Well I'm about 50 pages and two weeks behind on this thread. I'm not sure if I'm going to try and catch up reading or just skip forward but the longer I leave it the worse it's going to get 🙃
Anyway still a slow progress with the decluttering but it all counts.

Hi all, after very little sleep last night for some unknown reason I was woken early by OH who had managed to get locked out! I am now on my 3rd cup of tea and trying to stop myself falling asleep. I have arranged to visit ex line manager next Tuesday for a chat. This is the one who I was so worried about so I am very pleased he has got to a stage he feels he can talk to me rather than just text
.
Right off to do something
Take care everyone15 -

Hello!
Mrs SD I am so glad I could help hubby! People always remember glucose (jelly babies) and never think about salt.
Forgotten who it was (I also use my phone so can’t go back) but yesterday caught myself putting the sugar in the fridge and the milk in the cupboard…..about 10 secs later thought hang on…..🤣
having to make notes about possible side effects from my treatment - am always cold now, ravenous and weee lots even though I’m fully hydrated….. used to wearing T-shirts and thin leggings even in mid winter, forgetting to eat and drinking over 2L of water with no problems. I have a check up in June but can always contact my team if needed. They do remind me but I tend to shove it all in the back of my mind and crack on. My own worst enemy at times!
decluttering yesterday - my patience with a work colleague..paper for shredding..recycling and rubbish out..general housework and dog 1 decluttered lots of fur at the groomers.
decluttering today - MRI scan
Off for a snooze…..feeling a bit sorry for myself! Need to man up…⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

Mr F has gone to take the 4 bags of stuff that were lingering in the hall - to the charity shop - first dry day that he was able to do it. Cold but sunny here.
I am working on some crafting. I can be indoors until after 6 when I need to go to SA.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Saturday 11:00 & it is a lovely sunny day but still very chilly. Sadly still no sign of my milk & eggs so I ‘very reluctantly’ created an online account in order to make a complaint, only to discover that I didn’t need to create an account & could just have messaged my milkman 😞 🙄 Oh well, now I just need to remember to use the Portal in future rather than leave a note 😉 I suppose I should really try to move into the 21st century at some point 😅 although I do know that my milkman really dislikes the Dairy’s digital system 😉 Anyway line firmly drawn.
No plans for the day, so straight into cheerleading
Great work on your frog tickling, Foofoopuppy 👏 Well done on spending time in the TLC Carriage now just need the boost of warm weather to get your energy levels up 😊
Interesting comments about cat behaviour, gettingthrifty 🤔 You must have felt like a naughty schoolgirl when the cattery staff took you aside 😉 I was aware that dogs could suffer from separation anxiety but I was under the impression that cats, being so independent, didn’t much care who let them out/in or fed them. I love learning new things about animal behaviour 😊 Shame I cannot muster up that same enthusiasm for digital learning 😔
Florenceem, fancy sending poor MrF out into the cold & wet 😉 just so you could darn in peace 😅Hope the weather gets better so that locking up the SA tonight is a pleasant experience 🤞 Excellent decluttering 👏
Very droll daisy_1571 😂
Sorry to hear that work has been so busy EnergyShifter 😔 Remember, no apologies needed about lack of decluttering Especially if your home is tidy 👏 Please continue to take care of your eyes 🙏
Fizz2015, pleased to hear that your TLC is paying off & that you are gradually de-stressing & feeling normal again 😊 Hope you enjoy your day trips with your DD 🙂
Excellent work on the CD sorting short_bird 👏 Comparing previous 3 years energy costs to this years 😣 although I confess that I would probably have done the same, so rather a good job that DH is in charge 😉
vulpix, thank you for sharing your cat stories 🙂 & more importantly rescuing them in the first place 😇You must be so pleased that MrV is home to resume his duties as Fomo’s servant 😅
MadamMim2013, thank you for sharing such useful information about B12 jabs & for sharing your knowledge & experience 😊 By the way, no need to shush as it is an important topic & hopefully will help a few people 🤞 Very impressed with your decluttering of wardrobes & drawers 👏 so much so that I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ Good luck with the selling 🍀
Not much of a lazy day Liverpool_Anne 😉 Not sure that the word “interesting” adequately describes your OH’s appointment with the doctor 🤔 However hopefully now that the notes are fully updated this doctor will be true to his word & get the ball rolling to get OH back to as ‘full health’ as possible 🤞No wonder you were “gobsmacked” 😔 Hmm, all very well OH cooking up a storm but using all your ingredients - naughty OH 👿 Well done on rescuing In from the fibre broadband salesman 👏 I just wish they would accept a polite ‘No thank you’ & not bully people into submission 😠 ‘Polite bullying’ is still bullying 😖 I have jumped off my soapbox now 😉
TC77, fingers crossed that the people coming to pick up your Dad’s wardrobe (loved the lateral thinking advert 😊) can spare you a few minutes to help you load the bureau into your car 🤞 It sounds like family are pitching in to help with clearing your Dad’s house & hopefully you are starting to notice a difference 🙂 I am also keeping everything crossed that you can find somewhere to donate the jigsaws 🤞- as I agree that it seems such a waste to take them to the Tip 😔
14:00 - Just breaking off to have a bowl of hm soup & then send DH off on his walk 😉 DH set off at 14:51 😥
Excellent work on your MMiM Dfw38 👏 You are so right, the more you do the more you see to do 😊Every time I cross off one MMiM I end up adding another two 😔 Hopefully the car will be a quick & inexpensive fix 🤞🤞Sorry to hear that you have developed a head cold 😔 although I did smile at the ‘cereal in the fridge’ 😁 at least it wasn’t your keys 😉 Although you haven’t started decorating DS’s room I don’t imagine he is too bothered as it means he gets to spend more nights sharing with his sisters 😂
vulpix, lovely story & you got to make a new friend 👏 Please get in touch, asap, with your new doctor re the B12 jabs 🙏 Please, please be careful driving to MiL’s house for the garage clearance 🙏
Lovely post bit_by_bit 😊 Sounds like you were a Girl Scout & were prepared for getting stuck 👏 I imagine now you check the weather religiously before setting off anywhere 😉 Good luck with your jobs before CS 🍀
coconurtaler, the EDT is still speeding along like a bullet train so I can sympathise with you on not keeping up 😊 An excellent week of decluttering 👏
averages out at 6 items each day for 7 days which extrapolates to 2190 items per year 🙂 🥳 No such thing as failure with DD’s cuddly toys 😉 it is called regrouping 😊
Liverpool_Anne, OH possibly thought you were paying too much attention to the decluttering 😂🙃 I am extraordinarily pleased that your friend now feels able to talk to you 😊 as I remember how worried you were when he resigned so suddenly 😟
Excellent decluttering Rootle 👏
Muddy_Walker, thank you again for the great advice re my DH’s walking challenge 👏 Not only is he happier but so am I 🙂 If your kitchen is as cold as mine it wouldn’t have made much difference putting milk in the cupboard 😂 So sorry to hear that you are suffering so many side effects from your treatment ☹️ but well done on taking notes 🙂 Please remember to refer to them 🙏 & don’t forget to pop into the TLC Carriage every so often 😉
Good work persuading MrF to drop off the CS bags, Florenceem 👏 Pleased to hear that you are enjoying your crafting 😊
All caught up, so now debating on whether to tackle an MMiM or do some reading………….. reading it is 😅

