Amazon pricing seems to change every few days.  Argos currently have it at 9.99.

It's more dynamic than every few days, it can change within the day on Amazon.

Most popular review on Amazon for the device is a little alarming. It basically says that their privacy policy for the app you need states that they can transfer any of your personal information to third parties.
Maybe the same is buried in other app's T&Cs if you look for it, but it makes you think twice.

That is because you can integrate the plug not only with their own software but also google home, alexa, samsung smart things and a whole bunch of others.   For other data it says " Your personal information will be anonymized so that you will not be personally identifiable by such information".  That is the same as what MSE does on its tools.

@BooJewels has posted on a different thread that they measure in whole kWh so if your appliance uses less than 1kWh you will not know how much which is no good if trying to work out the most economical cycle.

There are others that do record parts of kWh.

@busybee100 - the Tapo P110 records energy consumption in 0.1kWh / 100Wh increments - not whole kWh - so it is more useful than that, but seems a shame that it doesn't give a more refined result, as it does reduce its usefulness for smaller draw items and over shorter time periods - yet it does record the power draw in tenths of a watt.

I did post that up-thread here and I've checked other posts to ensure that I've not made a typo - but I have posted that it's 0.1kWh increments.

Thank you for clarifying Boo, I must have misunderstood your post on the other thread.

The tapo p110 device  measures to 1wh on cumulative and 0.01w on instant

The issue is the tapo app does not display to those lowest resolutions.

I have it connected to home assistant and will be trying the node-red implementation as well.
I want to get the info out in raw form to do my own manipulation

That HA interface I can see usage to 0.001 KWh per day(not that useful as the P110 draw 1w(0.024Kwh day) on its own.

Sample rate seems to be 30 seconds

this is my snapshot view today for a tumble dryer(1) and Washer(2) with current use and daily cumulative

The today option is good for tracking something with a zero start point.

My  tumble dryer use 8wh a day in its best off mode  the washer is 1wh a day.
