A few days of hiding in the TLC carriage and slowly starting to destress and feel normal again rather than stressed and on edge. A lot of TV and finished a 1000 piece puzzle in 4 days. I definately need the time off work and do not feel guilty over it now. I'm still really tired and getting headaches though.
I did do over 10,000 steps today on a walk with DD as she had an inset day. We walked from the house and did 2 parks, took a picnic and chatted with a lovely lady who was grooming her dogs. The weather was gorgeous sunshine but cold, Wednesdays snow has long gone. Next week there are 2 teacher strike days so will plan a day trip or two.
I did plan to do a carboot tomorrow but has been cancelled.

Just another 3 23 minute sessions on the sorting of the CD's for a total of 20. (Almost works, they nearly fit the space, just needs tweaking.)
Having a cup of tea as just received the yearly statement for the gas and electricity and made the fatal error of comparing last 3 years usage.

Just lost a post grr.Getting thrifty, I am glad someone understands. The cats came from a sanctuary via a cat horder. They were about 6 months old and had never been handled or socialised. Fluffy quickly adjusted. It took 2years to actually touch Fomo. He is now needy 24/7. He is still very nervous. Luckily for me Mr V is the object of his attention seeking. I was thinking of a cattery so we could have a proper holiday. Perhaps not. Your experience made me laugh. Fomo is intelligent, Fluffy is not at all. Better for her, she is not frightened of anything,he is frightened of his own shadow. He is like having a baby that never grows up!

@Mrs SD they are very strict with the B12 jabs, not even a day early, every 12 weeks. I have a friend who asked for them more frequently as he was struggling and they almost threatened to stop them! He had been very ill with pernicious anaemia before it was diagnosed.
I highly recommend that your friend contacts the Pernicious Anaemia society for support if they feel the 12 weeks is too long..They are amazing and can give great support and advice as to how to request and ultimately get injections 8 weekly (which is now the current nice guidelines on treatment) or even earlier!
Unfortunately it is hereditary in my family (I know it’s not that way for all, nor is the severity/symptoms etc) thankfully that is how I was diagnosed due to to a diligent Aunt who recognised my suffering and told me to tell my GP..once tested it became apparent I was weeks away from the beginnings of full organ failure!! 😮
My original GP was quick to act, yet the practice was thin on the ground with information, in fact on one occasion the sheer ignorance displayed by one of the nurses giving me my jab was shocking.. that’s why I turned to the Society, it’s worth arming yourself with the knowledge about this condition as it’s widely misunderstood and poorly treated..
Apologies for the soap box.. it’s a passion of mine to widen the understanding of Pernicious anaemia as it is so often misunderstood and so are the people suffering because of it..
So yes, Liverpool_Anne is quite correct they can be strict, unfairly so, this needs to be challenged and always know that once a diagnosis of PA has been given the injections are for life! Any Dr/nurse that threatens to remove them is failing their duty of care to the patient and needs to be reminded of this.. (It should also be reported to the practice manager) NICE guidelines state that treatment should be symptom led to reduce the possibility of permanent nerve damage.Ok.. I’ll sush now.. 🫢
Did attack wardrobes and drawers in week, 4 black bags out to charity, one bag full to be sold.. was well happy with result! No Decluttering today except 24 hours at work.. Aim to be productive tomorrow 😇
Night all.. 👋🏼"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇19 -
Hi all, felt like a lazy day as nothing on my list done but I have been doing things. Bathroom swished and bin emptied. Post dealt with, received my swap out stamps but 2 1st class stamps missing so phoned about that and will keep track of that
.
OH visit to the Dr was "interesting". Has high white cell count. This has been the case for over a year and OH has been to see various consultants and had numerous texts and is taking part in some sort of trial where it is being monitored. None of this was on the medical notes so Dr typed it in when OH was there along with a few other things that have been happening during the past 2-3 years that was also not in the notes. Dr has promised to look into it but no idea of timescale. I was gobsmacked
OH cooked a huge pan of Persian chicken khoresh that is apparently lovely. I have googled it and it is a Persian stew but none of the recipes online have chilli or ginger so I am not sure how authentic it is, but I have taken notes and will have a play to see if I can make something similar without the chilli or chicken. The kitchen is destroyed and despite shopping yesterday for ingredients OH has used all my tinned tomatoes and puree and my tinned chickpeas
.
I have sent and answered various text messages, still waiting to hear if the union thing needs further action.
Had a coffee with ln and rescued her from a guy trying to get her to sign up for fibre broadband. Her daughters sort it all out for her. He wasn't being pushy but he was confusing her so I just politely said we would talk to the daughters, goodbye
I ordered flowers for a friend's Mum's birthday. It's always a bit of a hassle as it is so close to mother's day and the florists get overwhelmed. That was the 1 thing that was on my list that I did do
@Vulpix I am sure your nephew understands you need to not engage in this battle so you can keep in contact with your Mum. He sounds like someone who can tackle the brother
@MadamMim2013 thank you so much for that information, especially about the updated NICE guidelines, I will pass it on to my friend who I was very angry for iyswIm. He has been diagnosed with PA but some ignorant medical person was being very challenging. In my case I am B12 deficient because a, I am veggie and b, one of my other meds inhibits absorption so luckily although I need the jabs I don't suffer as much except for the tiredness. I did have 1 Dr refuse to repeat a prescription as my levels were ok which I agreed to on the proviso that they were regularly monitored. In less than a year I was called in to have them reinstated. The Dr I saw then said I would need them for life. I suggested he inform the other Drs in the practice as I was aware of that and that is why I insisted it was monitored. You are so right that not enough people understand about this. The symptoms can be very hard to live with if not treated properly. Hugs