Mrs SD, every cat I know will sit inside a suitcase if one is brought out of hiding for a trip, and both my tortie & my sons ginger & white cat give a combo of "where have you been, I MISSED you"/ "I hate you, you LEFT me" when back home 🤣
Whisky the tortie was very pleased to see me again after 4 months in storage at her rural cattery while I was living in a bedsit, but I did get the cold shoulder a bit for having abandoned her!

Sorry to non cat folks just a bit of cat chat.
vulpix
i understand completely and feel your pain re little fomo. Poor traumatised boy
Maybe a sympathetic understanding cattery can help? When I was 'taken aside' by my cattery regarding my cats behaviour I was surprised as he had only been in one night!.However they told me every visit he was bad and they had tried to accommodate him. Whilst we weren't banned, I felt we were on our first warning
Initially my cat was confident and bossy and loved the guys in our house DH and DS1 and DS2. Then when he was 2 years old I had a major injury happened to me and he instantly turned into 'cat carer'. He didn't leave my side ,at night slept at my feet, coming up to the pillow to give me regular head bumps. By day he followed me to the shower and toilet and only left me to sit on the bottom step of the stairs half an hour before DH came home when he 'handed my care' over to DH and went off for a cat sleep until resuming night duty with me again.
The only time this behaviour has changed was when DH was recovering from sepsis and he turned cat carer to him.!!
I decluttered a spare room and have catified it with dens and shelves, puzzle feeders and toys. We also introduced another cat a sassy bold girl to encourage him to be 'more cat'.
As time has gone on (7years) and I have recovered he has become more needy, stretching up my leg to be picked up and carried, dribbling and kneeding his paws whilst in my arms, and is a regular on DS' zoom work meetings wrapped around his neck.He is virtually with me 24/7 ,even walks to heel with me to toilet in the night
,its very tricky when I need to get stuff done hence his cat den. As i write this he's padding the door and howling to come in. Vulpix i feel your pain

Thank-you @Mrs_Salad_Dodger, glad I'm not the only one constantly finding more things to do! Ds is loving being in his sisters room, hope he will be OK when he is back to being by himself. He crawled into 2nd dds bed the other night and slept there, it was very sweet! Been back through clothes again as dds were putting clothes on last weekend and they were too small! We have had a talk about hand me downs and the eldest dd is more agreeable to letting her sister have some pieces that are no longer fitting. So 2nd dd has a cardigan, a new dress (covered with pictures of birds and butterflies and looks lovely) and a t shirt. The rest of the stuff wasn't to her taste. 2nd dd is a pink, princessy, glittery little madam and Eldest dd is a bit of a tomboy and prefers the fit and style of boys tops so we have put some t shirts aside for ds for when he is 7. The growth spurts this year have been epic! We have 6 bags of clothes from all 3 dc and 1 from me and I don't know whether to put them on v!nted (time it takes and one extra thing to do VS amount of £return) or cs them and maybe they make the cs some money and someone else can get a bargain. Decisions decisions. Took the dc to town today as they wanted to visit a museum (free - whoppee!) And spend their pocket money they have been saving. They only spent half and are saving the rest for Easter half term, very mse 🤣. We also went shopping for replacement clothes and they will have a more minimal wardrobe for the summer. Although I don't generally go crazy! Some more little bits to get for the summer but we have broken the back of it. The dds enjoyed choosing their own things (normally I pick up bits when i see them. Ds was happy - he got a new spiderman t shirt as he had outgrown his old one! He is 2 on Tuesday and will adore the fuss. Hope you are all well. I am going to do some more clearing out this weekend and continue watching Luther with dh. We have been sitting down together of an evening, this past week and it is nice to just be in each others company. We felt like house mates most of the time due to constant distractions/work/obligations and not really spending much time together but since we have moved into our new bedroom we have made sure we have at least an hour before bed to chat/watch tv or play board games together - like the old - before we had children- days.
