Can I ask a question? I have a digital folder of photos of my ex-husbands family and of our wedding in 2010. We have been divorced since 2020,  I don't keep in contact with any of them, his parents are both dead & he has had digital copies of them all. Can someone give me permission to go through & delete them please?!

@Floss - yes delete them.  I did this with various ex families in my mother and mil's stash. I like the idea of taking a day's photos at a time to look through.  I have about 15 years worth on my computer but they need culling drastically but are in date folders per year with a date at the end so would not be too onerous to do.  In fact I will see if I have any with 12 March on when I've done this post.  I try to download from phone at least every 6 weeks but rarely have time to cull them properly.

Re email spam the problem with opening them is that it validates to the sender that this is a real address.  They should however still take you off their list if you unsubscribe.  I have found that having a dedicated separate email for surveys, competitions etc has made a difference as most spam goes into that account even though I diligently tick or untick no contact boxes.  I regularly empty all my junk and bin boxes to remove clutter from computer after glancing down the list to make sure there are none which I actually want.  It is very therapeutic and I aim to only have a few emails which need action sitting in my inbox most mornings.  Other more techie types may have more advice.

399 Updated details on iCloud as payment card expired.  
400 DS2 emptied and tidied van so stuff went in bin or recycling.

MMiM 4/31 completed. It took 2 x 23 minutes + 1 x 20 minutes to check, update and transfer all the data but the pages of my old address book are now in the shredding pile, and the cover is in the bin. There's a section for birthdays in the new book so I've filled that in too.

Actually that maybe ought to be 4/40 as my list keeps growing. 🤔.

Floss, a few months ago I got rid of my wedding album, separated 1991 and divorced 2 years later.... being on this thread helped. I kept a couple with my family in and just put in an envelope. I have ones of DD1 with her dad in when she was a baby. She has chosen not to see him for 10 years but can't quite get rid of these (or not all of them).

Back from my dad's with boxes of things to try and sell/give away and some for me. My house is chaos - DD2 bike and stuff blocking dining room table (not that can often sit at it) but mock A's tomorrow so biting my tongue, DD1 put offer in on a flat but awful renting market with dozens after the same flat so worried she will be homeless and her stuff will come here
V difficult few weeks at work so trying to focus on urgent only. Making a list for tomorrow. Know one item will sell today ( vintage music bag).

No decluttering today but tackled a MASSIVE frog !  I am due to renew my professional credentialing in September.  It's one of my big tasks of the year as it can be so fiddly (think Tax Return on steroids)  .  I woke up this morning determined to at least look at the requirements.  It turns out that it is not as onerous as I feared, I thought they'd require mentoring, recordings and transcripts like last time, but no - just proof that you've done 40 hours of relevant training in the 3 years since the original was awarded and to an online module on ethics. 

I haven't done training for ages due to all the stuff that happened with DS but some "email archeology" revealed that I did the required training hours in late 2020 / early 2021 and you can count supervision towards the hours (which I have regularly) .  Once I found that out I  was on such a roll I even did the 3 hour online  module and test on ethics .  I can't submit the renewal just yet as I'm waiting for some information back from my supervisor and a training provider - but emails sent to request those. Sorry to go on so much about it but I am ridiculously pleased with myself!  🤩

Today saw the following:
Table, chairs & old curtains re-homed.
Recycling done and organised ready for collection (will put out on Tues night)
Repairs to front door..

Time spent at my Ma’s;
Weather station set up (with thanks to OH for locating and putting up the sensor)
Rat bait boxes cleaned off and re-filled..🤢
Damp prevention boxes emptied and new blocks put in.
Dishes washed..😇

Home again to write lists for next week and get organised along with 2 x loads of washing sorted..
Now watching various episodes of Vera as OH is a little obsessed since introduced him to her! 🤣

Sending sticks, spoons and ups where needed along with wishes for a good upcoming week! ☺️
