1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
So much for yesterday’s comment of coming back later - I got distracted by reading & watching TV 😔
I forgot to mention that our wheelie bin has been emptied on the correct day 🥳 It rained on & off all day Wednesday. DH had a bath late afternoon. He went for his 2nd shorter walk about 18:20 & was absolutely fine. Our HF meal was Beef Tikka Pulao with peas & yoghurt. Very tasty 🤤 DSis enjoyed her hm cottage pie. Wudupa.

Thursday & I was up & dressed by 9:00. In view of a couple of my lovely friends kind concern & advice, I am supplying DH with a bottle of water & some Ritz crackers for his first walk of today 🙂 It is still raining & doesn’t seem to have stopped all night if the quagmire in the back garden is anything to go by ☹️ The recycling wheelie bin has been emptied after 2 weeks 🙂 10:06 DH has just set off for a short first walk - wearing his RAF foul weather Geltex coat, a woolly hat & gloves with his supplies in his pocket 😉 DH back 10:50 after 4,600 steps (drank half the bottle of water & munched on several crackers) & is sending a big thank you to everyone for the advice & 😘 from me 😊 So much more perky than he has been 👏
Muddy_Walker, thank you for DH’s Gold Star ⭐️ he’s very pleased 😀 I have also relayed your advice & he will be taking some water with him & some ritz crackers. I looked up symptoms of electrolyte imbalance & seems to fit exactly. Thank you for your kind concern & experienced advice 👏
You are very welcome Happy_Kitties 🙂 Excellent decluttering 👏 You are doing so well on your neutral items & must be quite nice that the organiser has space to store them rather than you 😊
Muddy_Walker, I think working from home has put paid to snow days 😉 but at least you had time to have a snowball fight with your dog 😊 even if it was a bit one sided 😅
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 What a beautiful jigsaw 😊 I can see why it was quite difficult to complete - there is a lot of white 😉
Keiths_Mum, lovely memories of your dog - I would say that she won the snowball fights by eating the ‘weapons’ 😁 Very pleased to hear that you are holding fire on any decisions about your photographs 😊 When I get around to dealing with mine, I won’t have the same issues as most of mine are holiday scenery with no people 😉
bit_by_bit, nothing beats cuddles from mum - so pleased that DD is feeling a bit better about boyfriend returning to Canada 😔 Love your decluttering partnership’ with vulpix 😊 A special hug from a great friend 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏 & good luck with the photo sorting 🍀
TC77, your hall sounds a bit fuller than it was but at least it is only temporary 🙂 What a lovely day off work & very pleased that you managed to give yourself some TLC 😀 Lovely memories of your dad & what a great memento 😊 I am a big fan of Italian coffee pots 👏 brings back happy memories of large family gatherings 😊
vulpix, sounds like a lovely visit from bit_by_bit 😊 & fingers crossed that your errant pan is at the air b n b 🤞
Thanks weenancy - always thinking of others 👏 Great advice for GrannyKate 🙂 Lovely to have a resident genealogy expert 🥳 When DH was researching his family tree he frequently ordered copy documents especially as the usual naming practice consisted of 4 boys names & 4 girls names & always in the same order 😱 very confusing 🙄 Very pleased to hear that you will be resting & writing this weekend with a quiet dog for company 😊 So much for taking it at least a bit easier 😔 I am hoping that it is because you are feeling a bit better but not convinced - I will say no more 😉 You have been very busy again & got a lot done as usual 👏 Sounds like next week is going to be even busier than usual although I am very glad to hear that you will be getting proper assistance in your preparations for the book sale & giveaway 🙂 However it still stands that you must try to take a bit more care of yourself 🙏
Liverpool_Anne, pleased to hear that your persistence paid off re getting the info for OH’s hospital appointment 👏 Shame about the laundry bag ☹️ Is there any chance of getting your B12 jab a bit earlier? Hopefully the delivery of a parcel of curry spices etc will mean that you don’t have to cook for at least 2 weeks - or is that wishful thinking on my part 😂 Lovely cheerleading in the 2nd half of your post 😊 What an amazing photo to have 😊 is there any chance of you posting a copy to the thread 🙏Ted is probably asking for a bit of a spruce up 😉
vulpix, a bit early to be getting up - you really must teach Fomo to tell the time 😂 That is a lot of snow - so I am keeping everything crossed that the predicted blizzard & snowfall doesn’t materialis🤞It is just steady drizzle here but of course I have used it as an excuse to delay my trip to Lewisham 😉 Like you I have difficulty with Stacey’s voice but she is so kind & down to earth that I have managed to set that aside 🙂 & Rob is a genius & not bad looking 😉😉 At least the organiser (Dilly) helps the families with the 2nd day of decluttering in the warehouse (although like you I could do without her organising ‘skills’ - my all time “favourite” is sorting Lego into colours 🤣) Sadly the cleaner chap never seems to do much at all 🤔 Re the rocking chair - I take it you weren’t going to repaint it red 😣 Such a shame that you have so few photos of yourself ☹️although I suppose the upside is that you have one less decluttering task 😉 What a lovely idea re the folders of your children’s photos & certificates 😊
QueenJess, in our house, biscuits don’t last long enough to be organised 🤣 I almost forgot about the labelling 🙄 the only thing I have labelled is the filing cabinet with all my stationery items 😉
~FlowerPot~, really sorry to hear that RL is so stressful that it is impacting your health ☹️ Is there anyone who can lighten the load at least a little - someone else to ferry DC around perhaps? Not sure what to suggest other than popping into the ‘virtual’ TLC Carriage 😔
Still drizzling but DH has gone shopping so I really should take the opportunity to clean & sort the last kitchen drawer 😉 I will be back later to finish the cheerleading

