Mine hadn't - I had to close and re-open the app to see there even was an update and then again to see the changes in the app.getmore4less said:Will try mine when I get home if the auto setting has not done them.
If you see my post immediately above yours, you'll see that I did find it in the end thanks. I had tried that, but it told me the first time that the firmware was up to date. I closed the app and tried again later and it now gave me the option to update. So it wasn't intuitive.glennevis said:
The update referred to is a firmware update, i e. the internal software in the plug, not the smartphone app. Go into the Tapo app and there is a section where you can query whether there is an update for your plugs/other devices.BooJewels said:Are you using an iPhone @pioneer ? I'm on an Android and it still shows the version that I have v.2.10.6 from 29th September is the latest. I wonder if the Apple version has been updated first.

Are you using the TapoP110 Python library? If so, there's a bug in the cookie handling which didn't present an issue in earlier firmwares but does now.sandy700 said:Mine was automatically updated and now I can no longer access it with my raspberry pi
Until the fix is merged into the main branch you can manually fix it by replacing your PyP100.py file (likely in /usr/local/lib/python3.8/dist-packages/PyP100 or similar) with this file. If you're in any way uncertain download it first and compare the two files with diff PyP100.py <downloaded file> and you'll see a couple of lines being changed as per the fix.

I just ordered another 4 yesterday for just under £38, they were two packs of two with energy monitoring today they are £40 for just two looks like I ordered them just in time. I nearly ordered a 4 pack for £65 but looked at the price of two and they worked out £27 cheaper for two sets of two that are now £70 for a set of four. Amazon is really screwing people into paying more for certain items depending on when they buy them.getmore4less said:k_man said:

I've set mine to auto update between the hours of 08:00 and 10:00 and it's up to date showing my usage from the desktop and other software as 54W but the other PC, in the bedroom uses 108W but that is an old 3450 version i5 processor compared the AMD A 10pioneer said:You don't update the Tapo app. Enter the Tapo app , select your tapo plug, device settings (little cog in the top right), firmware update.Someone please tell me what money is0 -
Mine were set to auto update, but when I looked yesterday it said "The firmware is currently up-to-date. Enjoy!" It was only when I went back an hour later it told me there was an update available. My auto update time was outside of that time, in the early hours of the morning. So all that achieved was in making me look a bit thick.0

Anyone else's showing janky data since the update?
Monthly usage graph show usage for days in the future.
Daily graph show usage in the future.
Bill also seems confused, and Bill of Past 30 days is only actually for today.
I suspect that the change to data display in the firmware update has gone awry as there is data already there.
May be time to test the delete data option.

updated, made the VERY silly mistake of doing them all and not checking just doing one
have no time to investigate for ages.
The Tapo app no longer showing energy use for mine.

I'm experiencing the same @k_man and wondered whether to just note down the data I already have and start over with a reset.
My freezer is showing 0.506kWh for 'Today's Total' but 0.181kWh for 'Today' with a runtime of 9.4 hours and a Bill value for 30 days of 23p - it only showed 12p yesterday - so it hasn't even added it up right with today's use.0 -
Yes definitely have energy use for 31 October showing… haven’t had it long so can’t be last years data!k_man said:Anyone else's showing janky data since the update?

it’s definitely confused.
but the daily use is nice as I can see how much the washing machine was using on standby too.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0
