googlefish22 said:Hi. New to this forum and having same long process. Application has been in since 11 October. Valuation completed. Asked for further statements submitted same day on 7 November. They did a hard search and a soft same day application was submitted. I have now got a notification that they have completed 2 further hard searches on my account yesterday. Is this normal?Slightly concerned why they have had to do two further hard searches so late in process. Ltv is 70%.
2 extra hard searches are something you should investigate …
They are often by mistake of broker when they are keying the application1 -
Natwest has reduced their rates, If you haven't complete yet , don't forget to request change of product.
Here are new fixed and tracker rates.

15 working days is what they usually take each time they ask for a document.
Indeed ridiculous0 -
I now have all actions ticked on tracker. Has been like that for 1 1/2 days. Is that a good sign ?0

Hi everyone, just jumping in as I am going through this process solo and I may implode.
Current situation
House im buying ready to go - applied for mortgage late as I had to wait for my 3 months child maintanance to evidence part of my income.
Current property contracts exchanged and completing next week - buyer threatened to pull out if we didn't agree to this which given current market, not in a position to do.
LTV is 58%
Employed in public sector - excellent credit rating with nothing remarkable on record
8th Nov submitted application
9th Nov hard search completed
17th Nov valuation completed and all ok
23rd Nov further soft credit search
24th Nov - requested 2 bits of info - what my unison payments are and were my name on utilities etc (they were but all bills came out of exes account
My broker has escalated it with his contact to get pushed through as next Thursday I will in effect be homeless. Mega stressed.
Anyone help me manage my expectations please? I have no idea what to expect and buying a home for me and my two young children!