In the bin: 2 ankle socks with no-stretch elastic, 1 jumper with a hole. I normally would try to fix at least the jumper, but I've had it for about 8 years, from my sister who also wore it for about 5 years. It's done its duty.

14:00 I have just completed a 30 minute MMiM of the 3rd kitchen drawer - contents & organisers removed & washed; drawer scrubbed inside & out; contents returned in a tidier way; enough space created that measuring cups now moving from deep drawer & easily visible 🙂; tarnished ornamental silver teaspoon now buffed to a brilliant shine. I am very happy 😃 + 3 items removed & added to cs bag - a cake slice (I don’t need 2), an unused pastry brush & a palette knife - not much but every little helps 🙂 DH is home, shopping put away & he has peeled & chopped wilting/old vegetables, cooked up a spare chicken breast & used all the cooked leftovers (from the fridge) to make a chunky soup - minimal input from me 🙂. The soup is now bubbling away on the hob. DH has now reached over 6,000 steps. He will set off for his 2nd walk after drinking his coffee, remembering to take water & ritz crackers 😉 DH set off at 16:20.
Back to cheerleading 🙂
QueenJess, thanks for the encouragement to all those currently ploughing through digital decluttering 👏
Wednesday2000, I missed last nights Sort Your Life Out - annoyingly it vanished from my planner schedule 🙄 but I look forward to catching up just to see what nifty storage solutions Rob comes up with 😉 Great work decluttering & reorganising in your kitchen 👏 I also rather approve of getting your DH to drop off the cs bag so you didn’t have to leave a warm house 😅 ‘bless his little cotton socks’ 😊of which there will be far fewer, if you are successful in your mission 😉
You are very welcome D123456789 😊 Ooh fairy cakes with unicorn sprinkles 🦄 my mouth is watering 🤤 Good for you, not only celebrating your many accomplishments but also reminding us all to celebrate ours 🥳 In fact I am so impressed at not only how much you have done but also the new habits you have formed 👏 that I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ Good luck with whatever project you pick next 🍀 I Know you will succeed 😊
So Fomo has woken you up twice today vulpix 😉 naughty little kitty 🙊 Fingers crossed you don’t get snowed in 🤞 Nice to know that I am not the only one who talks to the telly 😂 Hmm, “an IT incompetent” 🤔 that pretty much describes me 😉 I look forward to the day when you post a picture of you in the strip 🤣 so sorry I couldn’t resist 🤭
Great advice QueenJess 👏 Surprising how quickly many companies will accede to your ‘unsubscribe request’ when threatened with a regulatory body 😅
Well said Floss 👏 I think you are spot on that Stacey spends most of her time getting people to understand why they have so much ‘stuff’. Makes for uncomfortable viewing sometimes 😔
Brie, I am angry on your behalf 🤬 The boiler repairman should be ashamed of himself 😖
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate especially dropping off the CS bag 👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ on its way 🙂 Good luck with your large frog & tadpoles 🍀 Hopefully you can get the tadpoles sorted before your long stretch of childcare starts 🤞
Keep up the good work QueenJess 👏 You might not get paid in cash for decluttering the online accounts but the peace of mind when they are all gone will be priceless 😊
Good decluttering Siebrie 👏 I have a jumper like that - but mine, although threadbare & no longer particularly warm, is still lurking because I love the colour …………… However you have inspired me, so I have just recovered it from its ‘hiding’ place (it has been photographed as a reminder of the colour) & now bagged & binned 🥳
791 Jumper binned
On that note, hugs to all & will see you later 👋

