No - I've been reading and wish you well. I keep quite as others will have proper advice.
My debt journey was related to my husbands business bankruptcy and us nearly losing the family home - I bought him out (by mortgage) of his share 50%, paid off stuff related to me that he had spent, so I could pay the official receivers. I then had to pay the £15k extra from another mortgage or the receivers where going to reverse it all back. Cutting right back to minimums, extra shifts and shorter cheaper holidays worked.

I'm still reading. Will offer advice where I can. One thing I will say again, which I think has been said before....has your wife looked at online surveys at all, as a way of earning extra money. Even if she chooses to use her earnings to go out, rather than to help with paying household expenses, it would stop her moaning about not being able to go out. I started with them in September and have earned over £600 so far.Making the debt go down and savings go up

With regard to the jet washers on the car....is it something you could buy the parts online & then look on YouTube to see how to fix them. My DH does this for everything. Saves so much money, especially getting the parts from EbayMaking the debt go down and savings go up

I am popping in to say please keep on posting. I don't have the ability of others on here to offer good advice but
i have been avidly reading your diary and hoping you will turn things around. My own credit card debt of over £25k was entirely my fault and my own over-spending and it was still not easy to dig myself out of it. I'd have days where I would stupidly spend again and then hate myself for it. You have it so much harder with the person spending again isn't you and I'm really hoping she will see the light soon and help you. Does she admire any celebrities who got into debt and out again? That's the level of suggestion I have which is why I don't post!
I wish you luck, keep on keeping on!0 -
I'm still reading and wishing you well.
I can second the vote for you tube videos and ebay for simple money saving car repairs.0 -
Hi guys
Fortune blessed me and it was a small fix and so they didn't actually charge me (thank u Kwikfit)
On home front, it's different.
Came home and found the missus had spunked £60 on a pair of trainers my 12 Yr old (shoe wrecker BTW) didn't need.
Naturally I wasn't happy., so as a reprisal she flushed my anti D meds as said they were pointless and when collected car from garage came home and found she locked me out the house so spent the night freezing in my shed, which is where I'm writing from now!

Just popping in to give you a hug.
I don’t post usually but I’ve been reading your diary and I’m cheering you on from the sidelines.
I hope you get things sorted with your wife today and I hope she’s full of remorse for the way she has treated you. It’s a difficult situation you’re in x28/12/24