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DH got back from his walk about 16:15 having done 9,880 steps. The water & salty crackers seem to be doing the trick as no more dizzy episodes or fast heartbeat. DH filled bird feeders. I did complete my MMiM but it took 2 x 23 minutes. Emptied cupboard, washed inside & out; de-crumbed & polished toaster; thoroughly wiped down mixer; washed jugs etc & then reorganised contents in a neater way. Binned an ancient, rusting aerosol can of fly & wasp killer. Then did a few mini, mini jobs - darned a hole in DH’s woollen RAF glove; sorted out the CS bag & added an unopened 100ml bottle of Peppermint oil; washed & dried new tea towels as per washing label. DH did his 2nd short walk at 18:30. Dinner was individual shop bought pies - half price with mash, mixed vegetables & baked beans. DH & I enjoyed our pies - plenty of chicken but DSis not impressed by her steak & ale pie. DH washed up the pans. Wudupa.
797 - 801 Kitchen recycling, 3 newspapers, drinks cans - recycled
802 - 803 Kitchen detritus, can of fly spray - binned

Excellent decluttering Wednesday2000 👏 Well done for noticing the drain - I trust you held the ladder for your husband 😉 Cement dust gets everywhere & with all the rain we have had no wonder you ended up with a lump of concrete 😬
Shame about the bootie slippers nannywindow ☹️ Now you just need to source a couple more pairs at a good price 😉 Hope DGD is better now, having eaten you out of house & home 😅 Pleased to hear that the snow is melting & hopefully the buses & schools will be back in action 🤞Your freezer must be jam packed now with all that baking you did 👏
Blue_Doggy, decluttering comes in all shapes & sizes - physical, digital & mental + tasks completed + cleaning & tidying 🙂 You have managed to do some of each type 👏 I love all the emojis for the TLC Carriage but I think you missed one - 💆♀️ 😉 A new friend for Justin & Ron - I had never heard of May B Handy but I think she may be responsible for a lot of my clutter 😂
gettingthrifty, I think you should celebrate & relax for at least a week 😉 you have definitely earned it 😊 To set up a signature - Profile, Edit profile, Signature Settings, add comment, Save. Good luck 🍀
vulpix, I think MrV will probably be so tired from his time away that he will want you to continue being Fomo’s apprentice servant for another couple of days 😉😬 DH & I have very few photos of either of us but for a different reason - neither of us like having our photo taken. For all MrV’s lovely qualities he should be taking at least some of you rather than just Fomo 😂 Definitely sounds like your MiL’s house clearance is going very well 🙂
Two funerals on two consecutive days, how awful 😢
As to your brother, all I can think is that he has completely lost the plot 😞 Friend in your Mum’s house & no contract 🙄 Although it does sound like your nephew might resolve the situation 🤞and without your involvement.
Excellent work QueenJess 👏 Everything crossed that you get the last 25 accounts closed over the weekend 🤞 Hopefully your next frog will involve less work 🙂
I have waited until 6:00 a.m. Saturday for my milkman to deliver my milk & eggs - no sign at all 😖 My note asked him to resume deliveries on Thursday but nothing delivered then & now been let down again. Tried phoning the dairy but no joy 😔 I am so disappointed that I am going to bed & will finish cheerleading when I get up 😉

