Small box of very random but new bits to charity shop, chap didn't look impressed and asked what it was. Bric a brac. "Oh right" he said unenthusiastically, but he took it.I'm going to celebrate the coronation by doing some more decluttering.Magnolia Stellata16

To be honest 2nd dd would be happy with any princess Mrs SD but I know that sleeping beauty is her favourite one. I am trying to go above and beyond for her because she always fits around everyone and never complains and is one of the kindest kids I have known (I know I am biased 😆) she has her own struggles (selective mutism) but never lets anything get her down and is a real trooper. Also a stubborn and determined little thing and certainly not to be underestimated!
So this week I have managed to book the hall, the princess, got the plates etc, cake topper and started getting food like breadsticks, crisps and sausage rolls and cocktail sausages (to be cooked on the day). Trying to spread the cost as birthday isn't until July but don't want to add more financial pressure to dh.
Woke up this morning feeling completely unmotivated but thought I would set myself a challenge to see if I could find 100 things to get rid of today and managed: 85. Mainly clothes (donate rather than vinted) a few books and put a bag of my old barbies in my tip pile. Let dds choose 1 each ( out of the good pile) and the rest have gone (most were fit for the bin) although have kept the clothes and accessories. Have also shredded a bag of dad's paperwork. Barely made a dent in what is still here, which feels incredible considering how easy it was when I got going. 6 fence panels have been finished, the weather hasn't been with me then latter part of the week. Going to relax now and try and have a weekend off and scoff cake and watch the coronation. Hope you all have a lovely weekend. 🤴🇬🇧2024 decluttering Campaign

Great news on G @Mrs_Salad_Dodger
Ooooh brave Mr Fizz. I hope all goes well with his new endeavours @Fizz2015
@2Scratters - Those little things mean so much. I have an old 'magic' wallet that was my Dads. I treasure this above the jewellery he left. I use it too. If an item represented huis personality this would be it.
So popping in now as I am just about to go to bed after preparing downstairs for the multipurpose party tomorrow, two birthdays and the coronation.Bunting is up, candles prepared and clutter cleared. Paper and plastic cups, plates and cutlery placed out. Flowers arranged. Just got to get all the food to the table for 12 tomorrow.
Unfortunately DH has hurt his knee so much he can't walk without a stick. Don't know how he did it but getting up and down is very hard for him. He isn't going to be much help. DD and SiL coming in the morning but should be here now . Both have been sick.
Looking forward to a lie in on Sunday I can tell you.

Good morning all. When I woke up - I was planning in my head how the garage will look when I have sorted it out. There will be room in there to put the stuff from Mil's flat that Mr F thinks may be for auction. I am so enthused even though I ache this morning after yesterday's gardening and sorting in the garage.
My SA aren't opening to show the coronation - I would have gone there to watch as I don't have a TV. My old Church is screening it - I may go or just see highlights on You Tube when it gets on there.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Been outside and someone has taken the chair that I put on the drive and cut off the long cable on the mower. A friend just drove by and saw the mower and has taken it. I can easily find more stuff for the tip run on Sunday. I have people coming to collect items on Freegle today. Just found a 1970s electric hand mixer in the garage - given it a bit of a clean and it is on Freegle.

Up and about. Awful thunderstorms last night but overcast and dry now. Children are going to make cakes for our little local do tonight. As no dishwasher there will be lots of washing up.
597 Cancelled Am**** Prime from 1 June as I do not use it except for a couple of parcels a year. the other things they offer like groceries etc are not available where we live. I have a couple of other things to cancel as well when I have checked them out.
598 Started the day with a frog - answering a complex data protection query for one of my societies.
I am recording the coronation as I will probably dip in and out today. I can watch it properly later.

So much going on.
@Florenceem is there a social worker at the hospital? Hopefully they will send Mr F to a rehabilitation ward and from there arrange the care he needs at home. It used to be a hospital/ nhs/ council team who would provide care at home to establish what's needed and then hand over to local carers and teams but in recent years they're so stretched that it can be the loa agency and team and be very realistic better to start with too much support and reduce than not have enough.
@Dfw38 so impressed with setting a target so high and others doing so much. I am still umming and arhng over a couple or tops I was debating last year and probably the year before.
Hope all goes for those wirh parties and plans this weekend and wishing those poorly speedy recovery.18
