How out of date is the voucher?  It might be worth a quick phone call asking if there is any way to extend it.  They may say no, but then there is a possibility they might agree, and you and OH can have a nice meal out.  You wont know until you ask

Good news about the recovery plan, hopefully they might be able to fix it there and then, or at least see if it is fixable

RAC cannot fix vehicle. The issue that is causing the engine light to come on is "Ash content of the diesel particulate filter is not Ok." and secondly "Temperature sensor 1 'Exhaust System' cylinder bank 1"

Looks as though from some googling we will need a new DPF filter. £1000 +labour. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-

But, he said we can still drive it for now.  MOT is in 16 days.

ETA: Just spoke to a garage to get it booked in and... they told me not to drive it under any circumstances as it could blow the turbo. Brilliant.

Is it worth fixing?  How many more bits are going to need mending in the near future?  It is a lot of money that you dont have to mend it.

Does your breakdown cover offer towing to the garage?

Dw lurking with a random question about the bungalow, might it be over a mine? I know there were some in that area.

    Hi there @foxandflowers

I've just read your diary from the start and wanted to say well done.  You've made such progress already.  It's not easy to change your mindset and behaviour and, every day, you've been doing something to help you meet your goals.

Keep going - life is throwing you curve balls (and it always will) but I have great respect for the fact that you haven't given up.  You're bound to take a step backwards every now and then - you're only human after all.  But you are obviously a strong, resilient woman and I know you can do it.

Just a quick note before the weekend - bungalow went to best and final offers, I hate that, so withdrew our offer. Our offer was fair for the size etc. HOWEVER. On Tuesday evening I found another house for sale on the same estate, only with an extra bedroom - and I rang on Wednesday morning to talk about it. On Thursday afternoon, husband and his dad went to view, and this morning our offer was accepted. I'll post a link to the house we've bought below... and then probably take it down after the weekend is over to avoid doxxing myself. Please, let me know what you all think of it. Much love,
    Fox.

I love it @foxandflowers. You could change the second lounge out to a 4th bedroom if you needed it. There don’t look to be any costly jobs needing doing and you could soon make it like the first house by throwing some pretty colours at it. The driveway view makes it look really cute and cottagey and then the back view makes it look much larger. You have the best of both there.
