Our Fridge/freezer beeps every 30 seconds when you stand there with the door open, wondering what to take out. OH has learnt to ignore the beeps though! :D

After you tap the 'Show More' button, at the top right it has the 'Bill of Past 30 Days' heading, with the money value of the electricity used and under that is a little blue pen icon, tap that and it goes to the Bill Settings - you choose the 'Bill Type' and put in the price 'Per KWh'.  If you've changed anything, a greyed 'SAVE' icon at the top will turn black and allow you to save what you just changed.

Sometimes when you tap the pen icon, there is a pop up window obscuring the above described settings, asking what plugs you want the settings to apply to - tap the cross at the top right corner to make that disappear and the settings are revealed from underneath it.
Tried clicking the blue pen but no matter what I do or change, the save is always greyed out
    Ditto………….

@Alnat1 and @badger09 - I definitely got those t-shirts too.  I haven't gone as far as a spreadsheet - but I do know what is where.  My husband passed away last year and my grown up son doesn't live with me, so there's only me now to take responsibility for any energy use and I'm trying to get a good understanding of it, so that any choices I make are hopefully informed ones and I work efficiently.

After a problem with my electrics and repeated blows of my circuits, I thought the heavily frosted up freezer might be to blame, then an outside security light that I'd had problems with before.   So I defrosted the freezer and decommissioned the light.  My energy use dropped tangibly, so I was curious if it was the freezer using more than it should. The problem itself wasn't either, but a broken breaker, now replaced.

I think it was the light using the additional juice, in reality - I think cats were setting it off all night and it was still a higher load Halogen, so that's been replaced with a solar LED.  Silly to waste money on something I'm not getting any benefit from.  I had contemplated replacing the freezer with a more efficient one, but I just don't feel the need now.  So my ten quid Tapo has potentially saved me several hundred.

Now it has passed 10:30am when I reset the data yesterday on the P110, it still shows yesterday's use in the Day tab but the date on it is today's, but I can see from the pattern of spikes that it isn't the data from today - and it goes to midnight.  In the calendar, it shows 'no data' for yesterday.

So the new firmware update is obviously not fully successful - something as fundamental as changing the energy price should simply work - that's not calculating anything in itself, just an entry.
  • PRICE PER KWH ISSUE....... After trying many times to input a price and get it to save I thought I would try deleting the app and redownloading it....... Hooray, it now works

That's smashing @HumberFlyer - did it retain all your plugs and data, or did you have to start over with everything?  I looked at the app on my tablet last night and was surprised to see plugs on there that I've bought since I last opened the app on it, so I hope it might keep the data in your account.

Does the data show properly for the right day etc?

Yes it rembered plug, no setting up again. As for retaining data, I don't know as I deleted all data before reinstalling app

Thank you.  I might try it on my tablet first, see what that presents me with.  I don't really want to lose run time on some of my P100s on lamps, as I'm just assessing some of my schedules.  It doesn't give energy use, but does tell you how long it's been on, which is useful when you know the draw on fixed items.

So sorry to hear about your husband. It must be difficult acclimatising to a new lifestyle.

I’m waiting with baited breath for @HumbleFlyer response before deleting & downloading app again

Thank you kindly @badger09 - having lived with my parents until I got married, then being married for almost 40 years, it's the first time I've lived on my own and it is taking some time to adjust.  If you could see the mishap I've just had and the mess I've just made in the kitchen, you'd conclude I'm perhaps not fit to.    :D

I just reinstalled the app on my tablet and apart from having to sign in again, it just carried on as before - it's not fixed the problems I'm having though - showing yesterdays data as todays.

Oh dear sounds like it’s one of those days. In my quest to reduce energy consumption, I switched off husband’s old Pure Evoke Mio which he leaves plugged in all the time to recharge the battery, whether it needs it or not. Unfortunately the **** thing now won’t work at all, even on mains supply. So I have to source a suitable replacement for garden duty (radio, not husband😊). Probably saved a few pennies at a cost of £70 ish😳.

Re the Tapo, think I’d better leave well enough alone
