So now you have asked the self same question four times!!hopperdennis said:So to confirm, to qualify the £1500 just needs to be deposited within 30 days from opening, and then it can be just as quickly withdrawn??
If you only read the previous page of this thread you will see the answer... and the answer is yes. It does not have to be £1500 in one sum either- it can be made up of smaller amounts.......
But it might be safer to leave it overnight if you have only switched for the welcome handshake.......
and as I said before the £1500 could actually be £1 deposited and withdrawn 1500 times- but perhaps that is a tad excessive!!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Can the £1.5k deposit have to take place before or after the switch, or is any point within the 30 days from opening acceptable?0 -
As per the terms:hopperdennis said:Can the £1.5k deposit have to take place before or after the switch, or is any point within the 30 days from opening acceptable?- within 60 days of the date of your new account being opened deposit at least £1,500 into your new eligible account (by one or more deposits)

Ok thanks, so it can be any time (within 60 days from opening) from anywhere and stay there for as little a period as desired.AmityNeon said:

Good news. SMS received to say switch paid following switch with 1500 in the switched account about ten days ago. So reward only 32 days after application. NB. I've previously switched to HSBC and FD and switched out again.0

Did that SMS arrive after the ‘Thanks again for choosing HSBC. We're delighted to tell you your switch is now complete’ one?RN61 said:Good news. Managed to finally get my new HSBC account unlocked - turns out they initially flagged my withdrawn deposit to myself as fraud but then let it through anyway(!), but still kept an attempt marked as suspicious. Quite a few phone calls inc full security shakedown each time I was passed between 3 advisors on the same call to get to this stage.
I've only just transferred from Lloyds and was going to use the HSBC regular savers too, but this has been such a shambles I'll wait for the bonus and then soon switch back again to get £200 from the pair of them.0 -

couldn't quote your post so just to reply.
I did actually receive my cards and pin after 17 days but as I presumed they were lost I had rung HSBC the day before they delivered to cancel so now waiting for new cards, pin and card reader to be sent
Curiously, the email they sent me to say they would give me £10 for delayed cards has been changed. I thought you had to request a recall email to do this? So I have no proof now.
HSBC sent me a 'how are we doing with your switch' email today so laid everything out especially their recinded email and now I don't trust them plus them going back on their word re card delay promise.
I will still make a complaint once I receive my cards.
I have no idea when my account will be switched. Was meant to have been 3rd Jan but old account still active.
Leaves a very sour taste I feel my stay with them will be short-lived though I did join for their children's and saver accounts. The £200 Was a bonus as Barclays were offering very little at the time but may look to switch again to avoid troubles ahead at the next available opportunity.
