It appears to be Issue 2 at 2.0% now1

Yes. I hope that if I applied before the deadline at midnight yesterday, and received the email with an OLA code yesterday and request to send ID docs, they will honour the 2.75% interest rate and not give the lower 2.0% rate.
What do people think? Docs have been posted this morning.0 -

I'm an existing and longstanding 123 (Full) account holder and applied last Tuesday.
I received the acknowledgement e-mail with confirmation OLA reference number but nothing else.
I rang the complaints line this morning and was told that my account application couldn't be traced - there was a computer glitch affecting a certain series of OLA numbers.
The customer adviser told me to re-apply immediately and she would ring me back once she had checked that the new application had gone through.
She called this afternoon to say that the application had been received and would be processed but she couldn't give me a time scale because they were working through such high demand!
She also said that I might find that two accounts would be opened and if so that I would be able to close one of them through on-line banking.
You couldn't make it up!

Can you set interest to be automatically transferred to another account?

I’m still waiting for my application. Got an email saying they’ll respond within 3 working days on Thursday. I’ve got an OLA22 application number. But has the interest dropped to 2%? I won’t bother chasing up if it has. I get that on my account already0

I strongly recommend that anyone considering opening any account with Santander should check the reviews on Trustpilot before proceeding. These reviews clearly show how bad Santander's system and customer support is. I just wish I had checked these reviews before I opened an account and began the very painful process of dealing with Santander's appalling customer support.0

Trustpilot would be close to the bottom of my list of places to check for financial products

My application was accepted. I'm now just waiting for 2nd letter before "getting started". Applicants were asked what sum they were likely to deposit - not sure how it was worded, but something like that. Firstly can I ask whether I'm likely to be held to that, as I'd like to double it? Haven't been in this situation before, and I understand that rates generally may climb such that this ceases to be an issue, however I don't want to move cash from its current home to my current account, then on to Santander only to find that they've limited me to my guesstimate figure, and have to waste time moving money back.0
