2023 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN Mrs SD

Hello all, not much decluttering gone on here except daily detritus and another pair of bootie slippers as they too had a hole in the sole. Now I'm down to my last pair, which I'm wearing 😨 We had DGD here on Monday as she was poorly, not so her appetite though, like DGS I don't know where she puts all the food, DD must be constantly shopping to fill both DGC up ! We had a lot of snow here on Wed which hung around on Thursday until the night when it started again, but we seem to be having a slow thaw today. Luckily DD is a teacher and she was able to be home with the DGC as all the schools were shut and the buses stopped, which seems to happen after 3 flakes nowadays !
Yesterday I decided to have a baking day and used up some soft fruit and ready made pastry I found in the freezer. I made 2 steak pies, pear and apple turnovers with chocolate chips and mini marshmallows ( went a bit mad there but they turned out delicious 😂) and a banana and walnut cake which I've covered in chocolate topping. Today with the lo pastry I made corned beef pasties, which used up some sprouting potatoes and onions, so a type of decluttering 😁 Most of the food has now gone into the freezer but some of it has/will be eaten just for quality control purposes 😉
I apologise for not keeping up with everyone's news but I wish everyone both physically and mentally well and a happy decluttering journey.
Take care all

Not a lot done this week on the decluttering front: Monday I was out with friends in the afternoon, Wednesday I spent on a frog - 🐸 chasing up missing prescription meds (I won’t bore you with the saga!) but the three hours spent waiting for call-backs was time when only short tasks could be done (including preparing & eating lunch) followed by an hour and a half going to collect supply from the hospital.
Thursday and today I’ve been in the TLC carriage (it’s a very comfy place! Thank you for making it so welcoming! 💐🍰☕️🍷🍵🍩🍨🍪🍹🍸🛋🛌🖼🧸) as feeling very weak and wobbly.
So, what I have done:23-minuters:
- washed/dried up glass vases which had begun to gather on the worktop
- washed/dried up & stored glass storage jars following food cupboard tidying
- washed/dried up & stored dog food storage tubs after tidying his cupboard
Others:- 3 magazines finished with & into recycling
- years-old cinnamon sticks (from food cupboard) and paper ribbons (from birthday card stash) put away with other gift wrapping stores- 350 emails - batches at a time relating to one order and delivery thereof (from vendor and courier), also the “sent” file partners of dealt-with inbox stuff and all have to be checked for anything that needs to be filed
- 2 good strong cardboard boxes wrestled from Justin’s friend May B Handy and put in recycling
- ordinary household rubbish and recycling to outside bins“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Big thanks Mrs. SD for your very kind words and to liverpool_anne too
I am thrilled with my gold star and wow!! a trophy too!! Am ridiculously excited!! . My brain is still in a tizzy in sheer disbelief its over . I must ask you good people how i do a signature to put my achievements on ??
Cane toad Mrs SD was an apt description of my 7 year frog - its was very poisonous and leached into every bit of my life. Now over
Am hoping i will pull myself together and get some serious decluttering on the go now .13 -
Well spotted with the drain Wednesday2000. That could have proved expensive if you had called someone out.
I never appreciated how much of a cat servant Mr V is! Feed, stroke, letin, let out ad infinitum. I will never have been so pleased to see him when he comes home later to hand over the baton. The other cat is much more cat like and not attention seeking at all.
The only thing I have labelled is the files in the office, but not fancy script, just written on in biro.
I realised why there were no photos of me as an adult, I didn't have a partner to take any of me. I was the one taking photos of the kids. I was on my own 18 years before I met Mr V. He just takes pictures of his true love... Fomo. I will though be sure to send you a pic of me in my Rugby kit Mrs SD.
The house clearance is apparently going well. White goods and kitchen contents are being given to a charity which kits older people out. Clothes and toiletries have gone to the care home. Clothes they don't need, coats shoes etc Sally Army. Bric a brac I will distribute to different chazzers so as not to overload them, same with the million duvet covers. Towels have gone to RSPCA. .Red cross are coming to collect the hospital bed and hoist and other stuff. None of the kids want anything from the house except DD2 wants the kitchen table. We still need to find a home for 2 electric wheelchairs. We have agreed that we will not be bringing anything to our house. All we have brought home is a glass owl and a geode. Paperwork and photographs will be trickier. There is a massive frog that will have to be dealt with,I will tell you all the sorry tale another time. Good old MIL, she has left everything relatively easy to sort out. My Mother's house on the other hand is the opposite and much bigger. It is a worry.
The funeral is 23rd. Our friends funeral is 22nd. It's less than a year that Mr V was best man at her wedding. That will be a week.
My Nephew has phoned me today to canvas me about my Mum. Apparently I am not the only one who doesn't get on with my brother! I don't know if I said that my Brothers friend has moved into Mum's house,no contract. Nephew is savage. I am not having any part of it. Brothers mess.
I MUST get on and do something,I fell asleep earlier and have only managed one load of washing. Not the Spring cleaning i envisaged.

Managed to reduce the online accounts down to 25 left to check. Getting really hard now... hoping to get them down so that it's only the ones I am waiting to hear back on left over the weekend and then I can start the next frog next week.3,114-3,116 - online accounts deleted3,117-3,121 - duplicate online accounts deleted2025 decluttering: 5,000 🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅🌟2025 use up challenge: 362🥉🥈🥇💎🏆Mini freezer challenge +4/-20Big kitchen declutter challenge 120/1502025 decluttering goals I Use up Challenge: 🥉365 🥈750 🥇1,000 💎2,000 🏆 3,000 👑 8,000 I 🥉12 🥈26 🥇52 💎 100 🏆 250 👑 50014

Little bit of frog tickling done today, as I have a few days off work.
All paperwork gone through, sorted and old papers put to one side to be disposed of in confidential waste.
Condiments cupboard cleaned and sorted - operation use up excess condiments is going very well. Unfortunately one unused tomato sauce had to be thrown - had gone mouldy inside which I hadn't even realised was something that could happen.
New passport applied for online, now just need to pull together the paperwork to prove my change of name and post it out.
Have also had plenty of relaxing sessions in between. Have spent a lot of time in the TLC carriage these past couple of months, so hoping spring will bring a boost of energy (once it stops snowing anyway...)15 -
vulpix re fomo.
I have the neediest of all cats .When I go away he gives my DS a really hard time. We ve given up with catteries as on the final visit we were 'taken aside' by the cattery owner to discuss his behaviour
I think he ramps up difficult, needy behaviour to ensure he takes centre stage and no one forgets to feed, fuss ,and generally cater for all his needs when im not here. Maybe fomo cat is doing the same and doesnt give Mr V the same treatment15 -
Cold, wet and windy here.
Mr F - bravely went out to Tesc. to take plastic to their recycling bin - they take stuff that we can't recycle in our household bin.
Darned a sock - I love darning. It was a teeny hole - but a stitch in time......
Had a phone chat with Dgd - will be decluttering money to her - in her last year at Uni - thank goodness as Dgs is only in his second year and it is costly. Oh well - no pockets in a shroud.
I didn't pop to SA this morning - next job there for me is locking up tomorrow.Day 10

Bag of Canderel x 3

Sorry haven't been very good at keeping up with the reading - eyes still easily strained. But I did spot:
Liverpool Anne - that's a very handsome teddy bear
TC77 - I like that coffee pot
