My dearest friend spent a lot of time convincing me to call the doctors. So I did and by a miracle I got an appointment. I spoke to a very nice doctor who signed me off for 7 days. I just couldn't keep going with the ridiculous treatment at work and having to get things ready here. The lack of information from the hospital is crazy but there isn't much I can do about it.
I feel a mix of relief and embarrassment. But I really need the time. I think I had 4 hours sleep last night. Shattered.
Nevertheless she persisted.8 -
Everyone has a breaking point....can you visit your GP and get signed off sick? It's nearly the end of term anyway.1

So glad you have time off work. Now you need to rest, and get in the right frame of mind to keep going. If chocolate helps, then eat it and if extra sleep is what you need, then get that as well. I agree about lack of info from hospitals, we had so many problems when my mum was in several times. They are so rushed off their feet, they do not have time for individual patient care and one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing.
Take a deep breath though and you will get through this, I promise. I've been there, done that and got the tea shirt. Try some meditation, it really does help. xMaking the debt go down and savings go up

Hi Buffy. I've just read this diary from start to finish. You have an enormous amount on your plate and you do sound exhausted. I hope you can take some of this time off work to rest and recuperate - you sound like a good person, doing your best. Wishing you the very best. BiB xDF4

Do you have a health power of attorney for your Mum. If you don't they have absolutely no obligation to tell you anything as the phrase next of kin has no legal meaning at all & some can be funny.

We cross posted but I'm glad that you're signed off. Go back for another couple of weeks off after the 7 days. Don't use the Christmas break holidays then get signed off again as it will count as two separate sick periods if you do.3
