During the gap we were with TSB and I have to say their online platform was pants. Frequent outages and hopelessly slow response times.
I applied for the 2.75% saver account last week and the a/c was live within minutes. Perhaps I was lucky, or perhaps I applied before the stampede to grab it!!Lucky swine

On Nov 3rd they ought to be raising by 1.0% but I expect they will do 0.75% which will keep the £ tanking. Anyway that will mean 2.75% on that account should go up. It will be less than the base rate. Santander are just pre-empting this movelohr500 said:I wonder if the deal has been pulled because of the unprecedented demand or because the thinking on interest rates is likely to be different following more Govt U turns today?

I have not yet received letters in the post but account up and running and excited to be paid interest at the end of the month.
I am glad I managed to open my mom’s also, really unpredictable when products will be pulled, they have now reduced the interest rate to 2%

Applied on the evening of the 11th, day the account was released. I received the confirmation email with the 'More details in 3 working days' spiel. I have given Santander the benefit of the doubt assuming extreme demand could delay some exceptions or applications being processed. But having a read though it looks like I may fall into the 'Lost Application' pot, so unfortunately I guess they will not be able to honour my initial application and the only account available will now be Issue 2. I feel a complaint may be the only way to resolve this!0

£ is back where it started this month, so not sure it can still be described as "tanking"...MiserlyMartin said:

Does anyone get the ‘Check and Confirm Details’ message pop up on the app? And when you go to complete the form, there’s an error? I tried calling but was waiting for half an hour or so and gave up. Will try again tomorrow because I don’t want to be locked out of my savings!0

I was told they are working through all this applications where there was a glitch and they will hopefully be opened by next week. They will honour the 2.75%.Tom_Hendo said:Applied on the evening of the 11th, day the account was released. I received the confirmation email with the 'More details in 3 working days' spiel.
