I must admit, I've blacklisted Currys personally after several poor experiences and then I bought something they only had one of and was in short supply and a very good price, much like this and made a special 30+mile trip to get it and collected it from the counter and my husband wasn't happy that a seal was broken, so we opened the box and it clearly wasn't new stock, as sold.  The manager ended up being called and said, what on earth makes you so sure it isn't new - "the fact that there isn't any internal cardboard in the box, several items are missing and what is there is in a Tesco sandwich bag - that's generally not how Panasonic box £500 cameras."

So I hope they come good for you @EssexHebridean

I recently bought 2 off Amazon but when set up I couldn't find out how the energy monitoring worked. I found out a few days after that there is a very little arrow at the top of the white section that you swipe up to reveal the energy monitoring section. I was going to send them back but now I know how they work I might buy another couple in a few weeks if they are on offer again. I also noticed that when you connect further Tapo 110 smart plugs when searching for wi-fi connections it brings up the router and login password when you connect more 110's to the network rather than having to type in the password again.
Someone please tell me what money is
  • Do these have adequate battery back-up? I have some energy monitors where the soldered-in internal battery fails over time.
I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".

The tapo app is not that good only displays what the plug sends it.
to get the best needs regular capture of the variable data points current, hour, today, month

Latest firmware update allows reset of data for p110 via Tapo app and running cost/kwh calculations. Hope it helps someone. Enjoy.

Is that available now then - I saw a press release about how it would allow an in-ap reset, but when I went to update the app, it told me that I already had the latest.  It also said that it would give better energy use data, but still looked to be in 0.1kWh increments.  I  shall go have a look thanks.
