HSBC Switch Criteria - £200

Worth knowing that if you've had a HSBC account before, even if it was closed few years ago, you will probably still have the same user ID and password for your new account - I did.
It took 40 days for HSBC to get Telephone Banking Security code to me. Same is required to register / log on to online and app banking - and when you call customer services without it they won't tell you much, if anything (letter with replacement code sent after calling them on day 20 suggests they flagged the call as a possible attempt at a security breach - because I didn't have the code that I had called to make a complaint about not having received!

I got £50 for less delays and a further £100 after complaining. I would pursue for at least another £50. Mine is sorted now and got the £200 cashback last week so total £350. Too bad they declined my £40 cashback.misspretenderboat said:Called HSBC again yest. They admitted the details they had for old a account was not correct. So switch will now be in February after dd's come out. I asked for £10 as was banks promise for late cards but she apologised and gave me £60 for inconvenience and hinted If I was not happy with that to raise a complaint with them.
Have spent hours on phone to old and new bank plus fruitless visits to town centre banks to get sorted.
Would you pursue for more than £60 as post above this one was offered or should I just accept?