Read posts yesterday and were ones I wanted to reply to but can't remember to and using my phone now so can't go back and type
Impressed by so much going on.
Cam down to my dad's and daunted by how much is here. Someone coming to pick up a fabric 1950s wardrobe. - on free site suggested someone could use the fabric DB away until.mod April. My nephew may come.and help and suggesting he takes things back to their house and sneaks things into DBs office as he's worried what SIL will say about anything going in. Want to bring small bureau back but can't get it in my car on my own. Did think if people picking up wardrobe are friendly- think couple will see if could ask if would help. Not heavy just needs 2 people. Booked tip run but only small things. DB wants to sort computer things from 1980s onwards and left over boat and tools.
.Lots of jigsaws 500 pieces plus with 3 or 4 pieces missing so should go to the tip but kee thinking there must be something that they could be used for- art project??
Hope to report items later. Waiting for heating to kick in.14 -
Morning, need to catch up on posts, will attempt this evening.
Managed 3 tip runs this week but car is playing up again so needs to go back to mechanic Wednesday 😖. Have developed a head cold so have not started decorating ds room yet. Discovered late last night that I put the cereal in the fridge... best I don't do anything that requires common sense until I have recovered.
Hoping to start decorating this week. I have been keeping up with my MMiM. So far:
* Organised plate cupboard.
* Designated small kitchen cupboard as a 'use up' cupboard.
* organised linen cupboard and allocated a box in there for dcs 'growing into clothes'
* organised bathroom cupboard
* organised under bed storage for dh and myself.
Can see about 100 more MMiM that need doing 🤣. It is like the fog is clearing and you can see more of what needs doing. I have been watching Joshua Becker on YouTube when ds has his daily nap. Interesting viewpoints and ideas. Would normally run around tidying up but have no energy for that currently.
Huge hugs to anyone who need one 🤗. Back later!

TC77, I know exactly what you mean about posts. there are lots of lovely things I try to say to people and I lose posts looking back for people's names! I also use my phone and laptop and miss pages at a time. Ask for help with the bureau. I was giving away a wardrobe not long after surgery. I had said I couldn't help.A lovely young man turned up with an extremely pregnant wife. They were in my house trying to lift it over the bannister and I was on the road talking to their toddler in his car seat. I asked a dog walker to give him a hand. I was on the road talking to the toddler and holding a dog! It took them ages to get it out and had been really difficult. It had gone in.flat pack! I got quite friendly subsequently with the dog walker due to my cheekiness.
Interesting about vitamin B12. I am supposed to have injections after surgery for life. I must get onto my new GP.
I have had one of those sleep evading nights.Still awake at 6am.Off to Nottingham now. Garage clearance today. We still have plenty of snow and ice but all the main roads are now open. Always about 4 degrees warmer in Nottingham. I doubt there will be any snow left there.

Thankyou MrsSD. The snow was not so bad and I have driven in much worst but really I didn't want to leave my warm snug house so we moved the date.
I got caught at Buxton once @vulpix. It was only raining in Manchester but by the time we got to Buxton there wre several feet of snow on the ground and we couldn't get out again. Luckily I had my emergency bag in the boot (inc snow chains for my shoes) and we managed to get a hotel for the night. I have learnt a few lessons since then.
Great info re pernicious anaemia @MadamMim2013.
Trying to get a few jobs done before the CS today. Yesterday was no good as totally exhausted after having GS2, Did get out to play in the sunshine though.
