Lovefilm for me is brillient
I have just started a 30 day trial, was informed when account got activated by e-mail and that the dvds I had asked for were being rushed to me
they came on 19th february after joining up the day before
I had a question to ask them so e-mailed and they replied promptly

Have to say after a year of using them I am anow fed up to the back teeth of them failing to get any new films out. The priority list is a waste of time and the icons that should appear telling you when films may have a display never appear!!
Im cancelling and going back to my old system of buying the films then selling on Amazon..0 -
Lovefilm sounds like romance or !!!!!!! Truly they were better as ScreenSelect - they have a good range of films, but are slow to turn round, & blame the postal service for it. I've found Wilkinson+ faster, but poorer choice, & less sleek website.0

I've been with them since they were dvdsontap which is a good few years now. I have to say that then they were so quick, next day delivery on all films and all the ones that you had in your list. However they were smaller then so I guess it was easier for them to manage.
Anyway, I've stayed with them as I know that I can't be trusted to return films on time to Blockbusters and was keeping them in business with late fees. I still find them pretty good - three days for a new film and although I totally agree with the other posters about not always getting the latest releases, I find, if I keep the list to the just 10 that I really want to see then I get a fairly good selection.
I pay on the yearly fee so it costs about £5 per month for one film at a time which I think is pretty good value all things considered and I've never had a problem with them admin-wise - lucky I guess...0 -
I've been with them a couple of years £7.99 for 4 films/ month (2 at a time). Cancelled Sky movies & got this instead & prefer the choice it gives. OH signed up for 3 month trial on wii games - used work address. This has been excellent - 3 games at once & has let us try some games we had planned to buy but turned out not to be our thing. Will probably cancel this after trial & see if they try & tempt us!0

I have been using Lovefilm for about 6 months now and the only problem I have ever had with them was during the postal strike so it wasn't their fault at all. I always keep my rental list at 10-12 films so that it only contains the films I really want to see and I'm not being sent low priority ones. Turn around of film is generally very quick and delays seem to be from Royal Mail rather than Lovefilm.
As for people complaining that they recieve DVDs from Series 3 of a program before Season 2 the answer is simple. Add the program to your watch list season by season. i.e. add Season 1 then when you've watched them all go in and add Season 2. That way they can't be sent out of order.0 -
My OH subscribed recently for a free trial after seeing the Daily Star offer of the free Life On Mars when you join. Must say i am unimpressed. Apart from the first disc, the rest have all been from down the list and ignoring the top priorities.
I myself had a trial a couple of years ago and had much the same. Despite many emails trying to get me back saying they have improved on supplying your top choices, i held off doing so, looks like i was right to do so.0 -
Cant fault it - just finished a 3 month trial with them.
Sent out films quickly withing 2 days max. Ending the trial was a simple process with no hassel.
May try it again soon:)0 -
We have had really good experience with lovefilm. Very punctual, good choice of films. Good website too with helpful reviews and recommendations etc. We decided not to pay for any tv package because we prefer watching dvds so works out quite cheap for us. (we are very effecient at watching and posting back straight away!) Can't fault them.0
