Love that set of drawers Vulpix. Very droll Mrs SD (I intend to be very silly now - shouldn’t the car’s haircut wait until after it has been in the garage 😂 ) - a badly worded sentence in my post but hope it made you laugh
I actually only took DS2's car round the block - definitely needs garage but I was ok driving it. Took my own car to hairdressers then I drove to Humber Bridge and walked along the riverbank. Finished up in little cafe and had potato and leek soup (yummy) - late DH and I spent lots of time there with small people before they went to school. Free parking, small play areas, nice cafes, ducks to feed and lots of different walks. Did my 4000 steps for today all in one go. Emptied kitchen cupboard and baking tins all lightly washed and ready for DS2 to sort through.

Another frog nudged out of its hiding place. The others are not yet completed - waiting for other organisations to do their bit so can’t actually cross them off yet.More paperwork gone through and most of it could go. I can only manage small amounts of this now as the easy stuff has already gone and this is the more emotional things so just doing a little each day.
Tidied the bedroom a little more - only a small amount to do in there now. Planned the next few days meals around items which are short dated and also I seem to have a number of open packets of nuts and seeds so working my way methodically through those will free up space.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅14 -
Cold here - inside. 61F (16C) at the moment inside. Our heater may have given up the ghost. Have applied for a repairman to come but he isn't scheduled until Friday. Trying to get first draft of book done. Have asked for the referral to get cataract surgery done. One zoom class out of the way today, second in one hour. Clouds are coming in for the next rain storm - supposed to last for three days. Other than the heater, we are prepared food wise and have flashlights in place if needed. Have a good day everyone.15

@skogar - South Bank - I think there are several posters in this area. Lots of people know the bridge but fewer ever explore the countryside I suspect. I drove home through the 'low villages' on the edge of the wolds stopping to admire the many snowdrops in the little churchyards on the way.2025 Decluttering Campaign 733/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Thanks chums. I like the drawers but I have had them almost 40 years. Too high to put the telly on,massive and holds only tiny things! Thinking about it they were the first item of furniture that I renovated. they have a secret door at the back that I can only open with pliers. There is a label inside the door that says the company name and I think 1911 and made in USA. I am going to go through the drawers tomorrow. perhaps I could rehome the office into the large space at the bottom. Currently it holds games, scrabble and the like. The office which is a cardboard pepper box is currently in Mr V's wardrobe. The games could go in the TV unit drawers that were emptied last week. I love it when a plan comes together. We have lived here 18 months now and still things are finding their permanent home.
This evening I have started to feel much better. I think I have missed a fair few posts, sorry if I should have acknowledged something important.
Poor cat TC77. I would have no chance of squeezing either of my cats faces. They are only tame on their terms.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with daily mail immediately
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DH picked up the bike - it is better than it was but still a little wiggle on the handlebars at 38mph but nothing at 39mph 🤔 I dealt with 2 days mail & then dealt with a 3rd 🐸 - rearranged the contents of both garage & kitchen freezers. I have one completely empty drawer in the garage freezer & I can see exactly what I have in the kitchen freezer. I finished the washing & drying which is folded ready to be put away. Only other thing I did was sew up a hole in a pair of knickers 😉 DH went for a walk. Dinner - DH had the 2nd half of his Chinese, DSis had a tin of chicken soup & I had an egg sandwich. Wudupa. DSis & I watched a rather lovely film ‘Edie’ with Sheila Hancock.
649 - 650 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
651 Kitchen detritus binned
Will cheerlead tomorrow 😉
