Morning all xx
Total overwhelm yesterday. It happens.
Today is a new day. And it was in danger of copying yesterday but I thought STOP. What one thing can I do to make a start? I decided to take down the Christmas cards randomly plonked on any horizontal surface as they arrived once the shelves were full. ALL Christmas cards are now down except the two in pride of place on the mantelpiece- one from DS, one from Pops. They can come down with the tree on 6th Jan.

Being hopeful as only decluttered 1 item today - calendar.- basically it is as other posters have described - here's a little video explanation that's quite motivating.

Today I restart my decluttering journey after being absent for most of last year.
I have a lot of paperwork that has been sitting in a basket waiting to be shredded and I will be happy if I can complete that by the end of the week.
After that I'm going to be tackling one room, one space at a time.

Good morning MrsSD and fellow declutterers
Not sure what today will bring other than packing for trip away to Uncle-in-law’s funeral.
Have finally gone down with DH’s lurgy - am giving thanks for ‘flu jab as it seems to be helping lessen the load.
Back later. ((Hugs)) to all,
Thrifty xxx

Good luck Frogletina 😊
I've shuffled drying clothes from airer to radiators, had a shower, washed my hair, put all worn clothes into the laundry hamper, got dressed, put clean towels in the bathroom, and used towels and tea towels are now swishing.
I've not put away the airer as once the towels are washed, with an extra spin for luck, they'll need to be draped on the airer.
Next job: coffee (join me?), write Pops' birthday card and put Euros in it ready to drop off this afternoon, and update 2023 calendar.
Book that I finished reading yesterday - cs bag.

Muddy_Walker said:Maps - if they aren’t too out of date see if your local army or air force cadets centre would like them. Map reading is taught by both and the maps they have are sometimes held together with sticky tape and not much else!
Crafters and other musicians/walkers look for them.
Some fab decluttering going on here.
Just off to bag up some wool for SiL and then going to pick her up. DH and I are taking DD and SiL home up to Manchester today. That will be the sum total of my activity as I am going down with the lurgy.

One notebook gone through. A few pages of potentially useful stuff added to computer document or doodle folder (literally a folder of small sketches and doodles), and rest in recycling. So that's one thing out, and nothing in as yet, and a mental note to carry a notebook and pencil at all times so I can use them up and not keep buying and starting new ones. I must have at least 30.
Plan for today is to pop out and get a dressing gown I ordered (1 thing in) and check if the big bins downstairs are empty enough for my rubbish and recycling yet or I'll need to wait until they're emptied on Thursday. Then this afternoon I'll go through bills and other documents and tear up anything out of date, which I'll count as my second item out.
