Well done Granny Kate on the weight loss. I am another who should join you. My excuse this week is still suffering with sinus. I am just too busy to even try to get a GP appointment.
I slept like a baby last night and apart from my nose, feel a lot better. I would possibly feel even better if I had a B12 jab. I have felt ropey for months but I just thought I was just old for my age.
I despaired at the bungalow yesterday. I haven't been because of the snow. They, well SD really had just emptied every drawer and cupboard. I set to in the main bedroom and worked until it was empty. 6 black bags of clothes went to the Sally army. The mattress and other stuff and several black bags went to the tip. A car full of small furniture, coffee tables bedside tables etc to an Africa charity shop.6 boxes of bricabrac dropped off at bit by bits house for cancer research and her MIL's church and refugee charity. 3 boxes, yes that's right, of jewellery and jewellery making stuff dropped off at home to the lady who runs our church shop where the proceeds will go to Alzheimer's and Mind. I think some things from the garage also went on the tip run. SD spent the day emptying the huge ,all down one wall storage unit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so now the sitting room is also a complete tip. I also made a start in the conservatory and 2nd bedroom with ornaments, clothes airers etc. I wasn't going to go on Monday as I ought to clean before DD1 comes to stay on Tuesday but now I will. I will finish emptying the conservatory and bedroom,Xmas decs, massive amount of new stuff MIL had bought for tombolas etc in the built in wardrobe. The kitchen, they (she,SD) have just made such a mess and every surface and the floor is covered. Stuff is piled up against the back door! The people who kit out older people in new homes have not phoned back, Grrrrrrrrrrr. Mind you, they would barely be able to get in to see if they want the white goods and some of the furniture..Bless her, SD works shifts and will be coming "to help" on Monday. There is nothing left to empty! Oh, an amount of solar light garden ornaments brought home for our bin monitor for her garden. NDN at the bungalow have been round and cut a massive bush down that was growing up their garage wall. Kindly left it in the middle of the back garden.
Today I am doing nowt apart from going somewhere for lunch. Mr V working tonight.
Just briefly on the subject of cats. Fomo also wears a nurses uniform quite often. He is tending to me right now.

4 more books from the 'reread and pass on to cs' pile have been reread.
I've started my next MMiM - 🐸 transferring data from my old address book to my new one. It's going to take a while as I've updated my phone and not the book so I'm having to check for current telephone numbers. I've had the new book for a decade or more and never got roundtuit. So it'll be a job well done. 1 x 23 minutes session done so far.

Wow, so not sure what has happened here, but DH got on board with attic clearing and this morning I went up there and removed 27 empty cardboard boxes that we had because ? I've left some up there as I use them for things like storage, charity donations and there are a few for stuff we will sell once we are done with it for DD/DS. It meant I cleared the space towards DH's 40% of the attic and so he is there now going through all the boxes and actually getting rid of stuff! 🎉 Apparently he's been storing bank statements back to 1990, so I can see I'll have a huge shredding pile to deal with in the week. I don't count his stuff for my decluttering and just mine/joint things/kids stuff, but it will be great to get rid of stuff all the same!He also has a constant stream of commentary from DS asking things like "Why do you need all this stuff, isn't it all the same?" and "You can't keep all of this" "Are you going to keep this as I can tell you that you won't ever use it." "Have you actually looked through here?"
We did just watch the end of the latest Sort Your Life Out, so he is channeling his inner Dilly 🤣
I also discovered a box of books I don't need and hidden behind all of DH's stuff he found the box of games I've been looking for for years. I concluded it must have gone when we were burgled years and years ago, even though I was sure they were there somewhere. Anyway, these can now add to the box of presents for DD/DS I keep floating around, although I have bits distributed around now and somehow need to find somewhere better to store them. I also found the missing puzzle I was looking for a week or two ago when I realised it was not in the attic and was in the gift box 🤦♀️. I'm hoping when I arrange the rest of my bedroom it will become clear where I can hide the gift stash... it'll either be in the cupboard of doom at the top or in the bottom drawer in the wardrobe if I can move things.Online accounts are down to 17 now, but I am waiting on responses to get these ones either deleted or my email address changed. Hopefully these will slowly close down now and I will pick up a new frog next week of putting more cash into my pension before the end of the financial year. May as well just have a finance week next week for all finance related frogs and then move onto the health frogs the week after.3,122-3,123 - online accounts deleted3,124-3,146 - various bits and pieces from DS's room (recycled)3,147-3,174 - boxes from the attic (recycled)3,175-3,177 - toys (buy nothing)3,178-3,194 - books (charity box)3,195-3,196 - packaging (reused)3,197-3,198 - board games (buy nothing)2025 decluttering: 3,550🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

I’m so glad that I am not the only one who forgets who said what when I really wanted to reply. Not a cat person but loving the stories. I wasn’t fazed by the thought of a cat wearing an actual nurse’s outfit at all. Then I realised… As for putting things away, I actually put the milk in the washing machine the other day. Luckily I didn’t then decide to switch it on. Love the idea that I can count decluttering impatience with colleagues in my total - I’m possibly done for this year, if that’s the case!
RL (well, work, mainly) seems to get in my way during the week, so I’m trying to read along in the week and make my decluttering progress at the weekend. I’ve managed to tackle 3 more MMiMs this weekend, although they didn’t yield much to go out of the house.
Kitchen glass cabinet - emptied, cleaned, 6 odd glasses boxed up to see if DD wants them for her uni house otherwise they go in the glass recycling. Ditto 1 wine bottle stopper, although I doubt the uni house bottles are ever left half empty…
Food cupboards - Big tidy, although ood stuff has already been sorted. Pulled bits to the front for menu planning. I had a Dilly moment (minus the labelling) and stood tomato puree tubes (I get through loads so always have a stash) up in a box rather than letting them fall on my head every time I open the cupboard. Look tidier and less hazardous. Various packaging out to the recycling.
1 cs book finished, to be returned to a different cs.
Hall shoe unit - this doesn’t house a single pair of my shoes (I’m not a shoe person, having feet of gargantuan size, and put my shoes away upstairs apart from the pair of boots that I am wearing every day to work), just DDs and DHs. But they leave them under the unit instead of in it. As DD isn’t here in term time, her various shoes have been put where they should be. Ditto DH’s. I will be encouraging a declutter of those and her many coats when she returns for Easter.
Seed packets x 3. Not sure how these escaped the last cull, but they are gone now.
Baby steps, but more is leaving than enters the house.12 -
I’d forgotten that for those struggling through digital photos, someone online suggested that each day you look at the photos from that same day (eg 8 March) in other years and eventually you get it sorted out. I quite liked that idea.2025 decluttering: 3,550🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅
