Yesterday morning, along with some other Spectos items, I received a card from Royal mail which states that the sender did not pay full postage and that I need to pay £2.50 to receive the parcel.

There is absolutely no possibility that this can be anything other than a Spectos item as I am not expecting any parcels whatsoever.

Has anyone else experienced this? I am extremely reluctant to have to travel to pick up this item and, although I know £2.50 is not much, I do not think that I should have to pay to receive one of their items.

I have emailed them but I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this because I do not understand how such a mistake could have happened!
Very interested as has happened to me today.
Like you I don't see why I should pay.
Please could you tell us what they say when they, eventually - I know they take ages, reply.
I would ignore it. No way would I travel to collect and pay for the privilege.
You don't have to travel. Just stick a few stamps on the card and return it or pay online. We all must have a few spare stamps and no doubt Spectos will replace them.

Charity shops are pretty ruthless with stock that doesn't move. I think that is where Spectos are getting some of these books. Some even have a charity shop stock label on them. There is an old phonebox near me that is now a book exhange. Guess where some of my better books are going? The rest will go back to Spectos in their new boxes if they are small enough for the parcel postbox nearest to me.
I put 2 of their new medium parcels into a parcel post box this morning, they were larger boxes that they had cut down smaller, one went in no problem the other with a little force 😂

My question , I understand we get the points for these, but do we still get stamps like Kantar?   If so should i have got these when i joined Spectos , or dont you get any till you start posting mail ??

It seems to be designed that you do CD and UA during your rest period so you only get stamps when on live posting.  But it isn't properly aligned yet - I'm live and in my 8th month and I've done CD and bene invited to UA.

(Got the UA invite last week and this time it has actually appeared on the app for me to start tomorrow).

As for the Something to Pay cards.  With Kantar, I got 2 or 3 in 7 years.  I always scanned it, slapped a couple of Large 1st stamps on the card to get it delivered and if it was a test item, e-mailed Kantar about it.  They then refunded me the Fee to Pay with vouchers (old style) or points (new style).  So I would expect Spectos to do the same.  They need to know - as it would indicate a mistake by either a sending business panellist or the team that made the items.  Or an RM mistake - which they should also need to know about.

The pain would be if it was a While You Were Out card and it took time and effort to go to the DO and collect it.
I need to think of something new here...

I think the logic of the unaddressed being on your time out is that you won’t be receiving Spectos mail. So it will catch out those times when the postman only puts the unaddressed mail in those letter boxes he/she is at rather than every letter box. (assuming like me, you will have days with no post if you aren’t receiving Spectos mail)

I did unaddressed mail the weeks starting Mon 27 March & 03 April, with the 3 following weeks it ended Sunday 30 April.
Anyone else who did this - have you received the 300 points yet?  Asking as I haven’t.
