Phone or email a local double glazing firm, they'll be able to send a technician round to see if it's fixable (problem just needs new hinges) or if it need replacing.

I did nothing I wanted to do today.
I did go shopping, had to park in hell, did about a million loads of washing (ok I do need clean clothes), half cleaned out the piggies, cooked dinner, changed mum's bed, repotted a plant, cleaned the kitchen, made lunch, made tea, run the dishwasher three times and cleaned the floor.
I wanted to tackle the mess that is the conservatory. Next weekend I don't need to cook so much. But I am going out. We shall see.

Ok Today was bad. As predicted the obs went badly and on one level I feel humiliated and on another I feel so utterly exhausted and tired of it all. Really so tired. Then we had training which in itself is hard but today was on some difficult case studies. Upset me. And I am tired of feeling bad and so upset that I am being treated in the way I thought. I had a tiny bit of faith that it wouldn't be like this but it is. I really do have such a love hate relationship with my job. If you could be just left alone to do it without any of the !!!!!!, but what is the point wishing that - this is the nature of the job.
Also the house is freezing, the thermostat is on 25 but the room is 20.5 which is too cold for mum and oddly me. I feel so cold.
God you guys I am so sad. I really hope I can go to bed early and sleep this feeling away.

Have you tried putting a thermometer near where the thermostat is. Mine started out (many years ago) pretty accurate but as the years went on it got further & further out. I have got one of those moveable ones now & it is fairly accurate but sits next to a thermometer that also says the % humidity.
