    I've signed up, but as I only spend a couple of quid a day on electricity (including the standing charge) I'm not convinced that even switching the power off at the meter will generate more than a few pence

    ....and we're off. Heating on - check. Hot water on - check. Tumble drier on - check. Going to do the ironing now, a fairly mindless task so a good time to decide how to use the Amazon vouchers :):):)

    Pasta bake is out of the oven. 2nd load in washing machine. Dryer is nice humidifying the kitchen. A half empty dishwasher is 2/3 of the way through the "intensive" cycle. And I'm about to have the longest shower in the history of man. . .yup, 4 minutes!

    Best pace ourselves - looks like there might be another session tomorrow.

    @MuckChucker careful in that hot shower - the human body is not really designed for that sort of thing - 4 minutes of hot water might dissolve you.....
