Brie - I don't think it is anything to do with his normal medication - he only takes a diuretic tablet once a day
The medication he was prescribed last Thursday - has the effect of making you feel worse before better. If he is out of the office - just thinking and blank - when he attempts to be in the office - he breaks down. Just not coping with the work pressure for a long time I think.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

We had to sort out the half shed to be able to get the new rocking chair in until the blue furniture wings it’s way to Oxfordshire. Some more things listed on local thrift sites.Hope they go soon. They are in the garden , covered. A massive computer in a massive flight case is being given to a radio station Mr V works for. Space in the half shed is needed for more amps, speakers etc which are currently in mil’s garage. Gawd it’s just a giant game of Tetris.Vx:17

SoontobeOAP - The baby cardigan is really pretty.
Lovely colours.
Vulpix - I'm sure the chest of drawers and rocking chair will be well appreciated. They look lovely and being proper wood will last for ages. Big fan of second hand furniture is - quite suprising sometimes where you end up buying things second hand - I've ended up in some ridiculously posh places too on occasion - and some not posh but fantatic houses. I remember going to pick up a freebie from a house which looked normal from the and the owners had built a fabulous full height modern extension. Utterly stunning. You don't get that in ikea.

Decluttered DS for a short inter-railing trip. He left the house at just gone 6am this morning and I woke up ridiculously early too so I've been quite out of it today. Had a little trip to Rochester again this afternoon on the look out for colourful items for my wardrobe - only found one things - a raspberry- coloured pair of skinny jeans (Joules) . i've never wore anything other than black or grey skinny jeans so I wouldn't be surprised it these get re-donated soon. But they only cost £1 so worth a try .

Hi all, I have spent 10 hours today on a union thing. I am cream crackered. I only had 1 half hour break to cook and eat my tea but finally got it finished at 7pm, I am not sure if there will be more work connected to this as it is quite complicated but I am hoping my part is done. I am claiming 2 for this as it was full on. Absolutely nothing else done except a phone call to a friend this evening. 4 other things left on my to do list will have to be done tomorrow plus pick up my meds for my b12jab on Saturday.
@Florenceem can you ask someone to help you as you really seem to have a lot to cope with hugs
Falling asleep so off to bed now. Hugs to everyone who would like one
566 - 567 union thing
Take care everyone

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday: I woke up at 7:45, put my dressing gown on & went downstairs for my first cuppa. Roused DH out of bed 10:20 with a coffee. Wrote shopping list for DH. He had his first walk 12:00 to 13:35, went to sm 14:15. We packed everything away & had a late lunch of a bowl each of hm soup 😋 DH went out about 18:00 for his 2nd shorter walk of about 2,500 steps. I made dinner of sausages, mash, chopped tomatoes & baked beans. Wudupa. My MMiM was to sort out the pot of old pre Euro coins & odd coins picked up over the years - about 300 coins. The 2nd MMiM was writing birthday cards - July’s now done. Will continue tomorrow.

Siebrie, what a marvellously productive Wednesday afternoon 😊 Hopefully DD2 is back on track with her education & she will enjoy the rest of her schooling 🤞 With all the support she has from you, her teachers & the child psychologist, DD2 now has an excellent start to the next stage of her education 👏I am very pleased that you have finally decided to give yourself some TLC by booking your 1st physiotherapy appointment 😊 Excellent news that your Architect has found a builder for your revised downstairs renovations. I will keep everything crossed that the builder agrees to do the work & also that the mortgage offer has been extended 🤞
bit_by_bit, I am very pleased that the coins can be made use of 🙂 Excellent decluttering on both Wednesday & Thursday 👏
Great work Crazycatlady2 👏 Hope the weather is good for the ‘Great Shed Project’ 🤞
Dfw38, I agree with Siebrie that “it sounds a lovely way to go”. Thank you so much for sharing such personal details, I was very moved. What a lovely & compassionate way to look at your great loss. I can see why you & your brother get on so well 😊
charlies_tribe, you must be exhausted taking care of a 12 month old 😪 Well done on the work you have done in the conservatory 👏 I hope it was just your pride that was dented & not your body when the boxes decided to attack you 🤞😉
QueenJess, disintegrating plastic bags sounds rather yucky 🤢
Great work Deni_debt-free_dreamer 👏 Boo to inconsiderate workmen 😔
charlies_tribe, hopefully the clothes haven’t disintegrated along with the black bags 🤞
Deni_debt-free_dreamer - better disintegrated plastic bags than mice 🥳
Lovely supportive post, Brie 😊
vulpix, I hope it was just the black bags that didn’t survive & that the dolls house is intact 🤞 I suppose the advantage of a rocking chair from such a grand house is that it should be a quality item of furniture 😉 Surely it should have been Born To Be Wild 😂 Great decluttering 👏 There be treasures in the pantry 😊
Florenceem, so very sorry to hear that MrF is in such a bad way 😞 Please try to get an appointment with the doctor for you as you need to be fighting fit until MrF starts to improve 🙏 Is there anyone who can help out? perhaps someone from the SA 😊
Brie, hope OH can get his meds sorted 🤞 Having nightmares is not conducive to getting a good nights sleep 😔
Good decluttering bit_by_bit 👏
Lots of hugs coming your way Florenceem - for you & MrF 🤗
vulpix, good luck with the half-shed Tetris 🍀
Lovely post skogar 😊
EnergyShifter, if I could get into a pair of skinny jeans I wouldn’t care what colour they were 🤣 Good work completing tasks 👏 Hope DS enjoys his inter-railing experience 🤞
Liverpool_Anne, I think you should have claimed 10 - one for each hour devoted to union work 😉
Off to bed now. Hugs for all 🤗

And I’m back from being AWOL/in the TLC carriage. I do hope that everyone is OK, I’ve been rather preoccupied so haven’t been keeping up but hugs to those who need them and congratulations to all on what they’ve achieved.
Where have I been?
Due to first Brexit and then Covid stalling my attempt to sell my smallholding here in France I decided back in January to delve into my savings and make a trip to the UK in March to see my children – I last saw them just before the first lockdown.
But as luck would have it, mid-February I had a viewing which in the space of a couple of weeks became an offer. The race was then on to get to the first signing of the sale contract before I navigated my way through train strikes in two countries on my UK trip. It went down to the wire trying to get the paperwork in place but it happened. 😁
Then came the 2 week cooling off period, (I can’t withdraw from the sale but the purchaser has the option to). It has been good that this period coincided with my holiday as it's stopped a lot of stressing. I am told that this period has passed so apart from a possible get-out clause, I am sold and the purchaser is pushing to complete in 3 months! 😲
Things are about to get manic but it’s going to feel so good getting rid of all the old stuff that I’ve kept going because I didn’t want to buy new and then feel that I had to transport to the UK. I also want to buy new stuff in the UK where I will have a UK guarantee etc.
I’m still a bit shell shocked to be honest. There are going to be many trips to the tip and I have to sell what I can sell, charity shop what I can’t and somehow find a removal company even though I’ve not yet got a completion date.
But I’m very happy. I’ve loved my time in France but it’s now time to move closer to my children.
This forum both this year and in it’s previous incarnations has been so good for me helping me to begin to figure out what I want in life so thank you all. 👏
Let the next adventure begin!
