in a cafe, sounds wonderful 😊 Hopefully DD1 was just as happy as her siblings 🤞 The 8 man tent sounds huge - you might have to get a bigger car 😉😂 Good luck clearing the shed 🍀
Well done florianatwobob 👏 Fingers crossed that DBro’s niche books earn lots more pennies 🤞
Wow ~FlowerPot~ that hm lemon curd looks way nicer than shop bought 🤤 When I saw your photo I could almost taste it & was happily imagining lemon meringue pie 😊
Deni_debt-free_dreamer - demolishing a decrepit garden shed sounds like fun 🤩 I hope you & your friend enjoyed yourselves 🤞Is the wood being taken to the Tip or is it being collected? Hopefully you can find a tree surgeon without too much trouble 🤞
I like your shoe rack Florenceem 🙂
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏
Well done on getting your broadband back diminua 👏 Although I was a bit surprised to read that BT were so quick to disconnect you in the first place 🤔 Fingers crossed that you get your back pay now that you have put in a complaint 🤞Keep up the good work with decluttering books & clothing 👏
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 Hopefully working from DD1’s place is quieter & less stressful 🤞
Bottom of a page so will stop for a while 😉 + the sun is finally out 🥳

Like the journal. @foxandflowers
Inspired by your reference to dust bunnies @roundtuit and now off to pull settee out as I can see dust and tat under there when I sit across the room. Slow start but a few frogs tackled (tadpoles really) - I have three hours left before I need to go out. Third lot of washing ready for the line - at least it has stopped raining.

602 Ordered Tesco vouchers - £7 in vouchers = £21 towards my senior railcard (£30) due next month. In diary for 30 days before expiry date. They will be worth less next time. Discovered my Tesco account had an old phone number - only moved out of that house 24 years ago!

Nothing out over the weekend - de cluttered a hospital appointment and had social time with friends and family instead. Back to it today and have started with some tidying followed by an admin frog.
Six weeks left to get it all finished.14
