Back again 😉 The first load of washing is out on the whirligig (even though the sun has vanished 😔) Second load is in. Shopping list written & DH went to sm about 12:45 + I have dealt with my post 🙂
QueenJess, I see the world of the declutterati became very busy after you posted 😂 Hopefully being busy at work will mean work time flies by 🤞 Excellent work decluttering & keeping up with the day to day tidying 👏 It does sometimes feel that the house “descends into chaos” but the 23 minute method does seem to alleviate the situation rather well 🙂
Brie, sorry to hear that boats are not your friend (or Fizz2015) 😔 I seem to remember reading somewhere that the bigger the boat/ship the less likely you are to suffer from seasickness - so fingers crossed that your cruise next year will not be blighted 🤞
Good luck with the shed dismantling & disposal, Pixie_Cosmo 🍀 Working full time is definitely detrimental to decluttering 😉😅 Hopefully reading along will help in finding the motivation & energy (if not the time) to do 5 to 10 minute bursts of tidying & defence against clutter coming in 🤞 A very apt description “it’s a plod really” 👏
Wow Wednesday2000, that is a lot of walking 🤩 About 10 times more than I usually do 😅 Great decluttering 👏 Sounds like you are making full use of your free trial of Netflix 😊 Just looked up the Gilmore Girls & seen that there is some nice eye candy 😂
Florenceem, sounds like you had a lovely & busy afternoon 😊 Beautiful photos & now 2 ships 🤩 Re the unexpected gift, I will say nothing more than that I agree with all those who have commented 🙂
Craving_Space, don’t forget the often overlooked friend “Ron” (as in ‘I will deal with that later on’😂)
Lovely sentiments Floss, Brie & -taff 😊
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏 I love the idea of mutilating the Buddleia bush 😉 & hopefully the rose bush will now thrive 🤞It will be nice to see your DGS 😊
Page finished, so will post & see you all later 👋

Hi, welcome foxandflowers. Let’s start with a telling off. Get that breast clinic questionnaire done and returned pronto. 🦊💐Apart from that gruff welcome you will find great companionship in your decluttering journey here. ❤️
Thank you blue _ doggy for the suggestion for my Dad’s baby nightdresses. I have heard of the charity before. They are not taking donations now until next year. I don’t think what I have would be suitable. One is silk and in poor condition, the other two are cotton and just probably not suitable for a modern parent. I will post a picture.
We are just on the way home from visiting Mr and Mrs bit by bit. In Matlock Bath atm. I am sure you and Mr SD have visited Mrs SD. It is a biker destination. Every where is looking so lush dressed in new green leaves, helped by lovely sunshine.Good wishes for any one who needs them. Vx:19 -
Just drowning under a big pile of work at the moment
Not at all enjoyable. I'm trying to take regular short breaks for my sanity and in those run round and do something in the house so I don't get too behind. At least I am working through my pile of scrap paper as I think on paper... lots of notes being made! I shall be allocating DH a massive to do list from my list later for his day off tomorrow. He even threatened to start the garage decluttering (99.9999% his stuff), but apparently he needs me to help, so he'll have to wait

My husband took the bag with the books and a picture I didn't want to the chazzer today.
When I looked at our clothes we both had a couple of tops with stains/holes in them, but I said to hang on to them as it is helpful to wear old tops as we both colour our hair at home. My real hair is naturally lighter and my husband's hair is almost completely grey now naturally!:)2025 GOALS

