@Fizz2015
Florenceem that ship looks great and reminds me of the pirate ship in Brixham. I like boats but they don't like me. The waverly is doing trips around South Wales and the Somerset coast line which I love to do but I get very bad sea sickness unfortunately. Though I did manage a trip around Sandbanks and Brownsea Island last night after dosing up first.
I agree with you Fizz - it's a beautiful boat and boats don't much like me either. When we take a cruise next year it will be a test of my stomach or the tablets I take!!!
And you're in Poole area!! @Mrs_Salad_Dodger you have been busy. No new shed. Still got another shed to empty, break up and tip. It's falling down anyway. It's at my partner's house. Same situation as me - inherited a house full of 'stuff' and it's finding the time and motivation to declutter. We both work full time, it's a plod really! Everyone on here is inspiring :-)17

It is a lovely sunny day here today. I got in a lot of steps walking to and from my appointment today so I'm almost at 13,000 steps already. I have put six unwanted paperback books in a bag to take to the charity shop tomorrow morning.:)
I haven't got much else on today so I'm just going to watch more of the TV show Gilmore Girls while we have the free trial of Netflix. I have been powering through it and I'm on the second to last series now.
I did order some basics from Asda like leggings for me and plain black t-shirts for my husband so I will look through our wardrobes to see if I can find anything to add to the donation bag.16 -
Walked into town - posted letters and took unused medication to Chemist and bags of stuff to the charity shop.
Went to friendship/lunch club - lot of people there and a great meal so no cooking for me tonight.
I was given an envelope - anonymous - £50 - to help in my present troubles - person who handed it to me knows who it is from and that I wouldn't want to accept it. I will speak to her about it on Friday.
Walked to Home B and Ald. but bus home as it is hilly here to drag a heavy shopping trolley. Now we have 2 beautiful ships in the harbour - bit like buses - wait ages for one and two arrive.

Florenceem you may not want to accept it, but why not see it as a loan and when your circumstances are more settled you can "repay" by donating to either the SA, foodbank or another worthy cause?2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Had a sit down then tackled the second shelf in the utility cupboard - 64 items went out of the house.
Then I went outside and mutilated my Buddleia bush - it was overpowering a rose bush and encroaching on next door's garden.
My eldest DGS is coming to chop and bag the cut branches ready for the tip run on Sunday. It was quite cold outside cutting the bush.
Just washing up to do and that is it for me today.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

@Floss - a very sensible idea.
@Florenceem - you have, no doubt, helped lots of people over the years who didn't at that time want the assistance but likely were very grateful for it in truth. It's better to give than receive and all that but where there is a giver there's got to be a receiver. Or like Floss suggests you can always pay it forward.

@Florenceem another vote for just take it for the time being until all bills and accounts are sorted out so you don't have to struggle, or to ease the numerous taxi and bus trips. As above, it can be repaid or passed on when you have finished this chapter.@Mrs_Salad_Dodger my condolences but glad you had a good trip...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi17