Nothing has left the house today. Not even me as my lunch partners cancelled.
I am sort of glad as I needed a rest day.
I am trying to get some jobs done bit by bit as I am tired at the moment and feel any big job is beyond me. I have done a lot of travelling, extra childcare and am dealing with a very angry and bitter DiL. She can rant for Britain.
Last night I did a few minutes on the photos and emptied and cleaned a kitchen drawer . I chucked a few things and some should will be put be in the shed when we next go into it. Now most of the house is clear it is easier to do a few minutes and still feel an achievement.
Today I have done more tidying and sorted a few frogs.I put a few a things online to sell as this is the biggest frog I have. I am aiming for most of it to be gone in the next year and then work out another way of making money to top up my work pension.

Thank you Queen Jess with information about the email. I have been getting it at least 10 years. I can’t find the unsubscribe info and I have in the past emailed the club and asked to be removed from their mailing list. I don’t even know where they got my email address from. I will get on the case. I used to get notifications that a woman down south’s prescription was ready. I managed to stop them by emailing the GP practice which was mentioned in the notification as it was a do not reply message.I think it’s the fashion to label everything. Even see through containers. A bit pointless really. As for biscuit arrangement, they don’t even make it from packet to storage container here. I suppose the organisation woman on the tv programme has to bling up her slot. Not very exciting to just say fold these clothes up.It has snowed steadily all day. Certainly not 40cm but on the tops it will drift. Several roads have been closed.I’m fed up with scraping lumpy layers of emulsion off the chair. I will have a look at some of my unfinished crafts.Pleased to hear Mr SD is fighting fit.Vx:15

Evening.
Tuesday I managed an hour tidy up before DD1 arrived with DGD for the morning. Then I fetched DS2 from college so didn't manage anything else.
Yesterday I did another 23 minute run round and then DD1 rang to see if I would go to meadowhell with her. I really didn't want to but she knows leaving the house is part of my CBT so ended up going anyway. Luckily it wasn't too busy.
Today has been busy! Spent 2 hours sorting through some of the boys things. We had got rid of the rubbish when the stuff came down so was just putting things together and keeping what DS2 wanted. Just 1 box and some bits to sort through now.
Then I pulled what was left of theirs's out from behind the table so I could push it back to get in to the conservatory to get all my craft stuff out. Was having a quick read on here while waiting for the vinyl to warm up and saw Mrs SD was already working through her kitchen drawers so spent 10 minutes sorting through my second drawer, threw a load of things and put rest in dishwasher. Will scrub drawer in a bit and put everything back when the dishwasher has finished.
DGDs 1st birthday tomorrow so need to go and personalise her pjs and teddy and then her things can go to her house as the slide takes up quite a bit of room.

Caught up on Stacey. I also can't be doing with her accent but I think she seems a genuinely lovely person so I forgive her
and while I think some of her ideas are clever, some are either total dust catchers, impractical or just ridiculous.
Also agree biscuits in the jars was just plain stupid. She's had to handle every one of those biscuits and they took up far more space in those jars than either in the packet or all dumped in one tin.
However my ideal happy place would be the batcave from 1960s Adam West series. I've always loved a label