Typing in Notes at 16:00 :- DH got back from sm & I put away all the shopping + wrote a 4 day menu plan to take account of ys purchases 😉 The 2nd load of washing is hung out - even though it looked like it might rain 😥 However the sun is out again 🙂 Third load of washing done but as I have run out of pegs it is in the td. I want to be able to fold & put everything away today 😉 well that is my excuse & I am sticking to it 😂 DH left about 15:45 to visit G as he has not seen her in just over a week. Now to have another catch up session 😉
Florenceem, hope you slept well 😊 & you too Fizz2015 😊
vulpix, Excellent decluttering & spring cleaning of the spare bedroom 👏 Hope you are enjoying today’s visit with bit_by_bit 😊 How exciting that you are going on a trip together & as early as next month 🥳What a nice haul from the CS 😊 & good luck with the weight loss 🍀
Lucky you carolbee 😊
Excellent decluttering bit_by_bit 👏 Hope you are enjoying today’s visit with vulpix 😊 No Coronation party here (as DH is not much of a royalist) 😔 but I will probably watch some of it on the TV 😉
Lovely supportive post TC77 😊 Excellent decluttering, tidying & dealing with frogs 👏 Hmm decluttering in place of eating 🤔 I might have to give that idea some serious consideration 😉
2Scratters, some good advice to Muddy_Walker 👏
Excellent decluttering Soontobeoap 👏 Your bin men work late 😱 sorry 🙃
Another busy morning Florenceem 👏
Thank you GrannyKate 😊 Nice to hear that your visit to DD’s was so lovely up until the time of your son in law’s accident 🤕 So relieved for him & all of you that he was not badly injured 😮💨 Really do not know what to say about the driver’s ‘excuse’ 😞 😖 Well done to your DD for fitting into her jeans 👏 & what a lovely bonus - £50 🥳 Not the way to declutter - only pets are ‘allowed’ to declutter by breaking things 😂
Well said Florenceem 🙂
2Scratters, I am very impressed that you not only sorted out all the cards & envelopes but you also did it so quickly 👏 Your ‘decluttering & tidying ‘gene’ is strong’ 🙂
What a lovely suggestion Blue_Doggy 😊 although tinged with sadness at the need for such a service 😔
I have managed 2 x 23 minute sessions but my concentration is starting to waver, so I will post, find something to do & come back in a little while 🙂

Back from seeing Mr F - he was anxious - thought he was being transferred. Spoke to Sister and a Dr - they are starting a discharge procedure. I need to speak to the Psychiatry Dept as he is not on an anti depressant and needs one to lift his mood. They are saying that he doesn't need a Psychiatry bed but can be treated at home. He is not walking properly yet so needs to go somewhere to get him fitter.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Thursday whoop! What a week ….. sadly no alcohol with the trifle….too much medication. I used to drink squaddies under the table and have no hangover, now one wine spritzer and I’m fast asleep in a corner 🤣
I might phone my bank tomorrow- need many spoons for that - as my card doesn’t work.Cut the front lawn yesterday and tidied a couple of edges. I always leave the trimmings cos a. I’m lazy b. The wind blows it all away c. It protects the cut grass underneath for a bit.
tomorrow is a busy day and I want to get some scones jam and clotted cream ready to watch the coronation on sat 😊 dog2 is having a hair cut and dog1 is much better and more lively. Still got the cone on as she has a wound left the size of a 2p. I have bruises up my legs from the cone and they really hurt!!!!!
MrsF has the hospital actually come up with a diagnosis for Mr F? You really don’t want a repeat of what happened….

Muddy_Walker - not actually said a diagnosis - but erring towards a breakdown caused the seizures.
Someone took the wooden bedside chest of drawers from my drive.
2 Freeglers collected items.
I think the bin men will not be pleased when they see how much I have put out for them on my drive.
DGS has brought his strimmer to tackle my grass tomorrow. He is a good lad - helped me get my paper recycling out and pulled my bin up the drive + carried a heavy box down from the office - I could just about carry it but didn't want to risk the stairs.
Been to lock up at SA.

Welcome @foxandflowers
Lovely name by the way.
All the best for a decent discharge for Mr F @Florenceem Discharge planning often starts a good time before discharge. There should be an assessment re mobility and home e.g. stairs, personal care etc. I agree that plan needs to be forthcoming re long term mental health support. You have to be pretty bad to get in a mental health hopsital these days. A friend of mine is in a London hospital right now because there were no beds near us.
I had a lovely visit with Mr and Mrs vulpix today. I always feel cheered when I spend time with them.
Before they came I popped into the CS with four bags. 3 in and out and 1 of my own.
After their visit a trip to the tip with a 2 bags of hard plastic electronic type toys and things with batteries, all in and outs. There were 5 whole child sized battery operated cards and bikes in that skip. Also 1 large item, another in and out (vacuum cleaner) and finally a bag of hard plastics of mine. This incuded the top of a water tank, plastic bins and buckets, broken toys.
The side of my house is clearer and the car empty so v. pleased.
@vulpix is a very good influence: I dealt with a health frog and posted driving licence applicatons for my Sis and Niece. Another productive day.
Also did a bi food shop for out weekend gathering. Can't stand the idea of being in the scrum tomorrow night.
Got childcare tomorrow so not expecting to do too much.Wife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor.
