Hi all,
@Dfw38, so sorry to hear about your Dad and as others have said please be kind to yourself. My lovely Dad died 35 years ago but I still remember how I felt and even though it was expected it was still very hard, hugs
Today I have been busy with "things" . I sent a text about a union thing and arranged to call on Friday when I know I will have time to deal with it, forms to fill in etc. The recipient seemed ok about that but then sent an email to someone else, who doesn't deal with this matter but she then phoned me to ask if I could call sooner. She called at 5.30 and I was going out at 6.30. I explained the calls and forms usually take about 3 hours so I would try to call sometime tomorrow. I think what the person wants is going to involve a visit in person rather than a phone call so I will probably be doing that tomorrow. As it happens I will be able to as the celebration lunch has been postponed due to unforseen circumstances, I will try to rearrange it in a couple of weeks after Easter, not possible before then, very frustrating
.
I have also spoken to a lovely lady in India about my estimated energy bills, she was kind enough to put me on the vulnerable register as I am over 65 and have long term health issues but all she could say was that they are not able to access the readings on the smart meters atm and no idea when it will be sorted out. Might as well unplug it then if it's just using electricity and not doing it's job. She asked me to send my readings in via the website. I was going to do that today but got sidetracked by other "things" .
I have booked some accommodation for our trip to Derbyshire for the hawk walk. The hotel I found yesterday was full today but I found another one only 4 miles away that was £50 cheaper so no worries. Money decluttered.
We went out for tea and met up with our friend and her son who was away at sea but now has a new job ashore and is loving it. He invited us to his house on Easter Monday for food and a small gathering
.
When we got home I had another gazillion text messages to deal with from various people about "things" .. So absolutely nothing decluttered today and it's not looking like I will get much done tomorrow
. Oh just remembered 1 new soap into the bathroom
OH has been eating it again
@Vulpix those eggs made by FiL do sound amazing.. The ex colleague is not relocating atm, he's planning on commuting as he says it's only 45 mins up the mway. He currently lives in Standish and his wife works in a local school. As for Ofsted inspectors after going through a few inspections I would say most are ok, some are lovely but some are really horriblr. I always took the attitude that they can't do anything to me my Mum hasn't already done
. Though I would like an equivalent inspection system to be put in place for MPs. I think quite a few would be put into special measures, but they would probably just retire on their very fat pensions and then pop up again either in the house of lords or on the board of directors of some company. I may be being cynical though
@2Scratters, great result on the freezer and the paint
@Brie, I would tell the gardeners that you struggled to lift the grass clippings, that really is their job, especially with your back problems.
Hugs to everyone who would like one, off to sleep now

I've not posted for a while, but read regularly & am most impressed by everyone's progress.
I have been decluttering a few medical appointments recently, breast screening and dentist with another trip to the dentist in 3 weeks for a filling. I've implemented a new budget and it was nice to be able to pay that bill up front out of my "health" pot!
